LI Extra 517 East w/ FOUR DM30ACs and 13 Cars @ NYP

Long Island Extra 517 heads west out of West Side Yard approaching Track 15 at New York Penn Station with a whopping 4 DM30ACs and 13 C3 BiLevels. The equipment assigned for LIRR train #654 (DM30AC 505/ 5 coaches/ DM30AC 511) suffered problems at West Side Yard during peak hour and had to be rescued. An 8 car train (with DM30ACs 508 & 517) was sent from Jamaica to pick up the train and bring it back to Morris Park Yard for servicing.

Reminds me of a French TGV (two connected) except these are not high speed or streamlined.

Depends on your definition of streamlined. The C3 cars and DM30ACs have innately-similar lines, if only because of the height restrictions in Penn station.
That's more than can be said of most TGV sets, where the power cars have higher and bulkier silhouettes than the coaches and the coach rake has a streamlined fairing at each end to make the transition.
