I bought the Casino Royale Omega Seamaster recently to have that movie connection. The model worn in the movie, not the 007 edition. I've had that idea rattling around in my head since you did the Quantum of Solace watch video. My favorite watch is the Seiko SPB 143 which is much smaller and reminds me of the Connery Rolex. It isn't a Bond watch, but a Bond-ish watch. Watching your video was like taking a trip back in time, quite enjoyable.
Wear the 60th David. If you wore it just once or everyday it won’t matter when you sell it. Dealers always pay way less than it “sells” for. More importantly, watches aren’t an investment. They’re an asset if one’s lucky. It goes up and down. Omegas across the board are dropping like rocks. Now your Submariner 14060 is a way better choice for a safe Queen. Wear and enjoy! 🥂
Love that the Aqua Terra is as high as it is, really is an incredible piece, and almost a sneaky Bond moment as it lurks in the background across several movies.
I love all the Bond watches, even the one on the wrist of the writer. But when I got my first Bond like watch, it was at a time I didn't believe in spending big on a watch, the most expensive watch I owned was a mid range G-Shock, I ended up buying an Omega Seamaster Professional 41mm Quartz in Stainless Steel 2542.80, a little under £1k (which was for me at the time a unjustifiable amount of money to explain to my very frugal family members who either wear watches handed down to them or rock Casio's). I love the watch, you talk about 'those Bond moments' like when you se your refection and adjust the tie or when you flick the wrist to see the time and its such an uplift and not to sound petty, life can suck sometimes and its nice to have those moments that simply make you happy.
17:57 Hey David love your collection love your take on why. For me it would be either the Omega blue or the Rolex. The Omega blue was my first and started my path on collecting and connecting with Bond and the jb lifestyle. I can also remember trying to pause Sean Connery bond movies and other searches to identify the watches.
On the secondary market the 60th anniversary is selling for $8k-$11k at most…not $18k. It might be holding its value now, but the secondary market seems to be pricing this to lose value over time based on where it’s sitting.
I’ve got the Seamaster 2531.80, and absolutely love it. Seeing your journey for the Quantum PO 42 really put that on my radar, and I think I’ll be tracking one done before too long. Thanks for the video David!
Brilliant collection mate. Omega as a brand are grail territory for me. I'm in the British military & coming towards the end of a 3 month deployment abroad. So with some of the money saved, in preparation for my 28th birthday, I'll be buying my first seamaster next month! Can't wait.

The next watch I would love you see you get is the Casino Royale Omega Seamaster 300m 2220.80. A fancier version of the Brosnan Seamaster but with applied indices and logo. And it comes from one of the best Bond movies!

Hi David I meant ofcourse a 1970s 5513 a la SAW. But no doubt the collection you have is bang on. The no date is fabulous. Really enjoyed seeing and hearing all about your watches. Fabulous.
I'm happy that I also own your number 1. I'm not sure it's my number 1 but I do love it. One that you didn't mention is my one and only Rolex: a 36mm Explorer which I consider a Bond literary watch ever though it's not explicitly mentioned. Ian Fleming supposedly worn one and I think it very Bond-like.
Cant argue much with your ranking David although personally I’m still on the hunt for the Casino Royale Seamaster 300m Co Axial. I reckon that one would be near the top of your list as well.
I’d be interested in what watches you might recommend for affordable, perhaps entry level/budget price points if you want that Bond look but can’t go after Omega or Rolex.
One I think I would love to own is the 2019 Omega OHMSS Anniversary Seamaster, OHMSS is one of my favorite films (I have a OHMSS themed tattoo), so it just makes sense.
Nice collection, surprised you don’t own the Rolex Explorer 1016 as worn by Fleming and often suggested in the books the correct Rolex for Bond , I own one and it’s a beautiful watch , was surprised that the Spectre watch didn’t win and I own the NTTD omega so I would have liked to see that further up
I'm surprised it took you this long to get the Skyfall Aqua Terra. Great movie, beautiful watch, and it goes so well with suits. But, better late than never! I have one and it's my favorite watch.
Unfortunately, the watch has been misidentified as a Gruen - When carefully examining stills from the film and BTS shots of Connery, its clear that the watch's case/lugs doesn't match the Gruen.
@@TheBondExperienceThat is a fair question. Mostly I refer to Dr.No, FRWL and Goldfinger as the consensus and ref-material all suggest it's the same watch. As of DAF, the pop culture zeitgeist also include the gold dress-watch to be the same as in the earlier films, however there is no solid reference material for it being the same watch. However, since there is next to no ref material apart from the shot of Connery opening the safe, there really isn't anything that suggest that it would be the Gruen either.
Casino PO 45 mm, but the regular 1 st gen 45 mm with micro the only omega you need if you gave the wrist , seamaster 222.80 blue with swirl on the dial that’s the best in 41 imho
That’s a fantastic collection! Bond watches are always so impressive but the price makes them usually unobtainable for most of us. I’m still astounded by my Casio Royale for being so well put together, very close to the Octopussy Seiko design and somehow only $25.
My tops are the Aqua Terra, Brosnan Goldeneye (Omega owes most of their growth to that watch), Specter, NTTD. The Bond watch that bugs me the most is the Planet Ocean (Never thought of that as a watch Bond should have worn)
YES THE BEST ROLEX IS THAT FROM LIVE AND LET DIE.I HAD ONCE THE SAME ROLEX .BUT THE BUBLE BACK ON THE WATCH WAS UNCOMFORTABLE IF YOU HAD THE WATCH ON ALL DAY
The Aqua Terra piece is absolutely stunning. I have over twenty timepieces and I also love that blue dial. It fits so nice on my wrist. The NTTD is also special.
Enjoyed your collection. To me, the Rolex is THE Bond watch (thank you Sir Sean and Ian). But a 6538 cost ($$$,$$$) is beyond absurd. I admire Omega for their marketing savvy. Brilliant investment in the Bond franchise. Their watch designs don't resonate with me, which is why I went the Rolex route, but you have to admire the brilliance of the Omega marketing team in leveraging the Bond connection. But the most important question I have for you is... HOW do you keep all of your Bond movie display areas so clean of dust? Crikey, I must live in a sandstorm, I'm forever dusting around my house.
The Omegas are a bank. Very good investment. I tend to wear my Omegas daily, as I am simply a fanboy. My favourite one is the Moonwatch. Watches are a man’s best friend, paraphrasing Marylin Monroe 😎
If I had to rank your watches, my top 3 would be the Spectre, Sub, and the Quantum of Solace Planet Ocean. David, your 60th anniversary Bond watch doesn’t sell for 18k lol… it sells for under retail now. Wear it and enjoy it.
My "Bond watch" is my Omega P.O. 41mm, courtesy of my wife. I also have a Wired (Seiko) digital watch with a module a bit similar to the Seiko Octopussy watch.
Your Seamaster from "Quantum of Solace" - I agree - deserves to be no. 1. And it is better than the official "Quantum of Solace" Seamaster offered by Omega. I wish the brand hadn't ruined their official "Quantum of Solace" Seamaster by making it 45.5mm. Why give Craig a 42mm for the movie and us the 45.5mm? You picked the perfect size by going with the non-official version.
Can't believe you're casino royale po has been overtaken,we will see in another year, and I thought you had two rolexes a reference no slightly up from the goldfinger one on the olive, navy and wine colour strap, great video David.
The Sub will always be my Bond watch, not the Omega 300 or Planet Ocean, though i also have the PO in orange 45.5mm. I've lost all my interest in Bond movies with their totally forgettable villains and convoluted plots. 60 years later and we can still remember Joseph Wiseman in his cool detached Dr. No, Gert Frobe as Auric Goldfinger, Donald Pleasance or Charles Gray as Ernst Blodfeld. Can anyone name thr actors and character villains in the last 10 Bond movies? In Dr. No, I had read that the scene called for Sean Connery to look at his watch, but not having his watch on his wrist, director Terrence Young tossed Connery his Rolex Sub to wear for the scene. Now, movies pair up with product companies to make a 3 hour commercial with strategic product placement and specific mentions in the script. Totally fabricated nonsense and plainly too commercialized. I used to get calls from the local Omega Boutique to come look at their latest Bond watches, made with the "007" on the second hand counterbalance or a gun barrel spiral on the dial. So tacky and cheesy. No thanks.
I bought the Casino Royale Omega Seamaster recently to have that movie connection. The model worn in the movie, not the 007 edition. That would be amazing!
@@TheBondExperience i have a tropical one, from WMT , can highly recommend them. I wear it more then my Omega
David, would you ever get a Rolex Explorer like Bond has in the books?
The Omegas are a bank. Very good investment. I tend to wear my Omegas daily, as I am simply a fanboy. My favourite one is the Moonwatch. Watches are a man’s best friend, paraphrasing Marylin Monroe 😎
If I had to rank your watches, my top 3 would be the Spectre, Sub, and the Quantum of Solace Planet Ocean.
David, your 60th anniversary Bond watch doesn’t sell for 18k lol… it sells for under retail now. Wear it and enjoy it.
Omega Seamaster watches are my favourite.
No.1 quantum of solace watch also my favourate have 1 in my collection
i think the omega seamaster no time to die is one of the most beautiful omega watch ever made
Shoes, suits, hairdos next 😉
I much prefer the Seiko chronograph from A View to a Kill than the one in this video personally
Thank you
Very welcome!
Nice collection. The Gruem would rank higher on my list and I'm not even a dress watch guy.
Need to add a Rolex Explorer 1016 as the next Rolex to pay homage to Fleming and his love for them 👍
I have the Omega 007 casino royale with 007 sweep hand and gun design face .
Thanks❤
All of the times are off David. It's driving me nuts. Great video though!
LOL! I hadn't even thought of that....good eye!
I had the official quantum of solace omega watch, someone stole it from me
That sucks!
@@TheBondExperience broke my heart but some years later I bought an orange bezel omega planet ocean and I am happy with it
Omega seamaster 300 is best known Bond watch.
That 60th is all over the net for £8000
The Spectre seamaster is the best
Imo It’s Rolex 5513, omega seamaster 300m and 300 on top 3.
Skyfall PO for me.
Can't believe you're casino royale po has been overtaken,we will see in another year, and I thought you had two rolexes a reference no slightly up from the goldfinger one on the olive, navy and wine colour strap, great video David.
I’m nearly 50 and I haven’t owned 20+ watches in my life let alone Rolex’s lol.
You have always been ahead of your times...
Where is the 60th anniversary? 😮
Finish watching the video
No thanks.
I stopped wearing my Rolex Submariner because of the crime in L.A.. Wearing an iPhone watch instead.
i can buy the 60th for 8500€ not more ;-) new, never worn, full set , not 18k lol
Spectre is the limited watch worth the most.
nice watches! get new batteries!
Just don't get dress watches. Overpriced tat in my opinion.
