This is why I like your channel====== A banjo picking dozer driver= Diesel the dog== Attacking a yellow jacket nest with an excavator==== great jobs and especially the Scripture reading and explanation.
I seem to run into at least 10 nests per year. Usually around august in the hottest part of the summer. When doing landscaping/ weeding or mowing. What I normally do is when I find the hole in the ground I just wait until after dark so they are all back in the nest and dump a pop bottle full of gasoline into the hole. Then when I come back the next day I don’t have any problems with them anymore.
Right, yes those things are mean too. I was building a road last year and stepped out of the dozer, not seeing the nest I hit, and got popped just under my eye and legs. Gas will certainly do the trick...😁
I thought about standing it up! 🤔 Then I thought I better not. That would be a trip to the hospital, for real. I wish I had a way to show how they covered that go pro. It was a wad of yellow. And they were MAD!!! Thanks, Sam
@@tristardiggin Yes Sir !! I ran over some and got hit 7 times before I could get away . I left the equipment and returned the next day, Sore as all get out I was !!
Yep, been there done that and felt the pain. So, every chance I get in a cab machine I destroy those suckers. Building a pad right now and found one here. I put the 304 to it too...😁 Thanks, Sam
20 oz bottle of gasoline and a grill lighter if my go to move on them things. If a man was as mean for his size as a yellow jacket is for his size, couldn't nobody ever whoop him.
Ran over some with lawn mower once and got stung about 3 times when I was a kid. I also hit some bushogging probably 10 yrs ago and some how they didn't get me. I was going pretty fast, maybe 4-5mph on open tractor when I went over nest, I seen a big cloud of them behind the tractor. I didn't slack up, and I didn't finish cutting that area either 😂
Yep, those suckers will fire you up for sure! Seems like if you get out of the nest area quick they don't get you. Been stung several times too on a tractor and mower... Thanks , Sam
Doing a clearing job got into a huge nest of them. Had the can open and about 20 made it in the cab before I could close it up. They lit me up! Thankfully when I got in a bald face hornets nest the cab was closed or that would have been a terrible day. Awesome video. They were going after that camera. 🤣
Thanks. Yeah buddy those things will fire you up for sure. After this video I have been in several other as well. Was building a road and hit one but didn't know it. I stepped out of the dozer and got nailed in the eye and ankle. Jumped off the dozer and ran. Dozer was running so I had to run back through them and get back in the dozer. Paid the stupid tax on that deal...
I have been nailed a few times already this summer on an open station tractor - the last one from a hornet. That was enough motivation to get the AC replaced in the 4640 that is used with the HX15 flex wing. That was A LOT of yellow jackets. I cringed just thinking about how painful it would be at the location of the camera.🤕
You are not kidding and they were mad. It looked like a honey bee swarm on that camera. Doing a dozer job the other day and one got me just under my eye and ankle. So, I mash them every chance I get. I can see how that would motivate you to get the A/C fixed😁
Great Job 👍 Sammy. Take care Brother 🙂
Thanks Jon, I appreciate it...

Craig that is very true. Those things wanted to get me for sure.
Thanks,
Sam

Wow I’m super impressed by your camera handling skills using only the CAT
Thanks, that was an interesting video to record. If those yellow jackets had gotten in the cab it would have turned even more interesting. 😁
WHAT ?? I can’t believe you didn’t jump out and stand that Camera back up 😂😂
Those Little Dudes are mean ! Been there done that ! Lol

Right, and the sting itches worse than any other sting! 🤪😁
That keeps it exciting! I mowed over an old stump before with the brush hog and bees came out everywhere. That was a rough day lol

😃 Hadn't thought of that but he sure would be a tough feller to whoop.
The things you do for our entertainment! Haha
😳 yeah, that is well said! Who knows what is next!!!
Team 304 all the way. Good job on the eviction. Nice job on the controls Sam. Have a great day.

Usually don't worry about them here in Alabama till late fall. They can sure ruin your day on a open cab machine.
Yes Sir, and in a real fast hurry!!!
Thanks,
Sam
