Hi Gayle, My husband went fishing for the weekend so Ive spent the entire time in my craft room. I finished LGB christmas books for my kids and one for my sister. I binge watched your ephemera playlist while working. Kept stopping my projects to grab scrap paper and make something new with you. thanks for spending the weekend with me, it felt like we were working on opposite sides of the same table having a great conversation.

Don’t worry about the tree guys, they are extremely talented professionals. It’s exciting, enjoy the process. I love the sound of the saws, the smell of the cut wood, and the ground rumbling thud of that first section to come down. Although I am always sorry to see a tree come down, I know it is necessary for safety. As you can probably tell, my dad was a logger. Enjoy it, take a deep breath and take in the smell. Save a piece of the wood and make it into an ornament or something. Get with it girl! Barb

My friend owns a tree removal business, and they take them down in pieces and each piece is tied to a rope that they lower it down with, when there’s houses. So no need to stress Gayle it will be ok, and it’s actually fun to watch. Very safe. I love your book page pockets, great ideas there. Hugs

i read a few comments and am glad to know the tree cutting went well! i'm the same way gayle, i was so worried one of the roofers would topple off when we had a new roof put on a few years ago. if we ever need that done again-i am leaving for the day. pounding/hammering, footsteps, ladders outside the windows with guys going up and down, shingles being tossed all over. geesh! i get so nervous whenever hubby is up on a ladder/our roof. a few times when i've walked outside and saw him up on the highest part of the roof-painting trim-i burst into tears! then yelled at him to get down! (he tells me, "go back inside-i'll be ok) these guys! i'm glad it all went well at the Agostinelli home today! love the leaf pieces! enjoy your son/family visit and tfs and inspiring me. hugs

I wanted to share a tutorial i recently watched from Donna at Junk Journal Ideas (hope it's ok) she shows how she uses 1 double page from a book or larger piece of paper and makes pockets/tuck spots just by folding it up a certain way. i had to stop and try it half way thru, it's a great way to use pages from larger books, maps, etc here's the link

Haha, you make me laugh! I would have to be out there to watch or I would go crazy with worry. In my old house we had 2 huge old oaks and one had limbs growing close to the house and we had to have a crew come out to cut them out and I couldn't stay inside, I was afraid that a limb would come through the roof as they were cutting. Unfortunately a storm took the other one out several years later but it fell away from the house.
I need to go back and rewatch when you made the little snippets, I just love them.

I've had great luck peeling the plastic off of inexpensive silk foliage. I use the greenery on greeting cards, and have even experimented with inking the leaves to stamp on paper. We had a huge maple taken down in our yard a year ago. along with some smaller out-of-control trees. I watched the whole time (two days' worth). I was worried for the workmen and was praying for them the whole time. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw their trucks pull away from the house. When the crew chief came back the next day to present the invoice, he said that he had slipped and broke a rib when he was unloading his equipment back at the shop. We agreed I had stopped praying too soon!

Love the leaf snippets. I like to challenge myself when watching craft with me videos to see if I can come up with variations on the items being made. Todays thought was not terribly original, just that some pockets could be tucks instead. I get it about gas vs wood fires. It reminds me of an interfaith couple I know: the Christian was more than willing to do an artificial tree, bt the Jew said if they were to gave one, it had to be the whole shebang...real tree with scent, watering it, decorating it....the whole 9 yards.

    I totally understand the
need to hide sometimes when there are 'home projects' happening around you. I
live with 'home improvement projects' 24/7. I'm talking major projects,
sometimes with commercial machinery. After 30+ years with my hubby, I have
learned to accept them (recently) ...but have not learned how to 'not stress'
over them. This is my home. Not a commercial construction site. I can tell you
that I still leave or hide during certain events involving major machinery and
lots of workers. Although, I will also tell you that I make a point of making a
homemade lunch for every worker that comes to my home, every day they are here,
no matter how long the project takes to complete. And I insist that they sit down
and 'take a lunch’ They are so used to working straight through
or taking 10 minutes to wolf down a sandwich and go back to work but I want
them to know that if they are working in my home, they are appreciated. Sorry....I
know this has nothing to do with crafting - . hahahh.... (I watch all of your videos) just wanted to share and tell you I totally
    understand the need to 'hide'.

Hey Gayle! Well, I did watch yesterday's video during my free time at the school. I was the gym teacher. After, I came home and generally, will get on my own computer to watch again and type something to you, but I fell asleep. I'm still feeling sick and yesterday it all started to flare up again. I just couldn't keep my eyes opened. So, here I am today, after another day of being the gym teacher.
I am so sorry you weren't feeling too good yesterday after hearing about news from your friend. I just hope everything is going to be okay. I am saying some prayers for you and your friend on this.
The little Fall thingies are really adorable. What a nice pop of color and so easy, too.
So, I was viewing some other videos and found this series that I wanted to share from Emsplace. They are on eco-dying paper by heat pressing (either using a heat press or an iron). Em's eco-dyes are just wonderful, so I thought you might be interested if you haven't seen her work already. She also does flower pressing (if you go to her site, she has lots of videos on that, too). But really, I was amazed at her results using alum paper and heat pressing. She uses teflon sheets to put the alum paper between to press. The details on her prints are amazing: th-cam.com/users/emsgallerysearch?query=eco+dye
She also does a video on preparing paper with the alum before pressing. She also has an Etsy site and does sell digitals of both her pressed flowers and eco-prints: www.etsy.com/shop/emsplacegifts
Well, it looks like you are making some wonderful things with the book pages. I skimmed through, but need to get to sleep. Still not feeling well. I will be a business teacher at the High School tomorrow. I'm thinking that will be more of a sitting day...though, not sure...never know if the teacher will actually have me teach or just hand out an assignment for the students to do on their own... If it's the latter, I will watch the rest of this and your next video. Have a great Wednesday! God Bless! Sue

Yes the bundles sold out Sunday afternoon. So sorry you missed them! I do have a rotary cutter and mat from my old quilting days. 😁❤️

These men! My husband has been told he can no longer climb up on the roof of the SECOND story to check on the fireplace flashing (it was leaking a couple of years ago) and he made it up with a hodge podge of ladder configurations so he could get up there! Horrified me! We've just had a new roof put on last year, so there shouldn't be any more things calling him up there. I hope everything went well with the tree removal and that you're breathing a little easier now.
