Wow! What a beauty. That knocks spots off those tin pot pressed steel things we have to endure today. Once again, I'm sure your Grandad would be proud. Great job James.
Thanks Pete, I'm really chuffed with it. I didn't expect the brass to polish up as well as it did. And yes, it actually works better then a modern version I have. 😕
A very satisfying restoration, from the days when things were built to last! I was shopping for a foot pump on Amazon recently, and the number of one star reviews saying things like "I used it once and it broke" was just unreal!! 😎♠
Haha I didn't expect it to come out that great looking either. And your right, they don't make things like that no more, my modern version worked for 6 months before it packed up
There is a book written by Gordon Edwards, titled "Vintage British Foot Pumps. The book is occasionally listed on ebay, the only book ever written on the subject.

Yes you are right, I bought a hand air pump, lasted about 6 months. Can't beat a bit of vintage british engineering!!!
WOW... never would have guessed that beauty of a machine was hiding under there.
They sure don't make things like they used to. Awesome job !

Thanks mate, brilliant comment. I'm happy with that! Trying to do a few things different to improve my videos 👍
Great restoration

Shiney and new! My dad had something similar which I used when I was a nipper in the 70s 😀
Let's start a foot pump restoration club. We can meet with our pumps and see how good they blow!😕😲

Cheers Tony, I'm pleased with it. Yes I should be there, don't have anything else planned. What about your good self?

@@Everythings_Adjustable I'm working the Friday night before the Saturday, need to book that off, but I can't see that being a problem

That's a great bit of info, will take a look on eBay for it, I know very little about this foot pump. Thanks 👍
Tidy!
Thanks Andy 👍
