It IS wonderful watching the grands succeed! Their faces light up! Mine play basketball now, seasonally baseball, tag football. I love watching them and my 2 grandsons are very competitive and LOVE watching them win. But even when they lose, they are very gracious. I absolutely LOVE watching your videos on youtube! These are what get me through the day on my job. My job is depressing and unhappy, but watching you makes me feel SO much better! Thank you!
Hi Gayle! I was in two different places today. Half the day was being the Art teacher at the High School. She was there when I got there (she had meetings) and really encourages me to be creative while I'm there. The students are in the advanced classes, so really easy to be there. So, I watched you do the faux envelope and made one, too. Fun! Congrats to your Granddaughter's team for winning! Yeah! Yes, it is so much fun to watch the Grandkids do well at the things they do. When mine were younger, I lived nearby and was always going to things they were in. But now, I'm quite a bit away from them and I do miss going to their events. Though, last year we did get to see two of my grandson's dance recital. Bennie is the only boy in his ballet class and boy were they all just the cutest. My grandson, Fred, does tap and actually got pretty good. I was impressed. My Grandson, Charlie, is in Cross Country and has ended up being one of the top runners in the eighth grade. In the past few years, he's been getting faster and faster. There was another boy on his team that was faster than him and he's never been able to beat him. He kept telling my daughter that the boy was just too good. My daughter has been encouraging him to override this idea that he can never pass this boy up. He went to his State meet and realized that he could probably go faster than these other boys and he ended up speeding himself up and placing fairly well. But then, a week later, at his last meet for the season, which was a few weeks ago, he ended up 1st place out of like 200 boys running. My daughter said it was the only meet she couldn't go to and Charlie came home and didn't even say anything until she asked him. And then he acted all humble about the whole thing. He's my first grandson and I am so very proud of him, as well as all my other grandkids, of which we have 7 altogether. All of which are amazing with their talents! Oh, my gosh, Gayle, I am not at all a make-up person. I have worn foundation and blush, but I want it to look as natural as I can. I don't even like how mascara feels on my eyes and only will wear it every now and again. And that means years. But the past few years, I haven't been wearing anything. Gotta love old books for their clean and wholesome nature! There's just so much smuttiness anymore in everything. Even television...all the things that's there to watch with all these channels and apps and we spent a good half hour trying to find something to watch, because most isn't worth the time due to the amount of violence or language. Or both! It's just too much anymore! Nice book page tag pocket and tag. Well, it's past bedtime and tomorrow, I'm the English teacher. Another high school job, which has really been giving me a nice break from elementary. Well, until your next video. Have a really great Friday! God Bless! Sue
I absolutely love watching you make all of your ephemera and tags and journals. I sometimes feel like a total rookie because I don’t have all the pretty papers and stamps to create with. I usually just have to draw whatever it is that I want to add to a piece. I’m always looking forward to your next video!! 😍
I'm loving your ephemera series. My sister went to Paris for a couple weeks and I tasked her with collecting ephemera for me. I just received a wonderful package filled with maps, little receipts, museum and concert brochures and tickets and a couple of postcards. Can't wait to start making some Gayle-ephemera and also using some of it for signature pages in a journal. thanks for your inspiration.
Oh wow!! What a blessinf! Lots of fun Paris themed travel papers stamps and digis etc out there right now....how will you ever pick one?? Have you one in mind?? Enguiring minds wanna know!!
@@impalamama7302 Not sure yet. I'm still looking at it over and over. I've only made one tiny journal so far so I'm very new to this but I get so inspired by Gayle. My sister got her husband involved in the search too - neither of them really knew what I was looking for but they did such a great job. I know I will make some tags, journal cards and collage.

Came across your videos and really enjoy watching you design and work. I’m just beginning to try my hand at making journals and hopefully we’ll be able to make a few for Christmas of 2020. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us. 🥰
I am always a day late and a dollar short. So I will be one of those who miss out on your yummy sales. I enjoy from afar. No grudges to any who actually win out. I am genuinely happy for others! Hi Gayle! I'm watching this video from our campground in Zion. It's so beautiful here. Anyway, we've been camping in Utah's National Parks for the last 2 weeks so my video watching has been nile. I love the journal envelop. I've been making journal cards & pockets, but I'll have to try making some of these fun journal envelopes when we get home in a week. Hope all is well in Montana! -Michell
Gayle, you are so fun to watch. I am so familiar with your voice that I can fall asleep each night watching you and then have to go back and re-watch because I don't want to miss anything. I love your creative eye and showing us exactly how to do things or you learning something new and bringing us on the journey. Thanks again for making this your retirement. Danette

I admire how straight you can cut with scissors!! My ‘freehand’ cutting is always wonky 😝 I have a question about book pages.... I have some children’s books from the 1800’s that were literally falling apart and in a big plastic bag when I rescued them at a tag sale. I got them with the intention of scanning them in to ‘preserve’ the book digitally- the pages are crumbling. Is paper in that bad of condition ok to glue down to cardstock?? I’m a big fan and would love some guidance on this. Thanks!!
Oh I would think so! Gluing it to cardstock might even preserve it if you use a good glue like Uhu. ❤️
How did the tree cutting go? We had several tall pines cut down that were too close to the house and worrisome in storms.
Linda Bounds I have redwoods around my house, I don’t know why 25 years ago when I moved in that I thought that was a good idea. I had to have three removed. What was interesting when the arborist came out was I have a really large one close to the house and I was worried about it because it’s right by my bedroom and it could kill me in the night. She said that it’s so close and when the tree starts falling it starts falling really slowly so it would just slowly fall into the side of the house and then probably just slide down the side so that made me feel a little bit better than it wouldn’t just come crashing through because it couldn’t build up enough momentum.

I know Gayle. I was "fighting" with my printer this morning. It's always something for us to deal with. TFS
Hey Gayle. I've noticed you use fabritac or glitter glue for fabric. Does it matter? Or is there a reason for the choice ? TY Loves
Art glitter glue has a very fine line. When I need that, it’s my choice. ❤️
I can’t sew paper on my machine, the needle always hits the plate, any suggestions?
Hmm, that sounds like something that needs to be looked at by the repair shop! The needle should go right where it does on fabric. ❤️
Her messy sewing is my very best sewing. I can’t sew a straight line to save me!
I love your videos but the one I watched yesterday, you kept talking about a tree removal. How did it go? 😊 that is so scary when it’s close to your house.
Trees are gone. House still standing! 😁👍❤️
