    Thank you for the information. Wish you could silence the pump while recording videos as the sound is distracting. Have a tried placing the pump on a silicone mat?

    Without buying the color. What mix makes yellow neos,?

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kinda like what came 1st lol. Greens will throw yellow and yellows will throw greens. I don't have a definitive answer. I think you're best bet is to just get yellows lol

      👍excited to see what comes of it. Plan on setting up 3 20s for my rili experiments. 1 tank will be just for mixing, then the other 2 will be for separating the red rilis and the red blue rilis. Wanna make sure 100% mixing my 2 lines will produce those 2 types of rilis, as you dont know 100% until you do it lol.
      Never had any rili lines before, don't wanna risk bringing in new shrimp from outside right now, and been wanting to try this out for a while now.

      I have had several folks ask me that question, that will be an up snd coming video soon. Its really not thaf exciting, but I do have results in my mixed red tank after putting in a few blue jellies. I am getting red rilis popping up in there.

    Have you ever had good results using prazi pro to deworm guppies? The problems seem to keep coming back

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've spent probably a 1000 bucks on prazi pro lol. So no it helps, but it will always come back. Fenbendazole is by far the best guppy dewormer by far. Also quite handy with limited use in shrimp tanks.

    • @sciencetopics7053
      @sciencetopics7053 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MarkShellyAquatics I just first wanted to thank you for being one of the best smaller TH-camrs ever and being so helpful and responsive in the community! I also do want to ask about your opinions on using fenbendazole medicated food rather than dosing the whole tank. The food is cheap on eBay, and dosing the whole tank seems to be far to deadly for my planted community tank. I’ve been cranking the prazi pro into it, but it’s not helping much. I have slightly oveedosed the tank, and some of the guppies still have parasites. The main issue is that this also spreads to similar fish like some rice fish I tried to introduce with no success. I lost 2 from parasites.

    • @sciencetopics7053
      @sciencetopics7053 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Medicated food and prazi may be the only solution for me, killing worms internally and externally at the same time, please let me know your thoughts though!!!

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sciencetopics7053 medicated food doesnt really work in my opinion. Never had any luck at all with medicated food. Many times sick fish wont even eat, if they dont eat medicated food it obviously doesnt work, none of it ever did a thing for me. I struggles with these guppy parasites for years, only thing that worked and it still took several repeated roounds of dosing before being gone for good is treating entire tank with fenbendazole. Spent 100s on prazi pro that just kinda slowed it down, spent 100s on levamisole and it was much more effective than prazipro, but had to redose every month or so as it just beat it back and it always came back fast. Fenbendazole works good and it came back after 3 or 4 months a couple times, but I haven't dosed in 6 months now and see no signs of ot after dealing with that crap for years in my guppy tanks.

    can neocaridina davidi and neocaridina palmata shrimp interbreed?

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All neos will interbreed, in fact most of the neo lines we have today are some kind of unknown hybrid, at least unknown to me. Most these lines were created in Asia years before anyone over here in the US had even heard of a neo shrimp.

    What would happen if you mixed a wild with a very high grade shrimp.

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well you first of all wouldn't want to do that. Mixing shrimp is fun and all, but you really dont wanna mix high grades with wilds. Mixing shrimp are usually for lower grades, high grades are expensive and you want more, so you want to breed them only with other high grades. But if it did you woukd probably get some lower grades of the the high grade shrimp and some wilds depending what the genetic background of the wild ahrimp is.

      Saw that you had some good ranks in mixing blue dreams, I honestly just put in what my Tube Buddy suggests 99% of the time for my tags, not much work goes into the tag process anymore. Spending all my time trying to figure out titles these days.

    What would I get if I breed red cherry shrimp with bloody Mary?

    • @MarkShellyAquatics
      @MarkShellyAquatics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly hard to tell, my guess is probably a lot of wilds since the two lines are not very closely related. You ought try it out, only way to know. Also depends on what the genetics and quality of the reds and bloody marys as well.

      Thanks 😊 Got the best I could get years ago and have been working them for years. Last time I brought in outside shrimp was over 3 years ago. Been working these lines for a while, and even mid to low grade lines will throw really nice shrimp because of their genetics.
