The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Cliff's awesome! :) he really is a great role model for people wanting to teach others. Patient beyond belief, Incredibly knowledgeable, and he can get people to listen by applying simple logic to their arguments.
He is!! Listening and ensuring he understands what others say then responds.
@@obedbatchuthat’s literally what he is teaching lol.. he says over and over to look at the gospels for themselves.
Honestly,Cliffe I’m striving to have half the patience you have dealing with these intellects
So much respect to you to stand out there and try to help these young souls.
those young souls are older now, young people now are more disrespectful and they dont wear belts or look clean-cut lol
As he was talking about the supernatural at the end, I think it is important to note that many believe that some of what happens in the occult are demons pretending to be familiar people, and they know about a person's background because they are familiar with the person having watched them from the spirit realm. There is a spiritual battle going on in the invisible realm, and sometimes it happens in our minds. Scripture says,
"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." James 4:7-10, NKJV.
I love the look of pride on his face when the other audience member began debating the blond woman. He was like "yes, this is what I'm looking for. Debate away!"
you can read thoughts?
I seriously love that old intro. It low key hypes me up!
Except for the first kid, mad respect for these kids for at least asking good questions and being respectful about it!
Wow cliffe in his early days was fire. Still is.
I love cliffe, but young cliffe was such a savage I love it😂🤍
I loved the part where one student brought up a good point to another student, and there's Cliffe in the background, silent for the past bit, just standing there smiling knowing better than to interject. I'll look for a timestamp real quick.

1999 was a good year. I was only 9 years old then. Can't compare these days with how it was then. The golden years. ❤
90s was a great decade
I hated the 90s in the 90s. I didn't realize how good it was compared to 2001 to the present.
@@wakeupslaveamerica what didn't you like about the 90s? And what did you like about the 2000s?
@CJBlake-ym6ky I know you didn't ask me but for me I liked how in the 90s traditional values were embraced. Family, man, women, children, marriage etc had more meaning back then. Then the 2000s hit and I feel like around that time is when the decline started. ;( just imagine what it will be like on earth when the days become like the days of Noah.
@@arkhamkillzone I believe we're in those days, they've just not been fully realized. Brainchips have already gotten through FDA approval, people are following politicians rather than God, the US's power is weaning as Israel is surrounded. I guess we have to wait and see if more people turn to Christ rather than fall away.
"The spirit of the Lord is upon me because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the broken hearted. To preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind"
Luke 4:18
So strange that on a university campus, of all places, that so many of these kids reject Christianity because it comes from "a book".
@@Theo_SkeptomaiI mean you have to look at it this way it is a choice if you want to follow God or not and God has a house. and that house has rules for you to stay in it. just as any one would have rules for there guests and we have to follow those rules and it’s Gods house (heaven) and he makes up those rules and if ppl don’t like the thought of having to follow those rules then that’s ok but you are not able to live in that house but there are two houses heaven and hell you have a choice wich one you want to follow and me I believe that what God says is evil as evil and if you chose to see it as that it’s ok to do those things then that’s ok but like I said at the end of the day it’s Gods house and if you want to live in it that’s up to us to follow the rules or not
@Theo_Skeptomai Which claims?
@@Theo_Skeptomai Sounds like you're just trying to avoid engaging. But if that's the case, what is your purpose for coming in here? Just to troll?
@@Theo_Skeptomaibeing skeptical, I think, is wise, but it's definitely worth doing the work of finding out and making sure it is or isn't true.
@@Theo_Skeptomai Let's do it.
Because you are cordially leaving it up to me to choose the particulars, I propose to start on a very basic level and work our way up from there:
The possibility of just the existence of the monotheistic God of the bible. What is your difficulty with that?
Shame that Universities require philosophy and not religion with a course outline modeled after "Ask Cliff" with the same approach. Also interesting that kids believe more in Roman methods, when there is more eyewitness history on Christianity than there is Roman first person history. Thankfully we know "the door" to eternal life through Christ. God Bless All and thank you Cliff for all the years of perseverance to open minds.
Name one eyewitness who's been interviewed and a transcript of the interview
I actually looked into the Hebrew and the Greek word for "virgin".
Parthenos(Greek)
Betula(Hebrew)
While, those words CAN be translated into "young woman" or "marriageable maiden", the context is still the same. Which is that virgin means that the woman is "separated from intercourse with a man" or that she "has not yet known a man".
In ALL usages of the word virgin, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament, it is used to describe a woman who hasn't had sexual relations with a man.
Another great video!!
Perfect example from Cliffe on the use of Proverbs 26:4-5: Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.
People who can't think for themselves and make their own points, they are the ones who regurgitate verses from the bible
@@trevornunn3285 God loves you ❤️
@@davidsultzaberger8829 They also repeat meaningless platitudes, without any form of sincerity
People will believe in almost anything as long as it’s not God.
Cause the devil has blinded the minds of those who don't believe for they rather hear what they want to hear that isn't the truth as his word says in Timothy
@@Theo_Skeptomai the reason you don't believe my friend is because of pride when you have pride you'll never understand your Creator or the Bible without being born again in the spirit for God says in Romans that those who are not born of the spirit are not his children plus it's your sins of unbelief that's kept you away from him as Isaiah 59 explains
Only, the God of the bible is man-made dung
Your acting like belief in Christ is an American religion when it’s not. I was an atheist most my life but then I grew up and started to actually look around me and learn. The signs of God are all around you. You just have to look…unfortunately most people don’t bother because they don’t seriously consider the consequences of being wrong.
@@AlphaAchilles exactly it's all about relationship with God
In biblical times the word Virgin meant virgin! It was pronounced Almah, It wasn't until later that it was recognized as Maiden. Therefore when it was written by Isaiah in Isaiah 7:14 it meant exactly what it says, Which is Virgin !!!!!❤😊 Oh and by the way, what would be the sign If it wasn't virgin????😊
Didn't Moses tell his men to save virgins for themselves? The conquer enslave the defeated were part of the spoils of war back then, though.
Great point on Isaiah but also with the logic. If she wasn't a virgin, then it would just be another young woman having a baby. Nothing special about it. The fact that Mary WAS a virgin is why this was unique among all people and why it would have to be a sign from heaven.
@@sidwhiting665 Exactly... What would Be the sign? You got the
point👍😊.
yeah just like many other man-made deities, all born of virgins. Obviously coped from pre-existing belief systems
@@sidwhiting665 Insightful! Another rather important point is that the Greek translation of the old testament was made some 200 hundred years before Christ, so therefore even if it was changed to virgin during translation the statement is still a prophecy fulfilled since the translation occured 2 centuries before Crist was born.
Cliffe Rocks!
That Teletubbies shirt rocks !
I didn't even finish high school, but these college students make me feel smart
Alma in Hebrew means "young unmarried woman". Unlike this Body Count Era in the West that horrifically skews interpretation of sexual mores in other cultures and eras, it was an extremely safe assumption that, in the absence of a context that suggested that this or that particular alma was behaving in a rather un-alma-like way, when you said 'alma', virginity was implied.
Alma in biblical time from what I've studied meant exactly that.... The word didn't migrate too Maiden or young married woman Until much later..... I learned this from a Messionic jew who's Family's from the line of San Hedron .... He is fluent in Hebrew for It is his native tongue. He was raised up in the most orthodox town in Israel. "BNEIBRAK"
His name is Zev Porat.
If you would like, listen to his testimony, it's definitely a breath taker. God Bless you 😊
Excellently said
Thank you Cliff you exposed the lack of compassion the young man displayed when you confronted him about the hypocrisy of saying you love God but mistreatment people. That is the basic tenet Jesus taught, that’s what He jumped the Pharisees about. We are commanded by Jesus to love God , neighbors and our enemies. If you have no problem with sin and unrighteous you have acquired the worthless mind Paul writes about in Romans 1:28-32.

Yeah it's a bit strange Cliffe posted this vid at all. The questioners really nail him to the wall on a lot of different points (including the exchange starting at your timestamp), and he really has no good response to it. He _doesn't_ have evidence that outweighs all the evidence that indicates resurrections don't happen. He'd need extremely strong evidence, but he instead has extremely _weak_ evidence (a handful of authors claiming something happened is really awful evidence).
@@tonygoodkind7858 your misunderstanding cliffe point. He answered him amazingly. To believe in a supernatural God is to believe he has to intervene at some point in History. That point was 2000 years ago where he walked the earth with mankind and shown himself to mankind and they rejected him as they do now and killed him. He was resurrected and still lives today. There were eye witnesses from which we have the Bible. John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have NOT seen, and yet have believed. which is our generation and every generation after his resurrection. It takes faith. Like he said, just because it’s not on video doesn’t discount that it didn’t happen.
@@_NEW3RA_ I feel like you already deeply understand that's wrong. After all, (a) in all human history we don't have evidence of people resurrecting, but (b) imagine ~6 commenters show up in this thread telling you _I_ resurrected, *would you be convinced?* Because you sure seem convinced by the Bible's claim, which is essentially the same thing (just 2000 years in history).
Don't get me wrong, those ~6 commenters saying I resurrected also tell you there were over 500 eyewitnesses to my resurrection, so clearly that's over 506 eyewitnesses worth of evidence...right? Or...is it just ~6 commenters _saying_ there are that many eyewitnesses?
Keep in mind nowhere else in humanity is evidence of my resurrection. It's just the stories told by these ~6 commenters. And you can confirm with outside evidence that I'm a human who existed in the year 2000 when I was claimed to have resurrected, but there's no actual corroborating evidence of a resurrection.
I mean it gets worse if we add details like these ~6 commenters saying I'm part of a god that's all-knowing, all-powerful, and cares about your belief/worhsip in me, right? After all
1. An all-knowing god would know evidence is our only reliable way to know truth.
2. An all-knowing god would know that ~6 commenters is laughably bad evidence (insufficient to justify believing supernatural things like a resurrection, or a god).
3. An all-knowing god would instead know what evidence would be *reasonable* for a claim of that strength.
4. An all-powerful god *could* provide that evidence.
5. A god interested in your belief/worship *would* provide that evidence.
6. But you don't have that evidence. You just have ~6 commenters saying something is true (and trying to make their claim sound more believable by saying there were lots of eyewitnesses -- and worse: _encouraging you to abandon rationality by relying on faith, which humans know isn't a reliable way of knowing truth!_ )
Thats the issue, they cannot even comprehend the possibility of God existing so even if an actual supernatural "sign" happened to them personally they would invent some naturalistic assumption on the spot, which is ironically likely why God doesn't stoop to their cry for "evidence."
When he throws up his hands😂 2:10

best part of the video
Cliff is awesome.
at 11:26 Cliffe says "The only reason people go to Hell is that people choose to live their life separate from God" Surely people can live decent lives without the need to believe in a God. I don't believe I've committed any major crimes in my life that would warrant a spell in prison, let alone an eternity in Hell. Same with virtually every single person on the planet. What would warrant eternal damnation?, I can't think of anything.
Have you blasphemed? Have you stolen? Have you lied? Have you lusted after someone? These are all unholy in the eyes of God. God takes sin so seriously that He will justly serve you your punishment. But, because He is so loving, He gives you a way out through Christ. It's like getting a speeding ticket. You have to pay the fine for speeding. But someone else comes along and tells the judge that He will pay your ticket for you, and because of that, you are allowed to walk free.
Only a sadistic, twisted person would want hell to be true. To be OK with someone you love going to hell b/c they couldn't believe in a god is terrifying. Sure, if there were clear stipulations like, "you only go to hell if: you commit murder, rape." But even then, the murderer and rapist can still get in heaven, if only they believe. While their victim could be in hell.
@@CJBlake-ym6kyso I'm guessing your saying I'm sadistic and twisted huh🤔 why...because I want justice for sin and so does God. Don't you know he'll wasn't made for humans it was only for lucifer and the fallen angles but unfortunately gods children like to use our freewill to do evil following in Satan's footsteps.
The fact that a rapist can be in heaven after repentance and the person who got raped could he in hell is a example of gods glory and mercy. When someone's repents they not only get forgiveness from God but also must continue to live holy without sin till death or till Jesus comes back for judgment.
God will bring anyone into heaven aslong as you've become born again thats the best news for everyone its more then a belief that gets people to heaven it must be a forgiveness if sin and if not he'll awaits because they havnt been cleased from sin God won't allow people with dirty shoes step in his home but the thing is he is willing to wash their feet but people won't let em.
@@CJBlake-ym6ky you're overlooking the one of the main points in all of this. We are ALL sinners, we ALL commit sins that keep us out of heaven. You are getting into heaven by repenting of your sins and putting your faith is Christ. So yes, even if you've done horrible things you can still get into heaven, on that same note... If you deny God he won't force you to be with him. It's YOU choosing hell. I agree though that it is rather repugnant to wish someone would go to hell 🤷
@@CJBlake-ym6ky If you do not wish to be with God, then God will honor your request and separate you from Him. Hell is not torture, but rather torment. Regret in your decision. If I'm going to describe something that you should avoid 100%, I'm going to use the most colorful words to show you how bad said thing is. Hell, separation from God, is that bad. It is like burning for eternity. It is like being pained with grief for eternity. As for your point of murderers in Heaven, I struggled with this too. But, if you believe in Christ, then you love His Father in Heaven, and if you love your Father, then you honor His commandments. A murderer who believes in Christ is a contradiction.
I truly don't know how you deal with these people.
Jesus promised to show himself to those who obey him. He does! I literally see his omnipresent bearded face highlight his eyes, nose, mouth and beard.
John 14:21 "Whoever has my commands and obeys them is the one who loves me. My father will love them; I too will love them and SHOW myself to them."

She's asking great, piercing questions and Cliffe's ignoring/sidestepping them almost every time. Christians see that, right? One of his responses implies he _does_ believe a conscience is only possible through religion, and he starts with "no", but then he calls consciences 'one of his pieces of evidence for the existence of god', which again very strongly implies his answer is "yes" that he thinks a conscience could only exist with a god. As short at the video was up until that point (what I described finishes up at like 1:46), he'd already done that sort of sidestepping and evasive answering 2 other times (with the conscience answer being the 3rd time).

Our human perceptions are limited!
In fact, unless we have already been on a true spiritual path, seeking the Reality of THAT which gave form and consciousness to all creation, we will be bound down by the Ego (the guardian of individuality).
EGO (the guardian of individuality) sorely limits the width of our human perceptions and vision, since it forces our consciousness to focus exclusively on our own happiness and survival.
It is only when the soul of a person first sends out a message to its human consciousness that there is more to life than "the self," that the individual begins to want to discover more about life and about the Origins of life.
As the consciousness of the human mind is gradually woken up from its long subordination to the Ego (the guardian of individuality), so does one begin to question much that lies beyond their present knowledge. At the beginning of one's quest for greater knowledge of the unknown, they will probably be drawn to a religion, since it would seem, humanly speaking, that a religion must hold within their wisdom and teachings, the secrets of the Source of Life.
This subservience to Religious human domination, claiming to know the secrets of the universe, is a good kindergarten for the opening consciousness of immature minds.

It is interesting people say they do not believe in the supernatural, yet they believe in laws of nature without a law giver, life came from non life, that order and design came about by chance, that tells me they do believe in the supernatural they just reject God. Boy that takes a great deal of blind faith.

I don't believe "life came from non life" .. that question is beyond my scope of knowledge.
@bonnie43uk no I don't think so, faith is faith everyone has faith, faith is based on evidence. We have faith that gravity will still work tomorrow same as to day. As I look at science and the universe I clearly see a mind at work, that takes faith, but I do not except those who look at order design, natural, and morality and say there is no god, that is blind faith. Is it really beyond your knowledge or do you suppress the knowledge? It seems like all those who preach about moral relativism actually never practice it
@ 14:55 black guy was like … 🤷♂️
You did not have an answer to pure relativism, a defiance of consistency. I haven't generally heard apologists address it at all, even though it's endemic today. You've had 20 years to approach it since, so you must have some thoughts, but please reach out to me if you are still struggling with it.
"You did not have an answer to pure relativism"
Would you define "pure relativism"? Because Relativism has been answered several times, the shorthand is everything is meaningless if everything is relative. When it’s said there’s evil in the world, it’s logically assumed moral good exists which logically assumes a moral law to differentiate good & evil, which logically assumes a moral law giver (the triune God); no moral law giver? => no moral law => no good => no evil =>no actual morality
I pray the only triune God of the:
1)supernaturally prophetic fulfilled in reality (Romans 1:26-32/2 Timothy 4:3/Matthew 24:6/1 Corinthians 1:18)
2)historically verified (archaeologically & anthropologically by Christians & non-Christians w/enemy/early/multiple attestation, internal consistency, embarrassing reports, etc.)
3)transcendentally/objectively moral (Exodus 20/Matthew 22:37-40) Holy Bible reveals Himself to you in Spirit & objective truth (John 16:13).
May the triune, infallible, omniscient God bless you with faith in Him, not fallible man’s limited knowledge of theories.
@@robmc120 You can't answer relativism with arguments. An angry child like the one in this video will just retreat behind "words don't mean anything" and stomp away.

"Moral laws" are agreed upon not dictated by a "moral law giver" 🤭 Morality is the cognitive process of differentiating between human intentions, decisions, and actions that are appropriate from those inappropriate. The recognition and evaluation of the consequences our choices have with regards to ourselves and others. My NOT believing in a mythological god in no way impedes the ability of forming such moral assessments.
We are self aware conscious pain and emotion feeling individuals capable of love or hate, incredible acts of altruism or depravity. It's how we navigate through life and these potential extremes that define us, not our belief ( or lack of ) in your specific subjective invisible friend.
@@trumpbellend6717 "Morality is the cognitive process of differentiating between human intentions, decisions, and actions that are appropriate from those inappropriate."
Sounds like an objective claim to reality, logically you need an objective foundation to make said claim, so what is it? Your subjective observation? Have you ever made a mistake? So your fallible, how do you KNOW your not wrong now?
@@trumpbellend6717 "We are self aware conscious pain and emotion feeling individuals capable of love or hate, incredible acts of altruism or depravity."
Youre assuming humans have value, when your godless worldview borne of change/chaos/nothing gives you nothing of the sort. You have to borrow from Christianity for human value while inconsistently defending your wv that gives you nothing, no objective foundation for the truth of your claims.
Christianity is a religion, Evangelicalism is a religion, Catholicism is a religion...... Insert your favorite denomination here. All of it is a religion full of fans of religion and some but few true children of Jehovah God that enjoy a day in - day out relationship with Christ to the Father! When that guy claimed a miracle was a denial of natural laws Cliff should of said if God reached into creation and changed a law it’s just like me dropping this paper and reaching out and grabbing it altering the natural law of gravity.
Equivocation fallacy
You are equivocating working within the laws of physics ( grabbing the paper ) to God changing the laws of physics ( the paper not subjective to the laws of physics )
You’re not “altering the law of gravity” by grabbing the paper. You’re actually using gravity as it is to grab the paper
@@jasonnoble7302 False distinction fallacy
You are taking a hyper literal autistic interpretation of his comment and ignoring the essence of the analogy; which is that God suspending his own natural laws is as logically possible as us preventing gravity from pulling paper to the ground.
@@dited358
What’s the definition for “ hyper literal autistic interpretation “ and what is the source for it ?
God and man / creature and creator
Do you have access to How God suspends the laws of physics like you have access to how man grabs a falling paper ?
If not you’re equivocating working within with working without
How do you know God has a possibility to suspend the laws of physics in this world ?
@@jasonnoble7302 no you completely missed the point. 10/10 if the natural law of gravity is left alone an object will fall to the ground but if someone decides to enter in to the natural interaction between the object and gravity they can alter or change the outcome of what naturally happens.

Dude, Cliffe STOP Touching People without their permission.
Lol stop trying to argue for someone else.
Of course the doubt as to whether Jesus really existed is unfounded and not worth refutation. No sane person can doubt that Jesus stands as founder behind the historical movement whose first distinct stage is represented by the oldest Palestinian community. (Rudolf Bultmann, Jesus and the Word (London: Collins/Fontana, 1958), p. 13.
To doubt the historical existence of Jesus at all … was reserved for an unrestrained, tendentious criticism of modern times into which it is not worthwhile to enter here. (Günther Bornkamm, Jesus of Nazareth, Translated by I. and F. McLuskey with J. M. Robinson (New York, NY: Harper and Row, 1960), p. 28.
I am of the opinion (and it is an opinion shared by every serious historian) that the theory [“that Jesus never lived, that he was a purely mythical figure”] is historically untenable. (Willi Marxsen, The Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth (Philadelphia, PA: Fortress, 1970), p. 119.
To sum up, modern critical methods fail to support the Christ-myth theory. It has “again and again been answered and annihilated by first-rank scholars.” In recent years “no serious scholar has ventured to postulate the non-historicity of Jesus”-or at any rate very few, and they have not succeeded in disposing of the much stronger, indeed very abundant, evidence to the contrary. (Michael Grant, Jesus: An Historian’s Review of the Gospels (New York, NY: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1977), p. 200.
Contemporary New Testament scholars have typically viewed their [i.e., Jesus mythers] arguments as so weak or bizarre that they relegate them to footnotes, or often ignore them completely. (Robert Van Voorst, Jesus Outside the New Testament: An Introduction to the Ancient Evidence (Grand Rapids, MI: Eerdmans, 2000), p. 16
The total evidence is so overpowering, so absolute that only the shallowest of intellects would dare to deny Jesus’ existence. (Paul L. Maier, “Did Jesus Really Exist?”
Conversely there is no evidence that the wandering Jewish rabi actually was the son of God and rise from the dead
@@trumpbellend6717 "Conversely there is no evidence that the wandering Jewish rabi actually was the son of God"
You mean other than His public declaration of such, fulfillment of 300+ prophecies & performance of miracles? You can ignore the evidence as you wish to your own detriment, but to say "NO evidence" is a bold face lie, BLATANT trolling.
Jesus = God
Jesus explicitly claims to be THE “I AM” (John 8:24 & 58) by quoting Exodus 3:14 in the Septuagint translation (Ego Eimi is “I AM” in the Greek Old Testament) and applying that divine title to Himself twice. If He was not claiming to be the same eternal God that spoke to Moses from the burning bush, there would be no reason for the Jews to say “you make yourself out to be God.” And try to stone Him. They knew exactly the claim He was making about Himself in both those passages.
Revelation 1:8 - “I am the ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Just to name a few....
Which Jesus 🤷♂️
The bible one or the historical one ?
The bible one can easily be debunked
1999: It'll be a very sad day... if I can say "I'm a follower of Christ" and then go out and womanize... Very clearly Christ commands his followers not to commit sexual immorality.
2024: Progressive Christian views on what "Jesus says" about sex and gender 🤦
I just love how people think their smarter than the bible (the words of Our Lord Jesus). (I really don't love it, I loathe it). More than likely, they haven't read the KJB. God bless Cliffe and Stuart and your ministry. Read John 3:16 in the KJB. There are many passages like this in the KJB. Take Jesus as your savior soon, as you do not know when your time is up and you'll be missing out of living in heaven with our Father, Jesus than to burn in hell for eternity in fire and brimstone! Read the Revelation in the KJB. With 🙏's and love.
How is the bible smarter than people ?
You haven't read the bible properly either - both OT and NT. If you had, you'd become an atheist....or at least a non-Christian
What do you expect from a Serb
Teletubi guy is so disingenuous
It's hard to deny evil supernatural power when you dig into history. Something caused the Nazis to unite... their love of occult/mystic practices.
Rather ironically for your argument, Hitler was a self identified CHRISTIAN who repeatedly said that he was "doing the lords work" Now regardless of whether this was really the case or if he was just saying it to facilitate the weaponization of the 93% of the German population that were CHRISTIANS it certainly worked.
Even though both the Jewish and the Christians hold the OT in common and it is only the belief in in regards to Jesus being the messiah that differentiates them. This difference in theology regarding the rejection and killing of jesus was used by CHRISTIAN Germans as justification for the slaughtering of 6 million. Did their subjective opinion justify the holocaust and somehow make it moral ??? I think not ...
Why was his antisemitism and bigotry so readily accepted by the German Christians who adored him? The only thing that separated those being slaughtered from those doing the slaughtering was one groups ancestors rejected jesus as the Messiah. I will let you guess which group was which. 😜
The Ashkenazi Jewish people had been a part of that German community for well over a thousand years it was only their religion that differentiated them. They played a large part in all social aspects of art, commerce, education, science, politics, ect. Many had fought and died to protect fellow Germans, won Nobel prizes and even written the Weimar constitution.
Regardless every few hundred years the Christian majority would engage various forms of persecution in attempts to destroy them. They were blamed for any ill that befell the German society. The first Crusaders slaughtered over 12,000 in the Rhenish cities alone between May and July 1096
In the 13,00's they were blamed for the inroads of the Mongols ( even though they suffered equally at their hands as the Christians ) so once again the Christians massacred them. They were blamed for "poisoning wells" that Christians claimed caused the plague, the list goes on and on. 🤢🤮
Each time they as part of this "retribution" they were given the option to convert to Catholicism, be expelled or face death. The only thing that determined their fate was their religion. Become Catholic and it was all good and they were left alone in all these pogroms. 😜
