@20:55 You can go to trekking anywhere in Kashmir. There are couple of most beautiful treks ranging from 1 day to 8 days in duration. In fact many Israelis & Europeans come to trek there. But you need someone local person/guide who knows about the trek or the best idea to go with organized trekking companies in mixed group. Trekking companies don't cost much even.
Hey Pierre! it was fun but I guess rains have ruined a lot of your plans, as the content quality came down since we were in Himachal Pradesh. I hope to see more coming from you, now you're heading back. Btw as now you've seen multiple capital cities of different topography and geographical locations of India, and same impression of being a bit hectic, such places. I will recommend you to see what we find impressive when we were there is Simla and Dharamshala. Simla especially because we were amused to see it first time, created by British obviously lol, but its quite clean, no touts and typical European structures.
Why were you not allowed trekking? Monsoon? There is one famous 3 day trek in Kashmir, I think it's called Great Lakes. You can try that if you wish on your way back.
