I haven't seen this, but don't you think her sadness might have been connected to the him saying the bike was a part of the family when he wasn't connected enough to the family. It seems he chose the bike and life style over them. Am I wrong?

Having never seen the film, I interpreted her tears as sadness. The bike is an object, but she, and the baby, are real humans. And he's letting everyone know how much he adores...his bike
No she’s crying because he considers them all as a family. She has a boyfriend but still in love with Gosling’s character, who’s the father of the baby. But she’s conflicted over the whole thing because her boyfriend provides financial stability and Gosling’s character can’t

Yeah, he’s happy because he got to carry on his career. She essentially had to give up her career (which is was CRUCIAL for a female in her late 30’s/early 40’s). She’s now 50. That’s fine. If Ryan EVER leaves her or cheats on her, I will go CRAZY - she sacrificed so much.

She gets pregnant when he comes back around for the carnival fair next year he finds out about the baby. He wants to do right by her so he begins to robs Banks in the Schenectady New York area. Bradley Cooper is a Schenectady Cop… the two of their lives become intertwined. 🌲🌲🌲
