Learning terrain in different regions to harvest a deer, elk, antelope, turkey, etc is a beautiful thing. I think most hunters have little to no interest in this type of hunting. Most hunters want the sure thing and will typically hunt the same place over and over. I think this comes down to a person's tendency in life, not just hunting. Developing the skillsets of the adventure in new areas translates into everyday life. This sense of urgency to find the advantage to successfully hunt a new area, creates a lot of opportunity in other areas of life such as vocation, relationships, health, spirituality and on the list goes. What we are talking about here is a way of life and the need to grow to discover the new freedoms the growth provides. Get out there!

some of us are forced into the public hunting life because of outfitting. old hunting spot gets bought up by outfitters and they want you to pay 3k for 5 days of hunting when you previously knew the farmer until he died. if they could make selling hunts as illegal as selling game we would all be in better shape.
