Great question. Ideally you would move up the neck and do a similar thing, either in completely new positions, like the 5th, or overlap your positions and start at the 3rd, or even the first fret. As long as you're playing across the natural notes, and speaking their names out loud, you'll benefit from either of these approaches. Hope that helps!

Question: Is the exercise only done at the 1st position or do you work up the fret board once you get 1st into your fingers.
