Nice work, mate. I'm a fan of the original, and this is a pretty good cover. Good vocal control, and you did good selecting where to layer your voice. Nice on nailing the bit at the end too. The choice of those gentle tones during the instrumental bridges was good too. Only thing I might criticize is maybe hitting the T's a little harder in the word Sentence during the chorus.

Tbh dogdog is the only song I know from Abu-Se-Ken, I should probably check out more of his work, haha. I definitely plan to share more of my translyrics and record covers in the future though, so if I'm feeling inspired I might cover another one of Abu-Se-Ken's songs :D

Seriously though, I don't expect much from an english cover especially since dogdog isn't that well-known, but holy shot I'm dead wrong. You did a fantastic job at singing it and the lyrics is almost the same as the original translation!

at first i did not like this cover. i thought you were one of those people with bad mic and no experience in singing (which is not bad, but i wanted dogdog some justice lol). you really surprised me with how good you are! your voice is mesmerising and i love this half-whispering but still very emotional tone you're going for. subbing❤
LOL that's very fair, I'm incredibly new to singing and recorded all my vocals with my phone in my bedroom. Tuning and mixing can go a long way in making an amateur performance sound decent :3

I discovered this recently and I've been honestly obsessed! I found the original recently as well and I looked up the song and your cover was recommended. I thought to give it a shot and I think I've listened to this cover atleast once a day the past week or more. Ive listened to it so often and I'm yet to be tired of it. I could listen to this forever and I'm always happy to see this on my recomended. It's so beautiful. Your voice is so lovely and nice to listen to. Even with the theme of the song it genuinely just soothes me. (I could ramble on this for so long. You genuinely have such a pretty voice and I love it so much.) I love the arrangement as well. It keeps the essence of the original but it's still your own. I love how beautiful it sounds. The lyrics fit so well and how you were able to fit them in and sing them so fast is amazing to me. You really did amazing on this and I'm so happy I discovered this cover! You did amazing and such a beautiful cover. Honestly one of my favorite covers ever. I love it more then the original (the original is beautiful though). I binge watched your entire channel. And I cant wait for more covers from this underrated channel!

I'm honestly a little self-conscious about my voice because I think it's unconventional sounding and can sometimes come across as nasally or grating(?), so it honestly means the world to me that you think it sounds pretty 😭💕💕
Just a small correction though, I did not make the arrangement for this!! I do normally remix/re-arrange the songs I cover, but in this case I just used the original instrumental :p (unless you were talking about the vocal arrangement, in which case thank you so much aashgkdshgdks) I might actually take a break from making remix arrangements in the future because I want to focus a little more on singing and vocal mixing

ok i just looked it up and I HAD NO IDEA LOL WHOOPSIES
I had the North American definitions in mind when I wrote that lyric in (like to cause trouble, that kind of "dogging"), and I liked that it sounded similar to the Japanese 駄犬 ("daken").
The direct translation of 駄犬 is along the lines of mutt/mongrel/bastard/insert term for "inferior breed of dog", and no definitions of "dogging" quite fit that translation; I just ended up prioritizing vibes and syllable flow over accuracy when deciding how to go about writing this part (singing "mongrel" or "bastard" in that part just doesn't sound right to me).
