    it looks like the welded freewheel makes wheelies alot more consistent to control

      Just like anything the more practice you have the better you are, but! It made a world of difference with the snappiness of the throttle which makes balance point control much easier! Plus it gets rid of that annoying clanking sound and lets you use regen.

    I picked up a nice shock off of eBay for 50$ . IGN 280mm rear shock. It’s a gas coil shock. The body is black and spring is white. Take a look. It lift the back up 2in . I weigh 250 can it’s a nice ride. Thanks for the fork video. I’ll be doing mine over the winter. One other thing you should look at changing is the seat to a cafe racer seat. I don’t remember if I told you but you can see my setup on the LSE website under the testimonials.

      Good looking out i can definitely use a 2 in lift in the rear so i dont have that 2in of fork tube sticking out the top of the triple clamp. My girl was complaining its to small now compared to my mototec 😆 but no problem on the fork video glad i could help, id say order the parts you need as they come in stock in mototecs website since they are always out 🤘 i definitely wanna swap to a cafe racer seat ive just been so preoccupied with modding the mototec the rsf has been on the back burner. Eventually id like to build a 12bar for it and turn it into a mini stunt bike 😁 ill definitely check out your testimonial and see what your bike looks like 👌

      @@EmxBrandon if you look at the picture in LSE you can see a good amount of the shock. I tried 2 others . 1 cheaper and 1 more expensive. And they couldn't touch the one that I have one now.
      The speed you got out of your 48v set is impressive. With the 14 tooth sprocket I'm doing 43-45 mph. I live in Pa so I can't go up to 15 tooth because of all the hills and windy roads. Plus I'm alot older then you . I won't heal as fast as you. I just cruise around on my little bikes.

      I just checked it out and damn your bikes looking amazing man. It definitely looks tall. But yeah im kinda skeptical on the accuracy of that speedo even though it uses gos info from my phone. Ill have to do some more speed tests cause my mototec was only doing 37 with 12in rear but also had more weight to it i guess. But the gear ratio on both of them is something like 7 to 1 but im not complaining 😆

      @@EmxBrandon thanks man. I have a fork suspension upgrade kit . That lifted the front 2.5-3in . I also dropped the foot pads. I picked up some square tubing and mounted them up the old pads and moved them out 1in. Also just put hydraulic brakes on yesterday. Big improvement. Keep up the good work on the videos.

      Do you make the kit yourself? Ive seen that kurt minto guy makes a kit. I bet that extra leg room is nice. Mine could definitely benefit with a lift and dropped pegs, im sure my woman would love it too! And yeah 100% agree the hydros are a game changer especially going 40+ thanks my friend ill definitely keep trying to put out the best content i can 😁🤘

    I hear everyone talking about a wielded free wheel what is that exactly?

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  ปีที่แล้ว

      You ever ride a bmx bike? You know when you pedal it moves forward and when you stop pedaling you hear a clicking from the cassette and you back wheel moves freely and you pedals dont continue to spin. Same thing just with a motor instead of pedals. Hope that makes sense

    How does the mototec motor compare to the my1020.. It's definitely faster it seems. I'm curious if it has more torque as well. I'm running my mx650 on a vesc 100/250.

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the my1020 motors are build for alot more torque and the mototec motor is built more for higher rpm. So the my motors will always be torque monsters compared. I personally have never felt a my1020 motor with some good power, so i really couldnt tell you how much more but from what ive seen the my1020 motors make alot more. As far as speed the mototec motor was hitting a little over 40 with the stock razor gearing where the my1020 you have to go with a 15t front sprocket and sacrifice all the torque to get around 35-40 at the same or more power level. For me it was kinda a one off deal since i had the stuff laying around, but if you do aswell its definitely worth the fab work to mount it!

    What was the motor number used ?

  • @TURBOMOOSE
    @TURBOMOOSE ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That mototec is putting in work with the 48v setup. That's insane! Only downfall I've heard about the welded freewheel is the drain on battery. How's yours holding up to it? Idk if you do longer rides or not but I heard that's like the only takeaway from it 🤔

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly i dont think you would really be able to tell a difference. Your not really pulling amps when your off the throttle. I think its more giving the motor a break with the freewheel. Atleast i wouldnt be able to tell a difference, my mototec didnt come with a freewheel and ive only rode the rsf a handful of times. So it would be hard for me to say yes or no oon the range part. Either way id give up a tiny bit of range just for the way better throttle response and getting rid of that annoying clank the freewheel makes 😆

  • @adrenalinehoarder6246
    @adrenalinehoarder6246 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does the welded freewheel reduce the range you get? Do you ever let off the throttle completely while riding?

    • @EmxBrandon
      @EmxBrandon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It reduces the range in the sense that im not coasting anymore and yes i have to stay on the throttle to maintain speed just like a car or motorcycle if not you get engine brake or engine drag that will slow you down. But i can almost guarantee you would never notice and kind of reduced range from a welded freewheel.

      My ebox 2.0 motor seems to heat up from not free wheeling like a razor got me thinking of swapping my 2000 watt ebox motor to the mx650 and get a 72 volt battery to throw at it ... the freewheel deft helps motor Temps I think
