The irony of Clancy Brown voicing Mr. Krabs and Lex Luthor can't be just a coincidence, he must have a thing for voicing characters who are obsessed with greed.
The irony is that Lex Luthor is more on the Envy side because of Superman's influence on the world. Luthor got all of the wealth and power that could help millions (let alone found a cure for cancer), but he chose to go after the Man of Steel in the same way as Plankton tries to sabotage Krab's business by stealing the Krabby Patty secret formula.
