Why Film on a Bicycle
Traditional video makers tend to walk, which unless great care is taken, produces a bounce in the video footage. I find filming on a motorbike can be too fast, not allowing you to take in the scenery. The bicycle allows me to interact with people whilst providing smooth footage. If you find it is still too fast, then you can slow the video speed down to half speed, which will still be 30 frames per second.
Why doesn’t the footage look clear
Sometimes I make an error when shooting the video (but very rarely) The most common cause is that your internet connection on YT has set the resolution to below 4K, so check your settings.
Camera Equipment
Since starting the channel I have used my trusty DJI Osmo Pocket 2 (Creator combo)
The Combo comes with a Bluetooth microphone which has given great performance, even when riding at speed. I film at 4K & 60 frames per second, my light and ISO settings are on Auto. The Camera is strapped to my left wrist (so it might appear that I am close to things on the left). I control the Camera head via an application on my phone (Mimo), using my right hand Thumb. Action cameras to date, have smaller light sensors and are not competitive at present for low light filming.

Whilst its looking quiet in some people's eyes, many of the places I frequent look to have reasonable numbers so theres definitely still fun times to be had. 9 weeks to go and I'll be back so I'm quite happy to have it like this :) Cheers David

Great quality video. Really good detail. Triangle and Billabong on the quiet side which is always a good benchmark. That said, if you’re a first time visitor it’s still like arriving in Heaven. Plenty of options for everything.
I agree ,for a first timer it would be fun ,but for anyone who has been to Pattaya before it will be shocking for them to see how quiet it is.one in twenty bars are busy

Everytime you pass toon the vampire bar and even when i visit pattaya i have never seen a customer in this bar ,how can they stay open ,and its not the only bar you wonder ,how the f can they stay open

I was born in the Netherlands. People in Thailand mistake me sometimes with an indian and be rude to me.
When i show them my id and even talk in Dutch, they can't believe it is so. Wich made me wonder allot of people their do not know about The East India Company history, wich brought many contract laberourers to Suriname (India people, Javanese, Chinese etc.)
It is so said that allot of Thai do not know that this happened.

Lol if you think that's bad, imagine how I felt when I was there ! 😅 Certain girls I ended up hardly having chemistry with whilst other guys got more action .. or maybe I was doing something wrong. Otherwise, sometimes it's just better being alone.

Yes David you’re right about the Indian fella, I actually just learned that as well. I work in Kuwait there’s a big Indian population here. The holding hands and embracing of each is totally normal in their community and in the Muslim community also. As a Westerner amongst first seeing it I thought it was weird but I’m sure I do things they consider out the norm as well. Just takes as open mind and willingness to learn and ask questions. Great video as always. Can’t wait to I’m back in Thailand!!!!

Nothing wrong with visiting Thailand, but retiring there would be a different story.
I'm in my 30s & just visited Pattaya in Nov, next time I visit will be for longer to see if I could retire there myself 😅 But to be honest, I really don't think I'll ever leave the UK or be able to afford to. I don't think I'll have some "grand" pension either. I honestly don't know how most people do it.
@@jmedz893 It's more expensive in the UK. Living in another country long term is not for everyone. What usually happens is people will stay a few years and return to their own country at some point.
@@jmedz893 30 is too young to retire unless you had near on a million quid. 30 is also the ago to put effort into work and make investments. You can’t really work and easier to earn a living at home active or passive.
@@MK-ft3qt Exactly, I think eventually people do come back because at the end of the day, people will always be where their from. Ultimately, despite how expensive & tumultuous the UK seems, it's too much of a safety net to get away from. Imagine having to pay your own hospital bill when we have the NHS. Only way I see living abroad successfully is if you have sh*tloads of savings or income or some type of business (which I don't have the brains for) but then again you will never be accepted as a Thai. It does eventually come to an end.
@@jmedz893 I believe you have to put 5K to 10k in a Thailand bank if you're going to stay long term like a retirement visa. You need at least 2K U.S. per month to live okay there and the 5K/10K for medical situations or to have money to return to your country if things don't work out.

Hey David I don’t know about your power bill but I was in shock the rate 4.78 per unit is out of control I thought it was suppose to be locked in at 4.18
We are on condo supply at 4.5 baht, which I thought was just below official rate after tax is added (to official rate) some in our condo are on PEA meters are pay slightly more than condo. Actual rate depends of the FT charge 🙏🙏

I went into High Rollers 6 weeks ago .The place is amazing and a really good quality build but there isn't any women in the place.The place was dead ,except for a guy playing a guitar and singing a few songs.Soi Pothole was very disappointing.
They have recently recruited a large number of ladies.
Soi pothole is not a good street to travel on after a rain.

Was in Las Vegas last week and it’s a fantastic set up great AC , reasonably priced drinks and great band. Only complaint was the seats are awful even with the cushion they are hard and uncomfortable my arse was numb after 20 minutes.
Agree. It’s a really good set up with good air con, good band and good vibe. The stools are not the best for sure.
