🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Pen yr Ole Wen - The Most Underestimated Peak in SNOWDONIA?? ⛰️

Pen yr Ole Wen... is this the most underestimated peak of Snowdonia National Park here in North Wales? I would argue so. From the roadside this peak (which is the 7th highest in the park) looks fairly innocent. Llyn Ogwen lies below while Pen yr Ole Wen looks like a rather easy climb in the background. But, as I experienced, this wasn't exaxctly the case ⛰️💪🏼
I began from the most western point of Llyn Ogwen and clambered up the side of the peak. From the get go the hike was pretty tough and fairly unobvious in places.
This hike really surprised me in all sorts of ways, and all for the good. The thing I loved the most was the fact that I got to see my favourite peak (Tryfan) and other nearby peaks from a whole new perspective. Oh, and I got to hang out with some awesome sheep's 🐑🐑🐑
