Hey all, This took a little longer than I expected, a few unexpected set backs but finally got it finished and really pleased with the finished product! While not 100% true to original (the original had black bands at either end of the brass chamber), the wear and tear lent itself to a full brass mirror finish. Hope you enjoy the video. Please feel free to leave any feedback in the comments below. Cheers!
I've just been given an identical Dunlop footpump in much the same condition hence searching for and finding your video. An epic restoration and has inspired me. I hope to do similar, but as this is only likely to be a show peice, I might not do the internals as that looked like a nightmare. Thanks for the video.
Your work is awesome! The time and effort you put into the videos is obvious and really makes for a great experience. I’m excited to see your channel take off
Hello, have the same one, not polished ex just made/fitted new leather washer, just want to ask, the 2 holes at the top of the cylinder have they got to match the 2 holes on the spring holder/cap?.Thank you!..
Hey Steven, that's right. These need to line up to allow air into the back of the cylinder when the pedal is compressed and the spring stretches. If you screw the cap on right they should line up automatically.

Genuinely, these things last forever.
Very cool! I love tools and whatnot, it is awesome to see this vintage contraption brought back to life!
