The compressor on my 1999, Silverado lasted 25 years. It was a Delphi. Original equipment. I just changed it out with the same Murray that you had bought. So far so good very cold AC. I did replace the accumulator. And the entire kit cost me $290 at O’Reilly auto parts. my uncle owns a shop so I got shot price for the parts and me and him did it ourselves over this past weekend. It’s a pain in the ass on the older models.

That’s amazing your compressor lasted 25 years! They don’t make them like they use to that’s for sure🤣. Thanks for checking out the video and congrats on your successful install 🤙🏼

Great video! My 2014 Silverado A/C compressor just seized up on me and burnt the belt. Found your video and seen it doesn’t look too hard to diy. Thanks for the Info!

@jeremygreene6192 - it really isn’t that difficult, but what’s important it evacuating the refrigerant from the system. NEVER remove parts/hoses/connections if there are contents under pressure… LMK how it goes! Thanks for checking out the video and don’t of forget to like and subscribe 🤙🏼

aloha braddah jeff, about to tear into my 2015 AGAIN for no AC lol. its on its 3rd condenser (two under warranty, old design) and I currently have the newer design with the tabs that doesnt appear to be leaking at the usual spot. been going almost 4 years strong. I dont have any visible leaks and my compressor belt is still on, but I'm betting its the compressor spitting out oil and refrigerant. appreciate you taking the time to make these videos for reference!!!

Mahalo Braddah🤙🏼. So check your inspection ports for leaks. Mine were leaking so I replaced the cold side hose… You can also ad leak detection dye to find the leak… Thanks for checking out the video! No fo’get to subscribe🤙🏼
