This car still looks like one of the newest, nicest-looking vehicles on the street even to this day. 2000s had a lot of gems that aged like fine wine.

Ikr? I love the Ws6s from this era, too. And these C5s are probably my favorite Corvettes after the C2s. They are just so sleek and understated. The body lines on them come together really well without screaming at you or being flamboyant (that's what Trans Ams are for lol).

I’ve always liked the C5 corvette. Even though it’s a 2003 it’s still a very great looking car in my opinion.

Me too. Well, my favorite late-model Vettes. I actually like the C2 styling the best, followed by the C5, then the C6.

This car will be one large and continually rolling repair bill.

This specific car has multiple things wrong with it that the dealer is unwilling to repair. Very unhappy with Chevrolet of Naperville.

What things can go wrong with the 03 Vette that dealer doesn’t disclose and/or won’t repair?

90% of corvettes are automatic, what a shame

I mean Corvettes are expensive, normally older people are the one with money. It was normally bought by people as end of working life gift to oneself. After working 40 years I bought a new one, 2016 C7, and it mostly sits in garage with 1,500 miles so far. I like to clean it amd drink a glass of wine amd play music in my garage. I hope one day you get your desires.

I mean, why do people hate autos so much? Especially paired with an LS1? Just put a stall converter in it and they're actually faster than the manuals. LS1s love a stalled automatic. They're a blast to drive, too. The torque converter: an amazing piece of technology.
And paulm6481 is right, you see more manuals in Camaros and Trans Ams because Corvettes cater to an older audience that have slowed down enough to appreciate the convenience of an auto over the zest of a manual. If you look at late-model Corvettes for sale, it seems like there's 20 autos to 1 manual. But, I'm telling ya, a 3,600 rpm stall will make that Corvette a monster, even with a stock motor.
