Got mine today because of this video... I already had the 45mm from CR but you pointed out beautifully the uniqueness of the 42mm Skyfall version and it sealed it for me. Keep up the great content.
Love the story about getting the watch! Own the same one and it's my only omega so far. Wearing it on every occasion and it never let me down! Very happy for you and hope you will a lot enjoyment out of it!
I had the first gen Planet Ocean 2200.50 in 42mm. Stunning watch only gripe was the hippocampus on the back irritating my wrist. I'm sure yours with the exhibition case provides greater comfort. Sold mine to buy our first house in 2010. Keep hinting to my wife I'm owed a replacement. She then reminds me of the two Tudors and a Tag Heuer I have sat on my bedside 🤣
Huge congratulations - I fell in love with that watch the second I saw it on screen in Skyfall. Such a versatile piece with a great connection to one of the all time best Bond films.
Congrats Luke, I have had the same watch in 45.5mm for about a year and I love it! It is indeed a beautiful luxurious watch that somehow still retains it’s tooltastic vibe thanks to that matte liquid metal bezel. It’s such a multi dimensional watch which seems to offer more interesting details the more time one spends looking at it. I’m hoping to get me a 42mm one some time in the future, they sure aint as easy to come by.
I enjoyed the video. Congrats on the PO and the meaning behind it. My Bond watches are the Skyfall Aqua Terra and the Casino Royale Seamaster 300M (model 2220.80). Over the summer I had the Casino Royale serviced by Omega so it looks brand new.
Hi Luke. Just found your channel thru the Bond Experience. Awesome content. Life long Bond fan here in Bloomfield Hills. Let me know when you have some time to show you my original Speedmaster Mark II. - Rance
Very nice, I think it’s my favourite of the three Planet Oceans. Very nice of you wife to get you such a gift. I always assumed that Bond sold the watch after the PTS for walking around money, or to pay for underground medical expenses so no one could find him.
Sold my Omega Seamaster Co-Axial 2220.80.00 in order to get this exact watch on 43.5mm and with the lower text on dial in orange aswell as the Seamaster logo and second hand tip. Cant wait for it to arrive this month for my birthday gift to myself 🎉
Congratulations on your planet ocean! Excellent choice, and the ceramic bezel is an amazing upgrade compared to the QOS version, as well as it having the 8500 movement! Wear in good health! 🍾 Side note, I hope someday you get your speedmaster! Might i recommend a speedy reduced or one of the other non moonwatch versions to start with! That way you can get into one a bit easier compared to dropping the premium for a professional moonwatch... I did this with my 300m as the midsize made more sense to get at the time vs the 42mm and save a few bucks for what is mechanically and aesthetically near identical!
You absolutely should not shower in your watch. The steam will destroy the rubber gaskets, which will cause it to leak (aka completely destroy it). Side note, what do you mean the Planet Ocean was used three times by Quantum of Solace? That was only the second time it was used, since Pierce Brosnan only had Seamasters.
I disagree. I own an SMP 300 (the model from CR) since 2008 and a Planet Ocean Chronograph since 2009. I regularly wear them when I take a shower and the only thing it does to them is that it cleans them up. These watches are designed to get exposed to water.
@@TheRealBGregz For a sealing the conditions under a shower are not challenging at all. Even NBR, which is the simpliest sealing material, resists hot water. You could even throw it into boiling water and it would not change its properties significantly. I don't know at which temperature you take a shower but I do not turn the water piping hot. At around 60 degree Celsius it will be hot enough to hurt you so it will be way below that. Ageing has a higher impact on the functionality of the sealing. That's why manufacturers of dive watches recommend to check water resistance every year.
A few points of constructive criticism the word (like )should only be used like 3 or 4 like hundred times in like a video ) as well as aaaa and umm, As a member of the previous generation and the son of an English teacher, it’s distressing to listen to what has happened to the English language… I admire your passion and enthusiasm……. And I only hope to inspire you not insult. Cheers 🍻

David is ABSOLUTELY correct when he says “of course you don’t until you do!” SPOT ON!!! Beautiful price! Good choice!

Fantastic to see you getting a dream watch! I hope you manage to wear it and enjoy it for years to come :)
Thanks so much!!

😍😍😍 I love this one! I presently have the newer iteration of Planet Ocean with the 8900 movement.

This is a great watch. I am glad you got it. After the Spectre one, this would definitely be my second choice.
Thanks VIsqo! I'm a big fan of the Spectre as well!
I like your take on this man, I feel the 3 movie watch idea is fantastic, cheers
Love the watch, great video boys!
Thanks my friend! ❤️❤️
Luke’s not only moved in to David’s basement /museum-but he’s also wearing his prop jacket! Way to go Luke!!!Seriously, Congrats on the new PO😎
And his underwear!! Haha thanks Matt!
@@BondsApartment it’s all good man. When you bust into his Bollinger please film it! Great watch again. One of my favorites!
Congrats, beautiful Omega. I also have the GoldenEye quartz as well as a Planet Ocean (not this one). Just a wonderful gift from your missus.
Congrats! Very nice watch
Thank you very much!
Recently bought this watch, and I absolutely love it. It says "Bond watch" without the 007 markings and goes with just about everything.

This is the only Omega I am lucky enough to have. Its the 007 branded one with the ‘007’ at 7, and I love that its there. Its a fine watch, enjoy!
It’s a great one!
Both gentlemen looking very sharp!
Thanks Klaus!

Should have gone with the first issue PO Casino Royale/QofS though those are tough to get in decent condition.
Does Craig have the same watch as this in Spectre? In the beginning before he gets the Qbranch watch?
Looking forward to this!
Thanks Joe!

It’s shown when he is in the digger on the train
That's correct
So smart that’s the better movement

@@Harry-tb8yo Water yes, but not hot water. You’ll see sooner or later 👍🏻

@@walterhardinge-zt2ol I appreciate the feedback. This video is about 2 years old. I think I've improved since then.
