The perfumer on this was Nathalie Lorson, she is famous for producing low-cost creations which smell way more expensive than they cost, she also made Lalique Encre Noir line and also quite a lot of Bentley Fragrancesplus many other creations for other houses, she is indeed very skilled.
Come to find out, I like a lot of her fragrances. Thanks for that info. I have found my first “favorite perfurmer”.

I bought this specifically bc of Miss Lorson. Encre Noir a la Extreme is my favorite if I had to choose one, it has a depth to it that I haven't smelled since I discovered it. I'm waiting on Mandarina to arrive, right now. Aaron makes me even more excited for it's arrival.
I just received this in the mail literally 20 minutes ago and It smells impressive.

I received this fragrance yesterday for £15!! Genuinely can’t believe how good it is for the price. It was a blind buy just because it was so cheap. I’m only checking reviews now to see if it was just me that thought it was a great fragrance for the price. Glad you agree 👍🏻 love your videos and the passion you put into them.
On fragrantica it has a great rating, but the reviews don't give it enough credit. This is a fantastic smelling alluring and inoffensive scent. longevity is only 3 to 4 hours, but I am not complaining about it, for that price.

It really is. Similar vibe to Spicebomb or Man in Black, for a fraction of the price.
I love this scent and the Extreme is heavier but pretty much the same even more amazing
After watching several of your videos in the last few days, @1:02 I find that phrase "Are we engaged with our Higher Self" quite powerful and inspiring. Kind of summoning our best selves when we are about to do something. Maybe in particular, when about to do something we enjoy and are passionate about, we want to excel at, or we want to continue excelling at. I wonder if there is some specific background for this phrase, Aaron? Maybe meditation, or Buddhism-related?
Mabye you allready have, but look in to psychosynthesis. Founded by Roberto Assagioli in the rarly 19. Hundreds.
The consept in a nutshell is that we can explore the idea of our ideal self and take it as a fixed, but also developing point to orient ourselfes. You can finde looots of meditations to connect to that subconcious higherselfe. Becarefull with the wuwu bs but the theory behinde it is quit solid and totaly fine to explore.

I know this is an old one, just wanted to say this was an excellent review of one of my all-time favorite cheapies. Mandarina Duck Black was my go-to right after high school, when I didn’t have money for cool niche fragrances. Sweet, versatile, and just unique enough to set you apart in a room full of Aqua Di Gio. Perfect for young guys on a budget. It will always have a place in my heart.

Excellent review, as always. I have the Extreme version (edp) also very inexpensive and I enjoy it very much. I’ve heard the two are very similar but the extreme is a bit richer. Smells VERY similar to Xerjoff Uden which retails for about $300 for a 1.5oz. Of course Uden is a bit more natural smelling, but on a budget this is an excellent alternative.

Very honest review for that cheap perfume " mandarina duck black" that is sold almost everywhere and the result with mixing it or layer it with Animalix was very intestine, my self I am years mixing it with iso e super and the sillage and complexity is way better .

In July 2011, E-Land, a large Korean retailer, purchased the debt-ridden Mandarina Duck.
Fun fact, hah, well good for them because most things that I nosed from them smelled great for the low price. Black and Cool Black are on top.

Sounds interesting but mainly wanted to comment to thank you for my 50ml order of Oud which I received Monday and the couple of freebies that came with it, especially Violet Delerium which is also gorgeous stuff, I'll definitely be getting a 50ml of that at some point!

You can get this thing for like $20 lol, it's crazy how you can get such high quality juices for that price. As per usual, great review.
Designer brands save a lot on materials because they buy in massive bulk, especially if they're part of some bigger conglomerate company. Also, I'm sure they earn a small margin but make most of their money from the sheer number of units sold

Thanks for this discovery. You can take a look at "black" from Comme des Garçon (pepper, dark insence, licorice). Very challenging smell

My exact thoughts, the fact that a 100ml tester costs 22-25 bucks is astonishing. Smells so sophisticated and refined for that price range. I call it the poor man's Spicebomb. (Although it misses the tobacco note)

Hi Aaron, I just my 10ml sample of Slut. The new formulation is so much better than the original formation. The new formulation is sweeter, as opposed to the original one which was green and bitter because of the petitgrain.

Extreme version almost smells close to chanel..
8 out of 10 , I am loving it. there is another one that blows peoples mind which is incredible cheap. from trussardi.

I can’t get over the vanillin and ethyl vanillin overdose in this. It’s a great fragrance, but it’s very vanillin to me......way vanillin. But still a great fragrance for the price

Correct labelling on the outer box means it complies with the paperwork. That means a perfume company is producing safe fragrance. No labelling on the outer box means it’s not legal to sell!
