My hubby falls asleep, too, when we're watching TV. I have watched Virgin River and really liked it. It definitely is geared more toward an audience of women. My hubby only watched a few episodes and I watched the rest on my own. I really like watching Annette O'Toole and Tim Matheson in this. Good roles for them to play. And the ending has me looking forward to Season 2. It's nice seeing you do regular ephemera once again. And regular journals coming up! I am behind still, but will catch up! Absolutely loved making these flips, Gayle. 😍 I made the first one using your example and the second I put the papers and ink on before stitching on the fabric topper. I found this a lot less fiddly but I forgot to cut the pockets too, so I used my paper trimmer, which solved that little oversight.👍😉

Love your Jimmy Joe stories - a new puppy is a joy and a challenge but they give so much pleasure. I watched Virgin River also and really liked it. I read that they have filmed a second season but it won't be out until September.

Still watching all these and taking notes. I took all my stamps off the wood blocks and store them on plastic sheets in zip lock bags and store with all my other stamps. Takes a lot less room. I covered a box with scrapbook paper with a tall back and store them in it. I need to make another box. The stamps are in there tight.
Gayle, when you were working on the long piece your granddaughter did, with the blue, I was sending all of my mental power for you to look at your glue book and see that nifty little glue motif at the beginning of that chapter! :-)

Love using up scraps, I find I will find something that I really liked but forgot all about. I really enjoyed the series Virgin River as well, it started as a book series by I believe it was Robin Carr (?) I think...I may read it. Need something to pull me in until the next Outlander book comes out in October, I will have finished my re-read of the series before then. I made two waterfall’s, one I’m going to turn upside down and use as pockets. Would a harness work on Jimmy Joe instead of a collar around his neck, the leash hook would be on top. I brought a Velcro wrapped harness off of Amazon, pet stores might have them too. Easy to put on. 👍❄️❄️❄️
Love watching your Videos and love playing along as well. But I have been confined to my Bedroom because I have Whooping Cough, and can not get to my craft space because it is in the dinning room. Watched your 10 things to do while watching TV and tried some but the coughing made it hard to do. So all I can do is watch Videos , Thanks for all that you share with us.

I think when we had a puppy many years ago, we would take her water dish up to limit how much she drank before bedtime... Yes! Hope on Virgin River is hoot! She sure causing problems meddling! Not as bad as Connie though...that woman, oh my gosh!! Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next season too! Yes, we’ve been not giving Jimmy any water after dinner. Just like the kids when we were potty training...Lol!! He’s been doing well. Hubby gets up with him in the night as he gets up for himself anyway! I saw on a training video that the rule of thumb is an hour for every month old they are plus one. So Jimmy is two months old, so he can go three hours before having to go. So by the time he’s six months, he should be able to go all night. It really is like having a baby again!! Love him to bits though!!! Hugs, my friend! ❤️

I know you are having fun with Jimmy Joe. If I can offer a suggestion....crate games are a great way to teach a puppy not only to like his crate but to WANT to go in his crate. You can find ways to play crate games on TH-cam....games are so much more fun than trying to train!!!

I was watching you last night in bed and the Internet went out so of course I decided I might as well just go to sleep so I tell Alexa to turn off the bedroom light but of course she wouldn’t do it with Internet out so I’m laying there all warm and cozy and cuddly trying to decide if I should get up and turn the light off or just go to sleep with the light on or just wait until the Internet came back on. Talk about first world problems! 🥴 I went to sleep with the covers over my head and the light on and I woke up a little while later the Internet was back on so she could turn off the light, man I’m lazy. 😬

I had to roll my eyes when you said hubby and dog were both asleep in front of tv.....mine almost always falls asleep in front of tv, and I have TWO dogs, also sound asleep every night....🙄🐶🐶. So I a,often watching shows and working on “sittin in front of tv” work, the only one awake! I so know that one. LOL Always a good day when you get stuff completed! Gayle, I am also in puppy training mode. Charlie is 13 weeks old and more challenging than his 20 month older brother was as a puppy. House training in winter is NOT a piece of cake, but he is starting to get it. A word about the spray to deter furniture chewing, in case you aren't aware. It has to be sprayed everyday for effectiveness. That said, however, the method is not full proof. Ask me how I know....... Best puppy wishes to you!

Once again I wasn't paying attention to the time. I was preparing my pot of homemade Ham Bean Soup. I was rinsing my dry beans, slicing my potatoes and my eggs. So all done now, now I can relax with my favorite crafter and my coffee. Life is great. Hugs 💕❤😘

Try leaving the tv on or some music on so he can hear things around him and maybe he won’t think he is completely alone. As far as the potty training, If your home, just start taking him out very 1 1/2 -2 hrs and especially after he eats. He’ll finally get the idea.

Sometimes when the piece, journal or project call for it. But as you can tell Vintage Photo is my fav. Sometimes I’ll do a color then edge it with Vintage Photo and that looks cool too! ❤️

Jimmy Joe is so used to having his ‘pack’ around him! I’ll be glad when he’s leash trained so that he can go with hubby! They say to leave a short leash on them when they’re just playing in the house so they get used to it. I don’t really know if that works though. I think that they just have to get used to it. Our doxie mix didn’t take long to train. Our Yorkie (who was 11 when we adopted) does great on his leash. He actually doesn’t need a leash as he is never more than a step away from me anyway. Lol Great ephemera finishes! Thank you for sharing!

When I first started out I did 't need much storage space for almost everything, but I think I need to consider better and organised storage for those objects that don't make it into whatever the current work is...the concertina folders from the other day look like a good idea...although not for kit/paper as I mostly make my own but maybe for colours or other...
Thanks for the video Gayle. You are gonna have a hard time leaving Jimmy Joe behind I am guessing, when you go for creativation. Leave Jimmy but meeting Timmy. I do hope you be able to film some there.

Does anyone else have alot of trouble switching between seasons and holidays!! I just get into the swing of Christmas and BAM along comes Valentines!!! I have such an issue with that! lol
We couldn't kennel our dog and be home either. Because she could smell or hear us still being home. She did fine if we left and went to the store. We even had a neighbor come over and stand out side s house to listen if she was crying and or barking while we were gone. She never did. But boy if we were home she wanted to be out of that kennel. She was fine at night if we went were going to bed being in the kennel. Matter a fact she would sit by the stairs that went to the kennel and our bedroom of it was our bedtime time and was still watching TV a little bit longer then normal. Jimmy Jo sounds like he is loveing his new owners and just want to be were you all are at. Never heard of that spray Sour Apple. But will keep it in mind for my family and friends if they get a new puppy.
So ok i cut very badly. I use a guillotine style cutter. I made some very harsh cuts and now my pages are like an inch inside the cover. Is that ok? I know now what im doing wrong. Im using too many pages at once when im cutting. So do you think my pages being a bit deeper into the covers is ok? I mean i dont mind how it looks and im not selling them so i think if i find the look fine why cant i use them? I had a very dog chewed the paper edge look goin on so i had to keep choppin. Lo. I'm only partly through the video so far, but I had a random thought. Maybe it's all your bunny stories, but I'm kind of surprised you don't have cut-out bunnies in your animal ephemera folder. My half-asleep brain went something like, "That's a cute idea to stick some birds and butterflies on those journal cards. Goes great with the window ephemera. Mrs. Gayle should put a bunny on one since she sees bunnies outside her window all the time. (Then you opened up your ephemera folder.) Wait... there aren't any bunnies in there! Why aren't there bunnies in there?!" Lol had to share. I better finish this tea and video so I can think properly today.

Find a short lead and let Jimmy Joe drag it around the house with him but only while you are there he will get used to it.... Gayle what weight card stock did u use for your ephemera folders please....

Once again I wasn't paying attention to the time. I was preparing my pot of homemade Ham Bean Soup. I was rinsing my dry beans, slicing my potatoes and my eggs. So all done now, now I can relax with my favorite crafter and my coffee. Life is great. Hugs 💕❤😘

I’m making lots if ephemera to put in book journals.. so thanks for showing easy ways...My hubby & I walk 4 miles a day,we have no pets cause of what your going through...we feel sorry for dogs close to Denver where we live,people don’t walk them....so sad...train ,train, train......good luck....Outlander series is great to watch also...

Try leaving the tv on or some music on so he can hear things around him and maybe he won’t think he is completely alone. As far as the potty training, If your home, just start taking him out very 1 1/2 -2 hrs and especially after he eats. He’ll finally get the idea.

Jimmy Joe is so used to having his ‘pack’ around him! I’ll be glad when he’s leash trained so that he can go with hubby! They say to leave a short leash on them when they’re just playing in the house so they get used to it. I don’t really know if that works though. I think that they just have to get used to it. Our doxie mix didn’t take long to train. Our Yorkie (who was 11 when we adopted) does great on his leash. He actually doesn’t need a leash as he is never more than a step away from me anyway. Lol

When I first started out I did 't need much storage space for almost everything, but I think I need to consider better and organised storage for those objects that don't make it into whatever the current work is...the concertina folders from the other day look like a good idea...although not for kit/paper as I mostly make my own but maybe for colours or other...

Yes! I use scotch tape to peel the two layers off before using the decorative part of the napkin. ❤️

We couldn't kennel our dog and be home either. Because she could smell or hear us still being home. She did fine if we left and went to the store. We even had a neighbor come over and stand out side s house to listen if she was crying and or barking while we were gone. She never did. But boy if we were home she wanted to be out of that kennel. She was fine at night if we went were going to bed being in the kennel. Matter a fact she would sit by the stairs that went to the kennel and our bedroom of it was our bedtime time and was still watching TV a little bit longer then normal. Jimmy Jo sounds like he is loveing his new owners and just want to be were you all are at. Never heard of that spray Sour Apple. But will keep it in mind for my family and friends if they get a new puppy.
So ok i cut very badly. I use a guillotine style cutter. I made some very harsh cuts and now my pages are like an inch inside the cover. Is that ok? I know now what im doing wrong. Im using too many pages at once when im cutting. So do you think my pages being a bit deeper into the covers is ok? I mean i dont mind how it looks and im not selling them so i think if i find the look fine why cant i use them? I had a very dog chewed the paper edge look goin on so i had to keep choppin. Lo. Thank so much Gayle. I love your work, your style and the choices you make in so many things in your journals
I think if you like how it looks, go for it! A couple ideas might be to add lace or a ruffle to the page edge if you want to extend it a bit. ❤️

I'm only partly through the video so far, but I had a random thought. Maybe it's all your bunny stories, but I'm kind of surprised you don't have cut-out bunnies in your animal ephemera folder. My half-asleep brain went something like, "That's a cute idea to stick some birds and butterflies on those journal cards. Goes great with the window ephemera. Mrs. Gayle should put a bunny on one since she sees bunnies outside her window all the time. (Then you opened up your ephemera folder.) Wait... there aren't any bunnies in there! Why aren't there bunnies in there?!" Lol had to share. I better finish this tea and video so I can think properly today.

I used scrapbook paper so I’m not sure if the weight. 🥴. The Tim Holtz scrapbook paper is a good weight for the ephemera folios. ❤️
I had trouble hearing you and 50 minutes into the video it went fuzzy. I don't know if it was my computer or the video. I was disappointed I couldn't finish watching.
