Had the pleasure to meet Jackson at the Return to Earth showing in Madison, WI by Trek HQ. His voice was about 2 octaves higher then, hahaha. He's such an unbelievable rider... inspiring kid.
He's really good at moving his bike around, wow. He throws that back end around like it's nothing, easily avoiding wet roots and rocks and all that. Super impressive!
@@zGJungle I also said that, but i got so pumped up that i tried it a week ago, my rear tire got caught on top of the log throwing me over the bar slamming my head so hard it ring for a whole minute and my body still hurts as of today and lots of bruises. I gues ill never attempt it. Ill just let the young one do it and ill just enjoy watching it.
Yeah, and without the benefit of a firm take off. I guess that's where the nose bonking comes in handy - at least the log is firm to push on. Beyond my skill level.
That's a crazy way to get over a fallen tree. To bump your front tire off it makes complete sense. Something I would NEVER think of. Thanks again Rèmy for another sick video!!
It’s actually amazing to see how much weight you guys put on the front wheel compare to what they teach on MTB clinics , and it makes totally sense to see you guys doing that it makes me wonder why many coaches or at list the one I’ve been with don’t tell riders to do more of that.
I love it when you're silent following somebody- don't get me wrong, your follow commentary is awesome, but it's also awesome knowing that even you get your limits pushed sometimes!
Ahhh!! sooo good to watch you guys! Jackson is one of my favourite fellow British Columbian rider. Had to watch this twice can’t get enough. Super cool 🤙🏼
Been off the bike for a while due to crazy work schedule and life commitments, but this vid totally inspired me to get back on. Went for a spin today and, although I'm well out of shape, I hit some stuff I would never have had the confidence to do back when I was riding more. The break seems to have done me some good, but also seeing in your vids how you approach the big stuff helped me heaps, even with the little stuff I have the skills (and confidence) to attempt. Back on the horse now for good and cheers for the inspiration!
Everytime I watch Jackson ride I notice how much his stance is more forward bias then rearward, like his attack stance while riding is so aggressive that it looks like his weight is more on the front wheel then most other riders. It reminds me of my years riding dirt bikes (motocross), the technique with dirt bikes is to sit as far forward as possible, basically put your nuts on the gas tank and then squeeze the shrouds between your knees. This gives you better traction, more control, and makes bike handling require less effort as you rely on dynamically shifting your center of gravity around the bike in concert with throttle control to handle the bike rather than counter steering, quick brake checks and body English like you do in MTB
I had the pleasure of watching him ride at joyride 150 in Ontario 4 years ago.... He's all grown up and killing it now as we all knew he would... watch out Seminuk and everyone else....
I can't believe how quick Jackson has grown up seems only yesterday I was looking in Restricted section And come across Come across a rare piece of magic its called Jackson on the DH bike
I don't think he will be quick at World Cup's because it's only his first one he's going to give it a good try though can't wait to see how he copes with fort William and mont st Anna The two Insane tracks in the World Cup That skinny bodies of his will be getting rattled if he don't bulk up on muscle lol
Wow!!...SO SICK!!...I think that footage could be your best Flowy mega fast scene you’ve done! Jackson is going be to be very dangerous in the DH race circuit if he doesn’t crash. Epic riding! its nice to watch you guys having Fun while you shred . 🤟🤟
Crazy to me to see remy get sketched out by this rock face but he gave the most relaxed and stress free commentary while doing the pemberton train gap 😂😂
Awesome vid to watch, it was funny seeing Jackson taking a bunch of sneaky lines, then missed the drop in Remy did and said No Thanks, did not see that coming, Jackson pass on a sketchy line 😂
Epic is the absolute right word. Amazing too 🤟. The kid is a wizard on the bike but I prefer your smooth style. Also would be great to have easier access here in Europe to some of your sponsor's products, after all, by now you surely have a global fan club.
Thanks, you can find most of the products everywhere in the world. The code with GoPro is only for North America, but all the other code work everywhere.
The 38 is designed for handling fast speeds and repeated impacts of enduro racing. This type of riding is more about precision and controlling lines carefully, which the 36 is more than capable. Pro riders have been doing gnarly lines for years with 36 forks. Also rider weight is a big factor here. 180+ can start to feel the benefits more tangibly than lightweight riders like Jackson.
Ended up 2nd overall in his rookie season and only one to win more than once this season and no other than 2 of the gnarliest track of the series; MSA and VDS. What a beast! Oh that's aside from the fact that he had a major operation mid-season. He could've won more if it's not for his appendicitis.

Because most ppl in a mtb clinic don't have the ability to make it work. Same reason surf lessons don't teach u to surf properly
