So I ended up installing electronic valve's on the outside dual exhaust tips, fabricated some silencers and welded into inside exhaust tips. Did it ever make a difference sound with outside valves closed.
@911Dreda11 A multitude of muffers exist but the whole point of a muffler is to "muffle" the exhaust, usually send the gas through a baffle system which quiets the car down, or usually does, some poor quality mufflers will just make things very loud, but thats ok if you have a track car, not so good if you are looking at a defect with the cops. Which is why the varex is perfect, i'm ordering the twin tips, they look stock and it will sound great under WOT and like a stock car with the valve .

True, here you can have a cutout only if its bolted closed when operated on the street. It must be bolted and not electronic or cable activated. It must also withstand full throttle operation without leaking or popping loose. Also, your vehicles sound cannot surpass 110 Decibels at peak.
The only thing a straight six will beat a V8 in, is revs. It will inherently rev higher due to perfect weight balance across the cylinders, whereas the V8 has a slight imbalance, which makes that awesome V8 sound.

+sskkuuddrraa you fail to see the seperate layers in the whole chamber allowing constant exhaust flow. Quit acting like you know what you're talking about, dumbass.
Now what i think would be really cool and is if they didn't use a remote to control it but have a switch hidden away somewhere or turn the lighter into the controller (turn it one way to open and the other to close) and then then should powder coat the butterfly black and put it deeper in the muffler so that it's harder to see. Thats just what i think... would be nice if i got something for telling them about this if they use it.
i debadged my 2015 mustang gt performance but the engine gives itself away in revs. this thing is awsome it'll sound weak and then fully open the valve when someone tries to make me look bad would be fun maybe even make it a sleeper. I had the front Pony badge replace the back gt logo. it looks like an ecoboost premium lol
also... couldnt get this in the states, had to pay $120 shipping from Aus, plus installation this muffler set me back $500 USD. it doesn't whistle when not under pressure (like the video shows with the car in neutral).it whistles because the butterfly is right in the middle of the air passage way creating an obstruction which creates the whistle sound!!
I think you people are missing the point of this muffler. It's a nice add on for tuned cars like subies and evos that don't want a fix it ticket on a daily commute.
i don't think so.. I don't think either have a BOV, just an internal wastegate. A BOV releases pressure into the engine bay (so you'd hear it at the same frequency regardless of exhaust) where-as a wastegate dumps the pressure into the exhaust itself, so by definition the volume of the wastegate would be reduced when you close the butterfly valve on the varex.. and that's exactly what happens
When I was young, I loved it, now that I am older, I dont always want my car very loud, it is nice to be able to switch it.
let me rephrase some drivers want the performance of a large diameter exhaust but dont always want the cops

rice rice babby
Rice rice baby
also... couldnt get this in the states, had to pay $120 shipping from Aus, plus installation this muffler set me back $500 USD.
it doesn't whistle when not under pressure (like the video shows with the car in neutral).it whistles because the butterfly is right in the middle of the air passage way creating an obstruction which creates the whistle sound!!
Which one is more high flow , the canon or oval ??
I think you people are missing the point of this muffler. It's a nice add on for tuned cars like subies and evos that don't want a fix it ticket on a daily commute.
Where does the gases get redirected when the buttlerfly is closed?
i don't think so.. I don't think either have a BOV, just an internal wastegate. A BOV releases pressure into the engine bay (so you'd hear it at the same frequency regardless of exhaust) where-as a wastegate dumps the pressure into the exhaust itself, so by definition the volume of the wastegate would be reduced when you close the butterfly valve on the varex.. and that's exactly what happens
what about antilag, 2step and other backfires and crackles?
yea, because that's what you want to do put a lot of back pressure behind a turbo. turbos like to breath free.
MECHANICAL STIG?
