If you look into DH2020 on its own, and not base idea on previous release, you will find it is a very nice fragrance. Many times I read reviews trashing it, usually they compare it to the old one.

A few days ago a collegue of mine, who knows that I love and collect fragrances, asked me what I thought about the 2020 Homme. I said that I haven't smelled it yet and he said "tomorrow I'll bring the bottle to work, don't apply no perfume". Next day he comes with that huge 150ml bottle and I applied 4 sprays of it. I liked it from the start but as the day went by I started really loving that smell. I have weird skin and fragrances mostly don't last very long but this one - not only smelled amazing, but also lasted extremely long. Even after work I was getting whims of it. I'll definitely purchase it because it is very pleasing, very masculine and long lasting, while at the same time doesn't come off as agressive as other long lasting fragrances.

I know it gets a lot of criticism because lack of iris but for me I look for masculinity in fragrances, so I love those masculine woody fragrances. For my personal taste I would go for the 2020 version, I don't think I tried the original Dior Homme but I listened to a lot of people on what it smells like and already know what I would prefer. Being a woman, I agree that the pre-formulated Dior Homme is very unisex. I love and wear it all of the time. My favorite side of it is when my body heat warms up the cacao really shines(it usually hides in the background). It is such an elegant men's fragrance . For the time the original formulation of Dior Homme was made in 2005 to cross the barrier between men's and women's fragrances by using feminine notes to make a masculine perfume which was more groundbreaking at the time. Demachy loves to use aroma chemicals rather than natural

Excelent review, mr. Aaron! I know Dior Homme 2011 and the first version 2005 wich i think its the best iris in this category luxury designer, period. Francois DEmachy continued the hard work of the Olivier Polge. And then again, Francois Demachy released a new 2020 Dior Homme wich is basically a new Dior Homme, thats slghty different from 2011 and more different from 2005 forumaltion. No iris/oris rot! But i tested it and its pretty good. My personally favourite from the line will remain Dior Homme Intense 2011, wich is perfect crafted in my opinion. I love your reviews, did a great job! Dior homme 2020 was obviously a better creation I see it selling well at stores... where the vintage was really never a hit only a big hype train for you tubers hyping it up. Dior needed to create something masculine and good to make sales not to please the fragrance community.... glad to see you kept it real here 💯 my respect.

Aaron, I mostly don't know about chemistry, but really, this one gives me an idea of how several perfume won't work for several people. For way too long, I've been hating this kind of fragrance like Mont Blanc Legend. There probably some notes that make me nausea, maybe its the lavender, i don't know, maybe its sandalwood. Can you do this kind of video so I can stop buying the wrong fragrance?, really love this content by the way!

Quick and funny story: Last week I went to my local retailer to get a 100ml back up bottle of Dior Homme 2020. They mistakenly sold me a 100ml bottle of Dior Homme 2011 and I only realised this when I got home and looked at the presentation. I sprayed it on after a bath and found it pleasant and the iris prominent. I thought of taking it back but seeing as these are hard to come by I am actually keeping it. I am thakful for the mistake they made to be honest.

Aaron you should construct a perfumers course and cash out
You would make a mint 1500$to 2000$ perhaps and 10,000-25000 purchases maybe more . Good mine for you , sharing your skills and passion as well as your process to cultivate the art of perfumes from such a humble and expert perfumer would be groundbreaking and it’s untapped as in the market for such a thing

Hi Aaron ! Nice review as always ! IMO as a Dior fanatic the Dior homme 2020 is hyper boring super safe ordinary perfume ! I don’t care so much that is not related to the older versions but I do care that with half the price you can have similar mid and base with guerlain homme edp ! I don’t know what they had in their mind .... Cheers

8:09 Sauvage smells surprisingly positive within the first moments. I assume it often wins the battle when testing a lot of fragrances. like: "Oh wow, this one is....I get it, that smells... nice perhaps?.....".I don't know what is the trick but it seems to work and people like it at that moment. but after you know it for a while, it is a strange and annoying DNA and I don't want to smell like that. absolutely not. It's intrusive. I smell it often in the supermarket queue at the cashier on others.

I'm not really what you'd consider the totally "alpha" masculine man really but I smelled this recently and was honestly really surprised by how much I really loved it. I really do enjoy dry and woody smells and this was really just on the spot for me.
