Just so you know guys, I bought a battery from Tayna for my VW Sharan last year and it failed in 10 months! Tayna refused to refund or replace the battery and I was left to find another battery and just throw away the one they sold me. I would NEVER do business with them again and would recommend anyone to avoid them at all costs. I am an experienced petrol head and have done my own car repairs and maintenance since I was old enough to drive so I know what I am talking about. Love your channel, by the way.
Absolutely amazing the sophistication the alarms/immobilisers we have today. Josh you are a star. First rate detective work. JR vehicle services, top notch. Rob you have a brilliant networking with your contacts. Brilliant video as usual the paint on the Maserati, excellent. Yet another first rate repair.
What a hero Josh is 👍🏻 Stunning looking car like you both said 😊 Looking forward to hearing the numbers in this one 🤔 I can see Chris and his misses having a jolly out in this beautiful car before it’s sold 🤩
Nightmare when someone fits these trackers in conspicuous places. That was some effort to stick under the fuse box. Well done for completing this guys.. real challenge. The newer cars are getting more technically locked out, but I guess that's all down to the number that are getting stolen too easily. Great content again chaps. Love your excited enthusiasm Rob. 🤟
These are the things that get missed or forgotten when the insurance takes them but a very good well hidden job but that is the thing you want when you have a 60-70 grand upwards motor well done josh
My UK supplied Maserati Levante has a tracker system fitted as standard. It is a Vodafone system where you need a blue fob with you when you use the car, not that anyone would steal one of these, it’s not a Range Rover! 😂
Looks lovely, you’ll have to get the radar calibrated as you’ve had the front bumper off and the old calibration will not be the same with the new bumper. That will probably get rid of a lot of your fault codes.
Watching even someone like Josh who is a master in his field, struggle and going through his thought processes is priceless. Hope the numbers make all the aggro worth it chaps 😁
That little model you said was a ‘bluetooth’ is correct, I have used them on tuning boxes to allow you to use your phone to monitor… in your case, it’s to deactivate the immobiliser.
Proper Sherlock job there Josh well done you knew the issue finding it was the major problem great post again guys been patiently waiting for this post all afternoon
Fair play to Maserati for going to the trouble of hiding the radar sensor in the front grill badge, a lot of even high end manufacturers put them on in plain view spoiling the original design concept.
Tracker with remote immobilisation Rob, teltonika unit… fitted hundreds of them, usually to prestige rental companies Controlled via an app, can remotely disable the vehicle from starting
Even though it is not quite finished this car is looking great. We all know Josh is an expert but that took a bit of head scratching for him until he found the culprit. The tail gate may have come from the factory like that but who knows at least you have fixed it now. Another great video Rob and Chris well done. Is there not anywhere else local that would remove the Cat. S for you? Just a thought. 👍👍
Nice job ! 👍. I think access to the ‘gateway’ Rob will come with some manufacturer’s licence conditions, namely security of the ‘electronic key’. I wouldn’t share details of the arrangements to be honest…
Very interesting video 📹 as usual fellas this has turned out well smart big well done to josh he certainly knows his onions 🌰 on these electric motors take care and stay lucky and healthy 👍 looking forward to Wednesday's video 📹 already 😊❤
Another great car but it also raises the question of the complexity of vehicle electrics and the categories of damage easier to scrap than fix and how they go about it ❤
Is it the camera or are the front wings a slightly different shade of white ? Not criticising as another top notch repair as always. Chris and Rob never seem fazed by things they just work the problem until its fixed.
This car not really doing it for me tbh. I know Maseratti are not for everyone, but the wheels look not brilliant and the white just looks bland. Not overly keen on the styling of this model too. Appreciate the work that's gone into it tho. Josh played a blinder finding that gadget. 👏
I guess you could sell this but it’s a hard one to value if anyone would be interested as it’s very expensive. Raffle you’ll definitely make a good £30k-£40k £20 a ticket 🤔 lovely car I’m thinking about a Ghibli for myself
How’s the colour match on front wing looks bit off in the pics but could be new paint with old paint etc Great video boys keep up the good work Regards Adam
This may sound a stupid question but, can you not change the category if it’s checked over? Like you said “you would like to know where the structural damage is” so it could be changed to Non-structural damage.
Cant beat sunday evenings, Salvage rebuilds, saving salvage and Matt Armstrong. My favourite in that otder ❤
Too much on a Sunday!
Followed by Retropower for me afterwards
Same for me except Saving Salvage always seems to be just VAG stuff that I’m not really interested in.

Was it an exide battery? Or what brand?
Rob: took Josh a couple of days😂 : watched his video this afternoon - looks like he had to work over all of Xmas : Outstanding work from Josh 🎉🎉
Josh to the rescue. Amazing work
That tracker took some working out, but Josh came up trumps again. Another success. Well done guys.
Rob must be the absolute dream partner.... always positive...this guy is uplifting....Chris is the everything Guru ....what a dream team

Lovely motor - the video on Josh’s channel was very impressive. He really worked hard to get that sorted.👍
These are the things that get missed or forgotten when the insurance takes them but a very good well hidden job but that is the thing you want when you have a 60-70 grand upwards motor well done josh
Anyone else think black wheels do not look good anymore ?
I hate them ,looks like the old steel steel wheels .
Thought exactly that too
They’ve NEVER looked good.
Yep. Silver is on the way back.
They never did

Everybody needs a Josh in their life. Well done Josher

we use the same diagnostic as you at work and now so many cars have firewalls and you need to pay the subscription for full access.
Watched joshes vid this afternoon 😊
Great video as ever lads. I personally however really struggle to see the beauty in this car especially in white with black wheels.
As usual an excellent lesson in patience and confidence ❤
That little model you said was a ‘bluetooth’ is correct, I have used them on tuning boxes to allow you to use your phone to monitor… in your case, it’s to deactivate the immobiliser.

Absolutely beautiful car fantastic job as always lads 👏👏👏👏👏
Done a grand job on this beautiful car guys
Proper Sherlock job there Josh well done you knew the issue finding it was the major problem great post again guys been patiently waiting for this post all afternoon
Black alloys total ruin the look of the car in my opinion
I'm not a fan of black wheels, they ruin the look for me!
Josh looked 50/50 annoyed and relieved. Good work folks, she's a beauty 😍
Nice job chaps. A bit of a head scratcher for Josh on that immobiliser.
Teltonika FMB920 tracker and immobiliser is the name!
Josh is certainly a good guy to know
Great video guys well deserved for all your hard work and Josh too for all the head scratching
Fair play to Maserati for going to the trouble of hiding the radar sensor in the front grill badge, a lot of even high end manufacturers put them on in plain view spoiling the original design concept.

Great result, but it didn’t come easy with this one. Fantastic to see it all done.😊

Is it the camera or are the front wings a slightly different shade of white ? Not criticising as another top notch repair as always. Chris and Rob never seem fazed by things they just work the problem until its fixed.
Anyone remember it was plugs points or condenser problems 😅
Loving my analogue cars.
Good old Josh. Lovey looking car. Well done .
you can get a gateway bypass obd cable
What a super job on a great looking car, well done lads!
Brilliant Episode
Gents right hand side of the tail gate 18:41 there is a paint defect looks like perforation, that’ll be covered under warranty
That was a drop of water 💧 in my eyes
@ I thought that but once the tail gate dropped it didn’t move and why only one water drop in a warm work shop, hey I hope the paints 100%
@jac9337 Probably washed the car before putting in workshop for the video.
Great work looks very nice 👍
Nice job looks good another one saved

Great video boys keep up the good work

Adam
Fantastic looking car guys
Try and claim on a battery guarantee from Tanya. Makes the Grand National seem like a short walk.
Lovely motor 👊
Cracking motor 👌
Raffle 🤔
Pleasure to watch as always 💯🥃
Fantastic looking car
Good job lads
How was that written off
I can't believe that the car needed a new battery at that age.
👍
I have a Immobiliser similar to that called a starline you need the tag with your key to start the vehicle
Yes almost everything’s on Bluetooth these days..
I use Tayna all the time now, prices already good but an extra SRUK discount is always welcome.
Beautiful, simply beautiful.
Looking good
How’s the colour match on front wing looks bit off in the pics but could be new paint with old paint etc
Stunning 👍
Wheels need be sprayed make it look better
Gorgeous family SUV guy's 👌👌👌
Italian vehicle video ! Good to get that Maserati sorted.
This may sound a stupid question but, can you not change the category if it’s checked over? Like you said “you would like to know where the structural damage is” so it could be changed to Non-structural damage.
No, once categorised it is forever.
love the videos rob
