    I have an ‘07 M109R (M1800 Intruder over here) in the classic black and chrome. Awesome, probably the only bike I’ll ever need, so I’ll never sell it, and this gives me some great ideas for.a facelift.

    Those "stock look" chromed wheels look better than any other custom wheels available,I've already posted a comment buddy, but just bought my second 109 and absolutely love yours. Again,great job and great taste in building YOUR bike.

    @11Armen112
    Hi my friend.
    The bike is a little more tricky to ride when your turning, but you'll get use to it right away. Unless you like to ride on roads that have a lot of turns. Then you will notice that you will have to push and pull more on the handlebars to get the bike to lean over more. This type of setup with these tires is more for someone who likes the look, cruise and ride on straight roads most o the time. If this is you, then, you'll love it. I hope this helps you out.

    @plonker00765
    Thank you forthe compliment brother. I too, come from sport bikes and this is my first cruiser. It was kinda tuff getting used to the clunking sound ofthe gear box for me too, but after 4 years, I'm good with it now. The bike is very comfortable with the bars pulled back 2". Your more in a laid back position. Take care and thanks!

  • @BlackDiamondM109R300
    @BlackDiamondM109R300  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the compliment buddy. A 300 tire does need some work. You need to buy a 10" rim, buy a aftermarket swingarm and the inner rear fender will need some work so the tire won't rub. A 280 fits perfect. All you need is a 10" rim and your good to go.. Good luck with your decision.. Frank..

      Thank you for the compliment. It’s a 2006. First year Suzuki came out with this bike. 90% of the parts I got from www.directlineparts.con. Some from Kuryakan and the rest were just custome made.
      Good luck with your build. Hope it comes out just the way you want. These bikes are a lot of fun and great attention getters. 👍🏽😎

    Thanks bro!! I've seen a M109R like the one your going to customize. I think the rear fender is called the Sumo rear fender. That looks real nice with a 280 or 300 rear tire set up. Good luck with it and post of video when your done.

    That's funny bro, I almost bought the warrior myself before the 109 came out. I was also thinking about the HD Vrod. The sales man said, if you wait a few more months, Suzuki is coming out with an awesome cruiser. So I waited and boy was it worth it...

    To get the 300 rear tire to fit properly and safely, you will need the Custome swing arm and a 10" rear wheel. You can purchase both items at Directlineparts.com.

    I almost bought a 109...I'm about 99.9% sure it's my next bike. I'm currently torn between that and a Ducati Streetfighter.
    When I rode the R I fell in love...so much power.
    I ride a Yamaha Warrior now, and it's a great bike, but there will always be room in my garage for an R....
    Great job on the bike man, looks really great.

    very tasty,i had one of these but went back to a sports bike,three things i hated about my 109 were the gearbox,changing gears was tractor like,the drag bars,always leaning forward slightly too much,lastly ,the headlight cowling,they look much better with a normal chromed headlight,i must say your bike looks very cool,the changes you have made alter the bike quite dramatically,in a good way,a nice headlight would almost make me jealous of your bike,love the tyres.

  • @BlackDiamondM109R300
    @BlackDiamondM109R300  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well the swingarm will run u around $1,000-$1,300 depending on if you want chrome or black. Then you will need to buy a 10" rim and that can run you between $1,500 to $1,800 depending on the wheel and maker. Then treres the tire 300 tire that can run you around $250- $325 and last but not least is the instal. I don't remember how much my Machanic charged me to instal it cause it was 4 years ago. Best advice I say would be to just shop around. Good luck with it bro and be ready to get a hell

    G'day BlackDiamond. As you know from the thread on the M109R forum, we are currently working on creating trailer towing hitches of 2 different widths for the M109R. One will be for those running up to the 260 or 250 tyre width....and a second, wider one to fit those running the 300 rear, like yourself.

    @BlackDiamondM109R300  13 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I had the 280 w/ the 10" rim before I went to the 300 and it does look a bit bigger I person, but it will come at a hefty little price. I used to pull up at places where many bikes gathered and It was nice to be able to tell them, yeah, that's a 300. Lol.. Glad you liked the bike bro. :)

  • @BlackDiamondM109R300
    @BlackDiamondM109R300  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The performance will change quite a bit, especially when you make those slow turns. You will find yourself having to lean into it just a bit more otherwise the bike will feel like it just wants to go straight.

    @BlackDiamondM109R300  13 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have no idea. I just enjoy the ride. If your asking a comparison to being stock, it did feel slightly heavier, but then again it could be cause of the 300 tire in the rear that makes it a little more tricky to turn and get off the side stand.

    How do you like the ride? The motorcycle I have right now is very much a cruiser - Comfortable, stable at speed, and VERY torque-y. How does the M109R fare on long-distance trips, and does it have bat-shit insane torque like I'd expect from an 1800 V-Twin?

      Pat A. French A 10" rim will fit no mods, but a 300 tire requires an aftermarket swingarm, or to notch the factory swingarm. Lots of grinding has to take place up in ther fender area too. I run a 280 on mine and I'll I had to do was get a 10" rim.

    You front wheel needs to be 17” tall and 6 1/4” wide to fit perfectly under the front fender flush. You can probably do a 6” wide wheel and it will fit as well, it will just show more gap between the wheel and the fender.

    • @BlackDiamondM109R300
      @BlackDiamondM109R300  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey brotha, congrats on your kit. Not sure what swing arm you bought, but I never had any rubbing issues with mine. I mean, mine barley cleared the swing arm too. You barely squeeze a dime on each side. Can’t really think of what you can do. If it’s barley rubbing, maybe you can file down a little on the swing arm where it’s rubbing, but not sure how thick your swing arm is. I wouldn’t want you to lose the strength on the swing arm. Did you get the same swing arm like mine? If you did, it should have fit perfectly barely clearing.

    Really curious how much the overall price of all parts together it would be for the 300 tire kit on this bike.. I might be buying the bike and would love to do the same thing.. Thanks

      The turning and leaning the bike over is a little more challenging with that wider tire

    Your Suzi is nicely done, decent not overloaded, like others you see here on youTube, they spend more money and it looks horror full. One question the 300 tire fits on the OM rims. It Will be nice when you give some links where you get all this stuff, I checked on the internet, but these things are not useful and nice.

      Thank you for the compliment buddy. Yeah, I was trying to keep the mods on this bike mild, not to overly done up. I tried to keep it looking as original as possible with just a few upgrades that I thought would make this bike look even better to me.
      As for the 300 tire on a stock Raheem, it won’t fit. I believe the widest you can go is a 280 tire on that stock wheel.
      Most of my parts I got them from a place called, Directlineparts.com. They have a lot of aftermarket parts that you will like and that will drain your pocket book fast. Lol. Hope this helps. Have fun on your mods. 👍🏽😊

    Just wondering if, once we have them finished, you would do us the service of receiving one and ensuring that it fits and clears everything properly on your bike. * You are one of the only guys around I know running the 300 rear, who has shown any interest, or given us any feedback about the new M109R Custom trailer we are in the process of creating. Anyway BlackDiamond, I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks, David (Brisbane, Australia)
