After owning an Escalade and a Raptor. Both of which I bought new, and Both lived in the shop. Just issues after issue.. And both had less than 20k miles on them. I bought the lx570. Yeah the infotainment system sucks. But the reliability, lexus service and resale are more important to me now.
Someone may have pointed this out by now since 2 years have passed but there is no air suspension on the LX570. It's a hydraulic system which, to many, is superior to air suspension. Great review!
How big is your family? I have a family of 5, plus a dog. Considering getting one for my family. Not a big fan of GM and Ford due to reliability issues. Just wondering if it would be enough room for all of us. I like the new sequoia but they screwed up on the third row and rear cargo space!
This has less space than the new Sequoia. For a family of five (with a pup!), your best bet will be a loaded Lexus TX. You get more space in the TX than either the old or current LX and the current Sequoia. We just got back from Disney in the 2024 Sequoia, and in the review we both say there's NO WAY a family of five could have fit in this thing. (We LOVE it though and very well might buy one.) I should have the new TX within the next month or two, so stay tuned, but if you want Lexus quality with more space than any other Lexus model, the TX is the one for you.
Great Review JAX of the LX570. To bad about the lack of Tech. Nowadays If I’m spending 100 Grand I better have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto unless I’m buying 100 Grand of 100Grand bars. 😆 However the 2021 LX570 will likely still be rolling years after we all but forgot about ACP and AA in cars.
The only thing this thing has going for it is resale value. In a decade or so all of it’s direct competition will have outdated infotainment systems as well. Makes the investment value a bit more palatable.
That's a good point, from a potential buyer perspective, but it only works if sales volumes stay relatively low. I'd imagine Lexus (and Toyota) would like to enjoy some of the massive profits full sized SUVs bring in, but to do so, they'll need to completely overhaul their SUV lineups at the top end: Sequoia, GX, and LX are based on ancient bones serving a tiny market. If they modernize the Sequoia (and move the GX to that architecture instead of the LC Prado), they could keep the LX as a boutique offering.
Depends on priorities. If you actually might go hard core off-roading, maybe. But honestly, I'd take a Yukon Denali and pocket the difference in price. Not to mention, the Denali rides better and has much more modern technology and infotainment.
The LX570 was rare on your trip Because it’s hideous and like you said it’s missing apple car play / android auto. I do agree it’s a high quality product but no one is looking at it and thinking its special.

That's a great point and the reason these things still sell the way they do. Plus, they're just kinda legendary 😉 Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻

Thanks so much! Welcome to the channel.
Best truck ever made 🙌
Many people agree!
It’s not air springs. It’s actually hydraulic suspension system.
Lexus = Reliable. Enough said
I mean, this is definitely true. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Thinking to buy the same vehicle or a Land Cruiser 2021
Not a bad choice at all.
But but but, just got a 21 Lx570 fresh off a lease. Low mileage, better price.
If needed, I can add apple CarPlay later
Not a bad plan!
Great review thanks 👍👌
Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
expensive for 100k but @ 85k is it a buy then over the GM?

Guys save your money get Honda 2015 pilot I can fit 8 people 4 kids 3 adults roof rack we went across Canada with 0 issues and save on gas
I mean... You're not wrong
People buy the LX570 because it's a LEXUS
Facts
This will drivecthe same at 50k 100k 150k and 200k the gm, ford and other brands will be dead or rattling apart.
If you need tech and driving assistance, you don't belong behind the wheel on tbe road.... you're putting others at risk...
That’s the most “ok boomer” hot take I’ve heard in a while…
Can't trust a guy that loves Disney
Whoa now! How could you?!
