Suggest you ride from Ladakh to Himachal to Uttarakhand. Rain only falls on the lower Himalayas, you can trace through the rain-shadow areas. Also it does not rain much on the central plains, if you want to trace that route.

And that mosque you visited is actually a shrine of a Peer (muslim saint). That's why, this mountain pass is called "Peer ki gali" (gali being Pass).

yeah, Although it varies from state to state but in general there is a problem of Waste Management in India. Mostly because government has not invested enough in this. Why has government not invested appropriately in this ? Because its not a major electoral issue. (Its an issue, but there are multiple much more important issues, like Law and Order, Housing, Infrastructure spending, Education etc ) So when government have a limited budget to spend, they spend in such a way that they will get maximum votes in next election. This problem will get solved when this problems becomes major election issue.
Don't always blame the govt. People don't have the will or common sense, or both, to make a change. For them, patriotism is about hoisting the flag and chanting Jai Hind and vande mataram, when in fact keeping your country clean and such socially responsible activities should be on top of yourvlist of priorities if you truly love the nation.

Even though you see lot of army convoys on roads in ladakh kargil region, they are present only at the actual borders, however in kashmir army is deployed everywhere. You can see them at entrance and exists of each village or town. That is because of heavy separatist sentiments present there. But its unfortunate in such a beautiful part of the country. Kashmir potentially can be switzerland of east, or you can call it other way round that time to switzerland as kashmir of west. But you can find equally beautiful region called as sikkim, it is small region. It comes above west bengal near north east India where there is no such security deployments.

It was army who pick me up before leh when my bike tyre rim got broke as my Czech friend was panicking as we was without water n food in middle of nowhere so a major stopped his truck took us to camp provided us with food n dropped us at mechanic place in leh yeah that time leh was the part of kashmir ...🙏🙏

Those soldiers were talking about Lord Shiva since the mark/sticker on the visor of your bike kind of represents lord shiva. You guys need to be careful of that mark especially in places like kashmir, you or your bike might get attacked by radicals. My comment doesn't sound good, but I'm writing for your safety as I care for the guests of India. I also wanna add that the tourist organizations that rent bikes shouldn't provide foreigners with the bikes with any religious markings, it could trouble them. Also they're more soldiers in kashmir than regular days because 15th August(India's independence day) is coming and terrorists are doing their best to ruin it and disrupt peace. Just a week back some kgs of RDX is caught by the police. This is why the security is tight.

I can't believe, you went to Peer ki gali. Very few tourists ride this route. This mountain pass connects Kashmir valley with Jammu region via Poonch district. And that mosque you visited is actually a shrine of a Peer (muslim saint). That's why, this mountain pass is called "Peer ki gali" (gali being Pass).

yeah, Although it varies from state to state but in general there is a problem of Waste Management in India.
Mostly because government has not invested enough in this.
Why has government not invested appropriately in this ? Because its not a major electoral issue. (Its an issue, but there are multiple much more important issues, like Law and Order, Housing, Infrastructure spending, Education etc )
So when government have a limited budget to spend, they spend in such a way that they will get maximum votes in next election.
This problem will get solved when this problems becomes major election issue.

Don't always blame the govt. People don't have the will or common sense, or both, to make a change. Even though you see lot of army convoys on roads in ladakh kargil region, they are present only at the actual borders, however in kashmir army is deployed everywhere. You can see them at entrance and exists of each village or town. That is because of heavy separatist sentiments present there. But its unfortunate in such a beautiful part of the country. Kashmir potentially can be switzerland of east, or you can call it other way round that time to switzerland as kashmir of west.
But you can find equally beautiful region called as sikkim, it is small region. It comes above west bengal near north east India where there is no such security deployments.

It was army who pick me up before leh when my bike tyre rim got broke as my Czech friend was panicking as we was without water n food in middle of nowhere so a major stopped his truck took us to camp provided us with food n dropped us at mechanic place in leh yeah that time leh was the part of kashmir ...🙏🙏
The Army person was explaining you the meaning of word "MAHAKAL" written on Saliha's Bike, It is one of the names of GREAT LORD SHIVA. And Mahakal means "LORD OF DESTRUCTION".
Those soldiers were talking about Lord Shiva since the mark/sticker on the visor of your bike kind of represents lord shiva.
You guys need to be careful of that mark especially in places like kashmir, you or your bike might get attacked by radicals.
My comment doesn't sound good, but I'm writing for your safety as I care for the guests of India. I also wanna add that the tourist organizations that rent bikes shouldn't provide foreigners with the bikes with any religious markings, it could trouble them.
Also they're more soldiers in kashmir than regular days because 15th August(India's independence day) is coming and terrorists are doing their best to ruin it and disrupt peace. Just a week back some kgs of RDX is caught by the police. This is why the security is tight.
