      This is the kind of thing that makes a mf want to become a lawyer. Or a death row executioner.
      Unfortunately, too many innocent people have been put to death under suspicious circumstances that turned out to either be completely false, or caused by somebody else entirely, making too many otherwise innocent executioner's (Holy Sh!t, thats a great band name:0
      I'm using it as a suggestion if I ever get my hand fixed and rejoin one lol Innocent Executioner's/ Otherwise Innocent...I think I like the latter better personally, although the former is pretty metal tooX)) into unknowing participants to murder/manslaughter by order of the state and/or national governments.
      I'd rather be on the lawyer/private investigations side of proving the definitely, heinously evil type of criminal, guilty without question based on solid substantial evidence, and therefore deserving of punishment to the fullest extent of the law, so as to expedite the process of punishment while personally decreasing the rate of false imprisonments and State-Sanctioned executions, through my own hard work, research, effort, and fearlessness in the face of the most vile, potentially deadly of criminals that have willing decided to dedicate their time and/or efforts to activities that actively harm or otherwise negatively affect those around them.
      Unfortunately I don't know how to get my foot in the door to be a lawyer. I'm poor and live on a government check of just under $500 a month. I can't even afford to eat three meals per day for the last half of the month usually, let alone conceive of how to get into law school with my current level of poverty; not to mention that combined with my own petty but admittedly extensive public arrest record from the ages of about 17-20 or so even though I'm closing in on 30 soon (I'll be 27 in about a month now, 3 years sounds like NOTHING at this point and is coming almost faster than I can handle) and have stayed out of trouble for years.
      But those two things combined with my extremely rocky medical history from the past decade...well, I'm TOLD that kind of thing isn't supposed to be able to be accessed by employers, right? Because I don't know if my history of ptsd, bi-polar type 1, and another disorder that I don't honestly want to disclose, but all of which I have under control at this point after a bit of therapy and learning the right medications and health habits to keep myself "average", so to speak.
      TL;DR
      I've seriously contemplated and considered a career in criminal law with specialization in particularly heinous crimes and criminals, because of how often these kind of high level, sometimes brewing-for-generations type of inhuman events actually take place, and because of the many things I've personally seen and heard in real life, in the media and on the internet that are unfortunately all too real.
      Unfortunately I have a slightly long and rocky, though petty, criminal record from when I was a young adult myself (I'm 27 now, haven't been in trouble in 5-7 years), along with being completely destitute from literally living on just under $500 per month. I have a slightly off medical history as well, but I doubt that woul hold me back now that I've got the situation pretty much under control to where most people can't tell anything was ever wrong with me upon first glance.
      However, even if I could find a way into law school without acquiring massive debts, Idk if my criminal record would keep me from being accepted anywhere.
      I either want to do that or be a university/college teacher with a few specializations I already have picked out, by the time I'm 50. That way I can work through retirement doing something I love that isn't physically demanding, and is morally and mentally fulfilling either way, if the jobs are done honestly and with a good, strong intent to help others who really do either need and/or want the help. Especially if I could end up working with mostly underprivileged people like myself that may otherwise never have had the chance to get the same quality legal help or education, I at all, depending on the individual(s) involved and their circumstances...
      Lol I suck at summing things up, my bad. That was supposed to be a summary, not a paraphrase-_-;
      So...if anybody actually read this far......any suggestions? Helpful ones, I mean-.-
      Edit: If anyone DOES read this far but doesn't have an answer, can you please be kind enough to up vote this so someone with an answer who used to be in the same or a similar situation might see it and respond eventually?
      It would be greatly appreciated and the effort won't go to waste on my end either way, I guarantee.
      I realize I posted this twice btw, and I normally don't spam anything ever, but it might actually be beneficial for me to post this both individually and in the main chat area for this video. For the pursuit of justice, knowledge, and happiness!...
      Lol
      Anyone?

      idkimlost Canada has a long history of dismissing and ignoring indigenous people especially, but particularly women. it makes them a target because traffickers know their cases won’t be investigated or they’ll be thrown out, just like this one. there’s a lot of systemic racism towards canada’s indigenous population and, unfortunately, because of previous laws and stereotypes, it leaves criminals open to exploit them. it’s sickening.

    As an indigenous woman myself, it’s great that you’re talking about Amber’s story. Indigenous people are forever swept under the rug when it comes to murder, disappearances, abuse, you name it.. There’s so much unsolved cases from our people, it’s very sad. If only law enforcement took us a lot more seriously. I’m from Montana, and there’s numerous unsolved cases here, and the numbers still continue to rise. My grandmother (my dad’s mom), was murdered back in New Year’s of 1971, and her case is still unsolved. My dad was only 5 when it happened, and he still remembers that night, he’s 54 now. It’ll be 50 years this coming New Years, and there’s still no justice..

    The situation with Amber pisses me off so much. I’m Canadian and the way they treat indigenous people here, especially indigenous women is horrifying. Police don’t give a shit and will actually fuck up investigations on purpose just so they don’t have to bother looking into it. A family friend of ours ended up with her entire family thinking she was dead just because she couldn’t respond to them for two days. It has happened to them so frequently there’s usually no doubt in their minds someone is dead once they lose contact, even for a short period of time. It’s so angering and so disgusting how normal this has become in my country. Absolutely terrifying.

      I mean, Jesus was a carpenter, most of the time lived in essentially more than modestly enough surroundings to be referred to as poverty by most standards, (not saying you have to believe in Jesus or that specific telling but that is the general agreement for that time in His life) and that is small in comparison to the other ways he was rich being the Son of God. I think you’d even be able to argue that living in a way that lends to feelings of superiority resulting from physical possessions and wealth is the exact opposite of living in a Godly way as a prophet should. That’s why the “super church’s” and their leaders lifestyles are so obviously taking part in the sin that is Greed despite preaching against being a sinner and not living for God and accepting his fortunes as they come even if it makes a simple way of life. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and it’s easy to make yourself believe, especially if you clearly have some type of mental illness or personality disorder in life up till then, that while God lends their preaching (especially in a case of someone who is saying they are a prophet which quite literally is supposed to be letting God use your body and voice to spread His word;) they also believe God has told them they are superior in some way and therefore deserve spoils from their congregation and the rest of the world that others do not and that those things must be provided by those around you like wife and children while really denying at the same time their own family any sliver of their “good fortune.”
      Living in excess is most closely linked to Satan when we must look at it from different angles and nowhere near any commandment of God does it insist that anyone is better than anyone else, all being God’s children and all being loved the same.
      That man was obviously a textbook narcissist, and on top of that just completely intrenched in his own reasoning of God’s word that he clearly twisted to best suit his needs and the life he believed he deserved. Painfully painfully Godless, his family paid the price. It’s so sick when someone can manipulate others by using their faith as a way to cover up the fact everything being said is the exact opposite of Godliness. Just another sick person with a messiah complex so thick it could penetrate a rhino’s skin like a hot knife thru butter.
      But you are right as well, he can’t afford to feed his kids and it’s because he genuinely believes he should t have to. His job is telling himself he’s hearing God speak in his mind telling him all these illusions of grandeur and wealth and women when in reality it’s just his own voice, but seeing as he clearly believes he is LIKE a God he doesn’t have to work hard to convince himself he hears God, because he is God in his eyes.
      He perverted every inch of proper behavior listed for a recipe to a Godly life because he didn’t believe in God, he wanted everyone around him to believe he WAS God, and in a sad sad way to many of his family (wives... children.... children wives) he was the end all of everything.
      He’s right about one thing though, his spot in the afterlife is signed, sealed, and delivered divinely but he believes he’s getting a water front condo in heaven, when really he just gets a permanently melting mud hut, with only one chair inside of it and the chair just hasn’t giant spikes on the seat, in the hot as balls Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of hell itself 😂 He even gets the great honor of calling the big khahuna down there his neighbor.. who comes over super neighborly until he’s earned his trust and allowed into his home.... then he just goes to TOWN on his 🍑
      😂😂

      The biggest mass shooting to ever happen in Canada was in Nova Scotia only a few weeks ago. While this was happening the RCMP neglected to warn any local police and the only alert they sent out was via a single post on Twitter instead of the provincial emergency alert system. During this time, two RCMP officers shot at a Fire Hall used to house evacuees from this incident even though the RCMP knew the shooter was in an other town and after doing so they hopped in their car and just left the scene.

    the story about the girl falling and having her legs severed haunts me. i can recall a similar experience i had at a Six Flags a long time ago, when i was probably around 10 years old. it was my friend's birthday party and a couple of us, my two closest friends and me, had decided to go on this family friendly ride where there are these metal seats all connected to this really tall central metal pole, and the seats go up and down, simulating what it would feel like to fly in a parachute.
    my friends and i went up one time, and were thrilled by how far we could see. to be honest, i don't recall the view as even being that beautiful, but we could see miles and miles of land everywhere which was awesome. so we decided to go up another time, with no problems. the 3 of us realized we still had over 10 minutes to spare before our meeting time with the dad of the birthday girl, so just for fun, we decided to go up once more. i remember one of the friends saying something like she didn't want to ride it again, and that she had a queasy feeling in her stomach. but my other, more excited friend said that it would be good fun and it would commemorate a fun trip.
    but when we got to the top of the ride, something happened. at first, it was nothing. except that instead of the 10-20 second pause at the summit of the ride, we had stopped for well over a minute. and then it became 5 minutes. and thats when we started to fucking panic. i also have a fear of heights, but i was sitting in the middle and felt protected by my two friends. at first, we just talked amongst ourselves, contemplating which restaurant to eat lunch at. there was this feeling that we were all trying hard not to think about what was happening around us. we all held hands and gripped each other tightly. and then felt the ride falter slightly. our seat dropped maybe 5-10 feet, and then jerked in the air, and swung slightly, creaking and groaning immensely. we also heard 2 or 3 loud metallic sounds from somewhere in the ride, maybe in the giant pole.
    all 3 of us at the time had started to sob, and if i could sum the feeling up into one word, it would be helpless. there was nothing we could possibly do except tremble and close our eyes as we literally thought we were about to drop to our deaths. the braver friend, who was sat on my right, was trying to make us laugh, saying that it was a fun memory to have, but i remember just being hysterical. she kept her eyes open and said that she could see people rushing to the base of the ride, possibly trying to figure out what the hell was going on. i remember although she was upbeat, her hand was shaking in mine. she also had a phone on her, even wrote a short note on her phone, or a message, explaining that we loved our families and that we died in the comfort of our best friends, and that we weren't afraid. (which was a fucking lie lol.)
    it was probably one of the most terrifying 40 minutes of my entire life. i remember the second my feet touched the ground, i felt like it was the first time breathing in eternity. i remember feeling like i never wanted to be suspended in the air ever again. they had to get medical personnel because my other friend had actually passed out due to the panic and the fear, and banged her head on the metal safety bar which was on our laps, and had a concussion. six flags never detailed to us what the hell had happened on that ride, but i saw that a mechanic had opened this giant hatch on the pole, and you could see all the wiring and stuff inside of it. the hatch itself looked rusted, and the wiring looked old.
    to this day, whenever i recall the experience, i wince, and shiver, imagining what could have gone wrong if the ride had snapped completely. it worsened my fear of heights and i actually would describe the experience as traumatic. i can't imagine what that poor girl must have felt in that moment when the ride dropped and her legs were severed. it must have been horror, immense panic, hysteria, and just this deep feeling of helplessness.
    i hate amusement parks to this day. i hope nothing like this happens ever again, to anyone. i hope amusement parks have routine checks to maintain and ensure the safety and integrity of each and every ride. please stay safe everyone. also, always trust your gut instinct. if we had just trusted our friend who said she had a bad feeling, i probably wouldn't start shaking every time i go to an amusement park. listen to the people you go with. if they don't want to, don't force, or push them to. and if a ride LOOKS old, or doesn't look particularly safe, just don't go on it. it's that simple. yes, you might feel excitement and exhilheration for the 2 minutes you're on the ride, but if something does go wrong, like for that poor girl with her legs severed, you will suffer for a LIFETIME. just be wary of the choices you make. i feel extremely EXTREMELY lucky that all 3 of us were able to come out of the experience unscathed physically, and it actually, in a weird way strengthened our friendship. please everyone, just stay safe.

    Honestly, having worked at an amusement park for years as a kid, they couldn't have done much more than that. They must have been 16-18, and generally the instruction they're given in their jobs is a general daily checklist, a breakdown of how to run the ride when they're hired, and a list of numbers to call. What they would have been told to do in a situation like that is stop the ride the second they could and then call a manager to help with the next part. It likely wouldn't even be considered their responsibility to check the cables, it would be maintenance or a higher up. If anything, I think the only thing they could really be faulted on was calling the main office before stopping the ride. They don't give kids much agency handling these kinds of emergencies for legal reasons.

    • @ambrosiality
      @ambrosiality 4 ปีที่แล้ว +88

      i watched a video about this recently and it said that the person at controls called management instead of pressing the emeegency stop button and then when all of it happened, ran away from the scene instead of heloing the victim. • @PersonOfRandomnesss
      @PersonOfRandomnesss 4 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      Six Flags had their maintenance use (iirc) corn starch on the cable, instead of lubricating it, because apparently they had issues with slippages. This wore down the cable a lot, a cable thinner than what they should have used.

    If I remember correctly, the cables for the Superman Tower of Power were either too short or too thin and were not lubricated properly, meaning it wasn't just the operators' faults. Plus, the operators were under aged, and had most likely never been in such a situation, so they did not know what to do. It's awful for everyone in that situation, including the operators, because it seems like they didn't know such a thing would happen, and it'll probably haunt them. Before the issue was put into the operators' hands, it was the maintenance's work, and they did not take care of the cables properly and used equipment incorrectly.

    • @KlutzyNinjaKitty
      @KlutzyNinjaKitty 4 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      Thank you for pointing this out! Of course, the workers should have stopped the ride the moment they heard snapping and displeased screams, but ultimately they’re just the guys who buckle people in and press the buttons. It’s easier to blame them because they’re the first faces you see, but anyone could have been in that scenario. Like you said, it’s not the operator’s job to keep the ride in tip-top shape. It’s maintenance’s job, and they should share the blame.

      But how did cables sever her feet? This story confuses me so much

    • @KlutzyNinjaKitty
      @KlutzyNinjaKitty 4 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Celestite Butterfly 💜 - It’s hard to explain without a visual example. But, basically, the cable was likely wrapped around the girl’s foot once or twice. Since the ride’s one of those dropping rides, there’s a lot of force and weight with the ride’s heavy machinery being pulled down by gravity. That force would pull at the cable strong and quick, making it taut and snap into a straight line. Human flesh and bone is significantly weaker compared to metal cables and physics, so there was no way that girl’s feet would have stopped the cable from going taut like that. Hence why it just cut through her leg completely. (Idk if that makes sense. It’d be easier if I had some string or something, lol)

    • @Gatorade69
      @Gatorade69 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@esstan7720 I bet they tried cutting corners to save money on the ride. Big corporations only care about money.
      However I think the blame can be spread out to the manufacturers who most likely cut corners in building of the ride, the maintenace workers who failed to properly maintain the ride or who signed off on it being safe when it was not and the ride operater who should have stopped the ride instantly.

While it probably is true there are a higher amount of crimes done towards them, as a lot of Native Americans have below average incomes, live in small relatively compact communities and may be seen as less well integrated into mainstream culture due to their higher likelihood of a rural background. "almost every Native American person has a close female relative who has gone missing, whether it be a grandmother, cousin, or mother or sister," sounds almost absurd.

      @@RF-pj4bs Believe it or not, this person is 100% correct. As a Native American, my relatives have all been subjected to treatment akin to the crime depicted in the video - most of which being female. The government, not in just America, have all disregarded cases of abuse and murders just because of the victim being a Native. It's especially worse if they're a woman. Murder, rape, harassment, name it and it's happened.
      It isn't absurd. It's the truth - just take the California Eugenics Program as an example. Some distant relatives of mine all fell victim to the U.S. Government's racism and lust for power - and lust for vulnerable women.

    Back in 2013-2014 Shodan was a very popular website. They had lists of unsecured cameras. I can bet this “hacker” just went onto that website and chose from their catalog.

    I feel bad for both the victim and the 13 year old in that last story. The poor girl was most likely groomed into doing these things thinking it was normal/okay, which then lead to an innocent womans death

      jmonkey106 another horrific case, I’ve always related the two in my head too. I also have always linked it to Kelly Anne Bates which is much closer to home and even scarier because her murderer had a sickening pattern of extreme abusive behavior towards younger girls.

    I know Amber's case very well
    When it comes to cases involving indigenous people in Canada, there is a lack of effort with law enforcement and even their own reserve law keepers. Very tragic.
