  • To truly believe in Islam, it is required that the mind is free from any doubts about the religion's legitimacy. Any doubts must be eliminated by any means possible. A Muslim's mind is thus limited because it can only accept information that agrees with Islam and it must reject information that does not.
According to research conducted on American Muslims by the Yaqeen Institute, there are many reasons why Muslims doubt over time. The number one reason is "the way that [some] insist there is only one 'right' way to practice Islam". This confusion likely results from the countless "interpretations" of Islam. How can one be sure that their interpretation of Islam is the correct one? And most importantly, why is there so much confusion? If Islam is the "true" religion, shouldn't it be clear to all Muslims?
If after asking questions and investigating the source of doubts, and one still has doubts, common solutions suggested by the Muslim community to quell the doubts is essentially to ignore them.

Doubt comes from ignorance and "In Islam seeking knowledge is a sacred obligation." Qadir Gilani. And "seek knowledge even unto China." Prophet Mohammed. Seek real knowledge, not just things that support what you want.
