I'm into the car 6k. 3k for car 2400 for motor and 600$ in parts. When i blew timing belt I looked for another 2010 audi a3 wagon and found one with 212k same miles as mine they wanted 6k for it. A 2010 with 100k miles on motor they wanted 10k for it. So I'm 6k into a car with 220k on body and tranny but now about 96k on motor. If I went to local shop for all my parts id be into the car easily 16k
The reason an engine has oil pressure is because there is excess oil that the engine doesn't need to run smoothly. If there wasn't enough it would be reading zero. At idle 30 psi is great

Isn't 15 psi normal at operating temp? I know many people with Chevy's and GMs (LS V8s) idle at 5 psi and the car was brand new and they got over 200K miles and engine still running strong but we all know LS engines are the best
