It said that these were carriage horses in Ohio that for whatever reason was turned loose in a pasture and left for a year. That makes me think that they belonged to an Amish family. What confuses me though is that I thought Amish families cared more for their animals.
@@amandakelley1665 Nope, they are the biggest owners of puppy mills, they also rarely have vets check their horses and are know to abuse them, not all of course, but among the vet community they are well known for the lack of care. They need the money and make money off of puppies. They can't live their lifestyle like they use to, it is way too expensive for them.

We are an animal sanctuary, and one day we got a call about a couple who was moving and couldn't take their mustang with them. We went to see the horse and although the couple meant no harm and wanted to take the best care of the horse, he was skinny and underweight, you could see his ribs. We got him home as soon as possible, dewormed him, and floated his teeth, as we soon realized that he had horrible teeth and was much older than we were told, so he couldn't really keep down any hay. Well it's been a year and I am proud to say he is healthy, happy, and a loving, sweet horse who just wants love, and to watch his transformation was incredible.
Just recused a husky that was in the shelter that no one wanted cause she already had babies at 2 years old and didn't look the best but her winter coat just came in Nd she looks amazing! One of the best dogs I've ever had and I've had 10 lol
Yes they are! I ride at a barn that is non-prophet and only takes rescue horses! They are the absolute best horses and are always so sweet and have the biggest personalities! Right now I am riding a horse named Nibbles. If I ever get a horse I will get a rescue.
My mom saved 8 dogs since she lost her dog Angel and 2 of them were being put down. Samuel, he’s the scruffiest thing. He’s so friendly, he’ll follow you everywhere. When that random object comes though, he’ll mark it. He marks everything 😅. He had a leg that had been run over, and the shelter wrapped it in cardboard and said “if he doesn’t heal in a week, we’ll put him down (yes, the kind that euthanizes them). So my mom drove up and saved him :D! The other one is named Marie. She was at “a lab rescue” her previous owners let their dog sit on her, and she’s paralyzed to this day. They were going to put her down when they didn’t even take care of her!! She had a blatter infection, and she was terrified for a while 😓 but now all of our rescues are so happy! P.S: she rescued a bunch of dogs because she felt bad for them. She was fostering them, but fell in love. She calls herself the “Fail Foster”

And for anyone who dislikes these kinds of videos, and the people who'd do that to an animal, they no longer have an opinion, and should be never be able to have access to animals. These creatures never did anyone harm, and should never have been treated the way that they have been.
How cruel to mistreat any innocent animal on our planet. Great to see the results of human knowledge and kindness and how the horses improved in every way due to care and love. Love is the greatest thing. Wish all humans would learn this simple fact though. Congrats on giving horses a new and loving home. They do so deserve it.

These beautiful horses (now) look so wonderful and stunning!! When found I started to weep. I totally agree how peoplel can treat horses that have helped them in their business. Dumped them!! Glad the horses were found. They're now living the life they should've had in the beginning. Thank you so much for rescuing these sweet boys!!!!! Although I’m not really mature or ready enough to care for rescue animals (money wise,mentally and I don’t have the knowledge/equipment to do it) I’ve always wanted to help these animals,but I am so SO glad there’s people who are willing to take the uncared for and the unloved and turn their life around,it really does give me some type of hope that one day,we don’t have to worry about both animal AND human neglect/abuse/trauma/etc.,etc. and it really starts with these loving people!
Why oh why did it take a full year before anyone reported their condition to animal control? We need to keep a serious watch out for those more vulnerable than us. Love that they were saved💞💖💞
Well, I think that no one noticed them until they started looking horrible. If you saw 2 horses in a field and they looked OK, you wouldn't know anything was wrong. I wonder who owned the property though... No one checks on it?
Plus animal control can be kinda useless. For my state it even says on their website "we are currently unable to inforce our own laws. If there is a life or death situation concerning an animal contact your local pound" 🙄

So stir rescues animals are AMAZING. I have a sweet little black and white cat named Millie she is five and was found in a abandoned house in the wall of the building. She had a Mum and a sister and two brothers unfortunately the brothers died and the mum got out leaving Millie and her sister in the wall. They where found and where in foster care we adopted Millie and Omg she is the worlds best cat. We got her and she was so scared we couldn’t touch her for weeks! But after a while she really came out of her shell she is a very amazing cat she never in her whole five years of life has she bitten or scratched ANYONE. So I believe rescued animals are amazing and very grateful making them super kind animals just like the horses in that video! ❤️
There is no finer animal in this world than one that has been rescued. They know they've been given a 2nd chance and if you love them, they will return that love to you 10 fold. I know because I had a rescue horse, and he was the best horse anyone could have ever asked for.

These very loving people have taken these pain filled horses into they're very own hearts, saved their lives built them up from scratch again, given them true agape love in place of the heartless conditions cruelly placed on them by their abusive past owners ......But Thankfully These Love filled People Came In and helped the two horses out of their predicament, I think Our creator will look on this family who saved them with great favor!!! THANKYOU PEOPLE!!!
@fenrif i feel like I am explaining to a Kindergartner, but animals attack other animals only when threatened, out of hunger, or for self-defense. Or perhaps if they have gone insane. Humans, on the other hand, attack out of enjoyment and sports like hunting, or also for simply bc they feel powerful hurting a helpless living being

Yes its wonderful to adopt any rescued animal They know that and reward u with nothing but unconditional love It is so wonderful to see them so happy, n very rewarding. I know because I rescued to Walking horses that I didnt think I was going to b able to bring them through the winter. But I went to my old standby of steamed rolled oats when I first brought them home n really good quality hay . Then after a week on the oats they recieved calf mana with sweet feed n some mare n foal mixed n. They were healthy n beautiful when winter hit n came through just fine Thankyou for being their guardian angel. God bless you.

Aww💞 they are both brothers, how sweet. I am so glad these two horses have been rescued by last chance corral, they are the best, I was horrified when she said that they were like skaltons and their teeth were long they barely couldn't eat. I am so happy these two horses were found together, and both got nursed back to health💕.
The Amish are responsible for a lot of puppy mills where they do not usually take care of them. They stand, lie and sleep I. Rows of metal cages. They seem to see animals as just another farm tool meant as a cash crop. Upon learning how they treat their animals made me understand why their overworked children so often leave it all behind while in a rescue. The Amish cant know the same God I do. Our gratitude to the Rescue who saved these boys lives and thank you so much to the wonderful people who adopted these brothers where they live heavenly lives of love and happiness.
I met these two handsome fellas at Last Chance Corral. They were the sweetest horses despite their condition and everything they had been through. They came right up to the fence to see us. I’m so glad they got a second chance and are living their best lives.
What a great ending to a really sad story, some f... s... used and abused them for all their lives and made money from them and just dropped them like trash, I wish I could my hands on these people . Thank you for the great people who love and care for those two beautiful boys

I work for a carriage company in MI, doing mostly funerals. We have Percherons like these…& this legit breaks my heart!!! I can’t even believe what they look like.😭😭😭 Our Percherons are PETS to us, not disposable, discardable animals! We get them from the Amish, where they’ve been used as plow horses for years. They come to us not wanting to be petted, and they won’t take treats from us - they’ve never had treats or real affection. So damn sad. We work for months to get them to accept being pampered - crazy! We got one once with a n injury - a piece of a stick that had been embedded in his butt cheek for THREE years & had been weeping pus out of two spots for a looong time. We got him healed up & he’s the sweetest gelding ever. I adore him.🥰 When the man who owns the carriage company retires a horse, it goes to a sanctuary near to his farm. He checks up & keeps track of them. They’re never just discarded…possibly to end up in the slaughter pipeline.😱 Percherons are gentle giants…like big puppies, some of them…and I honestly can’t see how someone could treat them like this. Hurts my soul.😞 Edit to add: Carriage companies are NOT all like the one in this video, or other “abuse” videos people see. The companies we know in our area treat their horses very well. We’re all very connected, work together, & talk all the time, giving each other jobs when we’re already booked on that day. They’re all horse lovers, not abusers. We have several teams we can use, so our horses work only a couple days a week, and we limit them to going only 3 miles each trip. They aren’t overworked & are basically retired, compared to working for the Amish, plowing for hours on end, day after day, year after year. They usually gain some weight with us & love being free to run in the pastures, day after day. Nothing but love for our “huge ponies.”❤️

They both are so gorgeous and stunning...! For a horse lover who never has the opportunity to even look at a horse in real life, watching this things kinda... Breaks my heart appart. I'm 20 years old and I've always dreamt and wished for being able to see, pet and maybe mount a horse for just once in my life... They're way much more than a mount, they're way much more than a pet... They're real friends. They're lifes. I Hope for them and all the rest of the horses in this world the best life ever.

This is amazing, it is good to know that there is some people that know how to treat animals with love. I went to Nashville this summer and I saw carriage horses all around. It was and still is disappointing. It made me sad to see that they were and still are being used like that.
What we do in the past has a way of coming back full circle. Whoever did this will be looking for compassion and care. That's why when people say "aww that down and out person has no one to look out for them" and I say "you never know what that person did when they didn't need anyone." Not to sound cold, but there's some cruel and selfish people out there. Bless you and your husband for taking such good care of them.

I am so glad these two horses have been rescued by last chance corral, they are the best, I was horrified when she said that they were like skaltons and their teeth were long they barely couldn't eat. I am so happy these two horses were found together, and both got nursed back to health💕.

The Amish are responsible for a lot of puppy mills where they do not usually take care of them. They stand, lie and sleep I. Rows of metal cages. They seem to see animals as just another farm tool meant as a cash crop. Upon learning how they treat their animals made me understand why their overworked children so often leave it all behind while in a rescue. The Amish cant know the same God I do.
Our gratitude to the Rescue who saved these boys lives and thank you so much to the wonderful people who adopted these brothers where they live heavenly lives of love and happiness.

I met these two handsome fellas at Last Chance Corral. They were the sweetest horses despite their condition and everything they had been through. They came right up to the fence to see us. I’m so glad they got a second chance and are living their best lives.

I work for a carriage company in MI, doing mostly funerals. We have Percherons like these…& this legit breaks my heart!!! I can’t even believe what they look like.😭😭😭 Our Percherons are PETS to us, not disposable, discardable animals! We get them from the Amish, where they’ve been used as plow horses for years. They come to us not wanting to be petted, and they won’t take treats from us - they’ve never had treats or real affection. So damn sad. We work for months to get them to accept being pampered - crazy! We got one once with a n injury - a piece of a stick that had been embedded in his butt cheek for THREE years & had been weeping pus out of two spots for a looong time. We got him healed up & he’s the sweetest gelding ever. I adore him.🥰
When the man who owns the carriage company retires a horse, it goes to a sanctuary near to his farm. He checks up & keeps track of them. They’re never just discarded…possibly to end up in the slaughter pipeline.😱
Percherons are gentle giants…like big puppies, some of them…and I honestly can’t see how someone could treat them like this. Hurts my soul.😞
Edit to add: Carriage companies are NOT all like the one in this video, or other “abuse” videos people see. The companies we know in our area treat their horses very well. We’re all very connected, work together, & talk all the time, giving each other jobs when we’re already booked on that day. They’re all horse lovers, not abusers. We have several teams we can use, so our horses work only a couple days a week, and we limit them to going only 3 miles each trip. They aren’t overworked & are basically retired, compared to working for the Amish, plowing for hours on end, day after day, year after year. They usually gain some weight with us & love being free to run in the pastures, day after day. Nothing but love for our “huge ponies.”❤️

I wish that ppl would finally start seeing horses as equal two other animals this needs two stop horses are huge with huge hearts and they are such big sweet hearts my mares and stallions all love all animals and getting affection it breaks my heart two see ppl use abusive tacks and rodeos that have "wild horses" and escpisily auctions I can't wait till their are new laws made for horses they deserve two run free and be unharmed ❤️🐎

For a horse lover who never has the opportunity to even look at a horse in real life, watching this things kinda... Breaks my heart appart. I'm 20 years old and I've always dreamt and wished for being able to see, pet and maybe mount a horse for just once in my life... They're way much more than a mount, they're way much more than a pet... They're real friends. They're lifes.
I Hope for them and all the rest of the horses in this world the best life ever.

This is amazing, it is good to know that there is some people that know how to treat animals with love. I went to Nashville this summer and I saw carriage horses all around. It was and still is disappointing. It made me sad to see that they were and still are being used like that.

What we do in the past has a way of coming back full circle. Whoever did this will be looking for compassion and care. That's why when people say "aww that down and out person has no one to look out for them" and I say "you never know what that person did when they didn't need anyone."
