  • 6th June 2023. Starting at the Bro Glyn car park on the A5, we started our 7mile walk with 787mts of ascent, up the track to the ‘’Lake with no name’’ then up through the old slat quarry and past the Quarry lake, then further upwards to Llyn y Foel, which was lacking in water. We made our way around to the Daear Ddu rather than cutting straight across as it can sometimes be marshy. Once we had crossed over the base of the Daear Ddu ridge, rather than making our way up the Daear Ddu ridge we took a different route this time and continued to circle and climb around the southern edge of Moel Siabod until we reached the easter ridge, and made our way up the final 100mts from there. We then followed the Moel Siabod ridge down until we rejoined the path we came up.
