Never ending list of sadness...with some bright spots highlighted with your ongoing commentary. With current grain prices, not promising to be a year of huge profits. Guess we'll have to make do and preserve what is in working condition!!! As my wife used to say regarding parts prices "is it made of gold" LOL

I agree. I'd really like to see some engine overhaul videos too. I know Chris did some during the winter but I'm way behind on his videos.

I was surprised you had bad luck with decka batteries.
I just got the new tires put on the front of my Super 88 and they weren't even going flat yet. Don't worry, sadness found me and I had to find a new wheel for the one to make it more better😂
my 1755 came to me with just a flat plate and a bungee
I’d say about 90% of them you find out in the wild these days just have that bungee cord set up 🤣

I'd try a 4DLT battery in the old girl. I bet it would get you pretty close to the length and width of the double battery setup.
Thanks for the video, It's a shame the 12v version of those batteries for the other tractor are only half the cranking amps of the 6v ones you have, they'd fit right in but I'd bet it wouldn't start very well when the sun went behind the clouds. When i do wet sleeves during rebuilds I made a puller with a thick washer to go in the bottom of the sleeve then a 1" ready rod and a large pipe with a cross bar to pull them from the top. The last one I did was a 466 in a grain truck, i got fed up of getting in and out of the cab on my own, so made a new puller with the pull washer on a hinge so it dropped down the bore from the top and when the crank journal was in the right place it would hinge flat and center in the bottom of the sleeve and pull up without getting under the truck, i kinda wish I'd done it before that job it worked so well. To be honest I hate in frames with a passion it's the most half assed way there is to do a motor and get covered in oil and grease , then find 3 weeks later a rear seal or clutch goes out and you're back there again anyway. Perhaps try using a floor jack and some piece of wood (4x4) to push the sleeves out? Keep up the good work!
Batteries ? 😁 Tractor supply . 6 or 12 ? two 12 volt in paralel will fit and may cost less . great video thanks

Question.... is there someone that can redo the nameplate and model numbers on those 4 number olivers and look like brand new? My 1600 looks brown not clover white... I wanna make it look back to new
I just sand them off and repaint them, and then order a new set of decals. You can try to clean them up with some light sanding and metal polish but you’ll probably end up wearing most of the decal off by the time you’re satisfied with the color.
