Daryl is the best technical vocalist in rick / soul music, his morning to a musical family from a mother who was a vocal teacher who recognized his talent and began teaching him at age three, during his life he's had his own bands, attended Temple University as a music Major, he's always been an inspiration to me as a musician and vocalist, I had greater structures but Daryl has always been like the music teacher who became a rockstar, it's obvious in the stringent directing of the bands and his expectations of his band members to be superhuman musicians, he has stated of his band that he could take each member and change them around in two different instruments and his band would sound the same great quality, if you watch some of their performances over the years then you will see some of the band members doing just that, he is a musician musician and cares about musicianship and musicians and respect real musicianship and introduces them by name live during concerts and gives credit where credit is due and believes in having every instrumental and vocal sound and a band represented by a living actual human being, NO ONE respects musicians in that way anymore. He is a giftted talent at any age even after fifty years now of recording and performing and no one is like that anymore, he needs no validation play other musicians of his genre but he has plenty of it, a lesser-known example is Eddie Van Halen inviting him to join his group when he was putting it together as lead vocalist and Daryl turned him down respectfully that's not what he and John were about, but there was continued respect between he and Eddie, Daryl is revered and respected in the world of popular music and "children" these days should learn to RESPECT him and learn from him as well.

When Daryl Hall and John Oates took to the stage at Sydney’s Entertainment Centre as the iconic bass line of ‘Maneater’ began to play, the fans knew they were in for a treat. This duo may have been opening concerts with that irresistibly smooth number for years, but it never seems to lose its magic, and the crowd - an eclectic mix of teens and baby boomers alike - lapped it up. Daryl Hall and John Oates wisely reunited a few years ago after a string of solo projects, and although Oates no longer sports his signature ‘tache, they put on the kind of show that makes it hard to believe they even considered going their separate ways. Earworms like ‘I Can’t Go For That’, ‘Out Of Touch’ and ‘Kiss On My List’ were surefire reminders that these guys are absolute hit machines, and their catchy synth-soul classics probably deserve to permeate the airwaves as much today as they did decades ago. These Philly crooners still have it in bucket-loads, so this show should have everyone from diehard Daryl Hall and John Oates fans to kids of the 80s groovin’ along in no time.

That was always my favorite tune back in the day.
My last concert, which was H&O, was ruined by a woman constantly on her feet about four rows ahead of me on the floor. I think I had 12th row, she obviously had better. I could not see the stage because she would not sit her ass down. She was the ONLY one on her feet. I was throwing ice to get her attention. My $800 tickets were useless. Silly girl could not control herself either, depriving me of my most looked-foward-to concert of my life. B ... My last live concert.

People are commenting about the high notes. As any singer gets older, their voices deepen and it's hard to reach the high notes that they did when they were younger. Most singers change the key of the songs when they sing them live to accommodate for that or they do a little rearranging of the notes. It's Not unusual at all.

They are at what is a once in a lifetime show for many fans- I wouldn't have been able to control myself if I'd been there. Hall & Oates were a huge part of my teen years & I still love them!!💖💖
**Edit: I'm happy to see that the audience is finally up on their feet. "I Can't Go For That" did the trick!
Love 💘 😻 💜 💛 💚 🧡 💘 everything you guys do anywhere in the world 🌎!

Got reacquainted via Live from Daryl's House. Still love almost everything they do up there! And extra special to have John with them! Just great voices, musicians, professionals, what else can you say? Greatness!

Miss Daryl’s HOUSE so much. Please DARYL BRING IT BACK. 10/21/23.
Absolutely love Hall and Oates! Hands down one of the best bands ever. REALLY surprised by the amount of feedback and sound issues that plagued the the first part of the set :(
Yeah the monitor squeaks were out of hand... I guess Darryl is old-school enough to disregard in-ear monitors
OMG! H@O. Fan, since the 80’s! Have not been able to get to one of their current concerts! Watchin This, makes me feel like I went to a concert! Thank You 😎

Memories with every one of their songs. 💙💙
Totally agree
Now those are all amazing musicians! 😀
These are my men !! I need to see them live!!! The best
Unreal, these guys don't age. But great music never gets old and true artists only get better with age. They really are a National Treasure. I would have loved to have seen G.E. Smith there too, but these guys have it covered. Great job!!!!
And don't forget Ukraines very own
T Bone!
I saw them twice Live. They have great shows!
Excelente concierto, de una banda icónica que trasciende el tiempo. Lo único malo... No haber estado ahí! 😎🤘🎼🎙️

Eu tbém sou muito fã deles adooooro
Marcou até pra mim que não vivi a época... curto muito o som deles. Uma pena que muito provavelmente eu não terei a chance de vê-los ao vivo! =/

These guys always take my minds eye home to Philly and the 70/80’s. So much music and still great. Have seen them way too many times and always will. Thanks Darryl and John.
My first concert Hall and Oates in 1983.I was 6 years old and my mother won tickets off the radio station. I remembered it to this day. Little parts come back to me. Great band..
