Wishing this was a apart of the M Documentary plugin given the content is roughly the same but I understand why it’s not. It takes a lot of money to develop these products and that ROI is important. Great product

mNewPaper is really great, but i think to increase the potential it would be very good to use it together with mdocumentary. Because the style of both, supportes each other and the the overarching topic Of News, Press and Documentary Films gives a special spin to a project made with both of them.

Can i Use my own image, as text layer for the newspaper background ?
Sure, you can mix mStyle Newspaper elements with your own media to create a complex composition. Those three presets though don't allow to fully customize the page look, but you can comibine mutliple elements and add a movement as shown in the tutorial.

Thanks for this pack! Matt, I have a question at 5:15 where you unchecked the Prism Blur box to eliminate the reddish-chromatic aberration on the Drop Zone. I notice the Drop Zone also has added a diamond texture to the image, you can see it on the drop zone prior to adding the image. To me, that also doesn't match the newspaper paper background we chose to use. What Inspector control will eliminate that texture? That is an amazing number of effects within this pack that you demonstrated, not to mention your combining them into super effects. Thanks for this very complete tutorial on using mStyle Newspaper.

Hi, and thank you for this great piece of asset.
I bought it, and am already working on putting it into one of my projects.
However, there is a question: WHAT IS THAT "4K QUALITY" box? When ticked, it immediately screws up the aspect ratio of the clip I am trying it on, and there is no other visible difference whatsoever.
I'm quite puzzled, as I use to work in 2K timelines but render in 4K, so not using this function might mean I'm missing out something potentially useful.
Please clarify.

Hey there! This feature is explained here: th-cam.com/video/qY7Q5g-oaIo/w-d-xo.html - but to clarify: this switch just turns all the hd generators inside macros into 4k res with keepin their aspect. This saves some pefromance time, but if you want to make the 4k render, switch to 4k timeline before delivery and turn on those checkboxes, if you mix the preset/timeline/render resolutions some weird artifacts could happen as the 'dynamic' resize of Resolve doesn't work as well. tl:dr if you work on 4k timeline turn this on for better quality, on fullhd there's no much difference - hope that's help, sorry for such delay in answer - Bart from MotionVFX
@@bartmvfx Thank you good Sir :) There is hardly a thing I wouldn't know about aspect ratios, but watching a good clip never hurts!
What I was concerned about was that ticking the 4K box suddenly did something weird to the clip in the preview window but I had no time to check whether it was on 2K or 4K timeline; will do it later. I work in 2K timeline normally, switching into 4K just before rendering.
I noticed big difference in image quality (and no artefacts) when ticking 4K box when using KBHD pack.

that may happen on some effects that are using videos from timeline (like newspaper presets) as there's a conflict between effect resolution and footage resolution it gets from timeline. If you got any serious problems with setting that reach our support.
@@bartmvfx No big. I'm a good customer :) I never make noise where I can cope using some bells and whistles. Like, if part of my project (let me remind, I work in 2K but render in 4K) doesn't behave well in 2K resolution, I would open a sub-project in 4K or 6K, render it in mxf, use mxf in master project, and be happy with it. You guys do terrific job, and create terrific assets, I'd be the last one to bother you with minor complaints.
Having a difficult time utilizing the drop zone effect with a video as I'm just getting a black screen when I drop that overlay effect on it.
