That looks awesome! You showed great can control!
Great mod! I’m doing all the exterior chrome bolts, handle, and casters. 👌
DUDE!!! That came out looking mint
Thanks man! I’m definitely happy with how it turned out.
I did the same but I also did inside of the drawers too
Good idea! Nice looking and super durable! 👍
Thanks! 👍
I’m glad you used a breathing apparatus . I’ve had friends that painted without proper breathing apparatus and they are no longer on this earth. Nice job.
Thank you, can’t wait to spray my box. Look great.
That looks good I think it would look good on a red tool cart
Sweet! I like the look let alone the presumed durability of the surface.
Yea I think it looks awesome and so far it still looks like new.
I don’t know how I came across this video as I never thought of doing this but I’m glad to have his knowledge. Thank you and you did a great job covering the steps and the finished product.
one you tuber to another great job
That turned out awesome.
Thanks! 🙏
I like the idea and your results. Might have to try that sometime. At first I thought you were going for a Dexter kill room!
It definitely looks like it. lol
Trust me, it is necessary. That stuff gets everywhere and it is awful to clean off. I knew this from a project I had done prior with it.
wow very cool i wanna do that to my work bench 😊
Just came across your channel
Great work dude
Thanks man!
i dont know how i ended up watching this video. i wasn’t looking for this but now i need it. that youtube algorithm is hittin 😂
Have to say looks amazing
Thanks!
Good Job 👍
Thank you
Great idea brother! I placed a sheet of padded drawer liner double sided taped down and It looks like crap! I think I'm going to try your method.
Can you post an update on how the surface is holding up? Cool video
Great job .if anyone makes a work surface with lid close are going to have to cut the locking bars down I have a video on how I changed locking bars on my general one series cart.

Awesome, I will check it out.
Came for the Harbor Freight Toolbox video, stayed for the Dakota R/T videos...lol.
0:30 I thought most people used it to hold a top box… I did. But i do have a separate 70” 14-drawer base that I built but used a piece of 3/4” mdf for a violence absorber.
Nice, might have been easier to remove the top and paint it outside. But I'm sure it was too cold back in January ;-P
Side note, i was going to put a 1/2" thick peace of wood on top but this might be a better idea. Or maybe still a peace of wood and cheap sheet metal WITH! bed liner, I'm sure that will take hammer blows and drilling through the work material while not slipping
Lid is riveted for anyone reading this. Doable yes, pain in de azz, also yes.
After 2 years, how has it held up?
Where did you get the workbench. Might have you do this for me in the new garage.

Out of curiosity, did this hold up for a solid year+? Wanting to do something similiar to my Husky box.
Ya know how I improved my HF cheapo cart? I put about 2grand worth of machining shit inside it. It rolls everything easily between the mill and the lathe.
@Vincenzo Davian definitely, I've been using Flixzone for months myself :)
@Vincenzo Davian definitely, I have been watching on Flixzone for since december myself :D
“ur gonna need a hard surface you cant do it with your hand”
Challenge Accepted!!
Where did u get the work bench ???
Hows it holding up?
Would you spray that inside the drawers?
I have thought about this. It would definitely make it very robust!
You should of put that raptor on the trim
That would have been a good idea. Might have to do that when I do my side tray.
Have you had any problems with the top on your cart lining up and shutting nice and tight?
Just in general or after coating with Raptor Liner? Either way, my cart has always closed up pretty well.
@@mitchellsgarage9366 in general. My lid is janky
@@richardburns9772 mine is definitely not water tight by any means. Have you compared yours to some of the floor models they have in the store? Maybe you got one that is warped of something.
Do you have a link for the cans you used ?
Absolutely! I just put a link to them in the video's description.
Did you tape off the hinges?
Yes
The top of my box is already scuffed to hell
First few
Perfect!
You need a lapel mic or a boom mic.
I’ll have to get one. Lapel probably since I’m always moving around.
adhesive promoter is generally used on plastics or something you cant sand. the lid was powdercoated so it shoulda been sanded if ya want the raptor liner to bite into the metal instead of laying on top.
Dr Fauci said it’s ok to wear any “mask” but that your wife should wear hers to protect you while you use solvents ... no need for that expensive respirator!! Otherwise great video thanks!!
