I think there should be more videos like this because it shows that even people like you - people with BIG experience and extraordinary skills - have to learn, try and still have some kind of respect for the obstacles you are trying to overcome. In normal videos everything looks so easy and smooth. Many riders even cut out their mistakes and show only perfect attempts, which can make the viewer overestimate their own abilities. Everyone should know that the best way to learn big things is to take small steps.
I know how big the difference is between action camera footage and reality because once I recorded my ride (on a much easier trail) and it looked like a pavement ride. :) That makes me even more fascinated by what you have done and shown us in this video.
Keep it up!
I think a huge bit of progression for mountain bikers is understanding what you're feeling when it's time to do a scary or new feature. And having the guts to say no, especially when it's on video. Take the wins, put them in your pocket, let your brain focus on the wins and come back to it with confidence.
Knowing that the cameras don’t do these features justice is even more mind blowing, because damn they look gnarly! Props to both of y’all.
You guys are true professionals. That mindset you showed in the video applies to every rider in their riding progression. Well done
Much appreciated!
The rule I follow is: Do not let your mind write checks your body can't cash! This is a valuable video that underscores experience and deliberation...
I can't forget the time I needed the 🧻 on a trail! Damn😂😂😂
I totally feel the anxiety of revisiting that run. Watching that back then, a little pee came out.
Awesome seeing Steve out riding with you again. Don't see enough of him out there.
Two of my favorite riders.....and they are so smart, safe, and awesome for reminding us all not to ride above our abilities. Yeeeew!!!
Hey guys, really enjoyed this one. I'm 60 years old and ride 3 to 4 days a week. I had a crash mid August at Panorama, Dropping into Crazy Train. Broke my elbow and wrist. Was riding with a younger crowd. I guess I was over confident. Great job on the channel . Merci and safe riding.
Massive respect to you both!
Wicked rides and wicked features, again.
We remind all our first timers, that if you don't feel comfortable doing the feature, don't do it.
We have some features, that aren't close to this level, and while I have ridden all of em, I still walk em on the day, if I don't feel I have the Mojo!
No shame, what so ever, showing up at work on Monday, in one piece.
Thank you Remy, for another fine video.
I'm not sure I'd make it down the run in! but I still love watching these videos. Amazing skill, humbleness and good honest advice to less skilful riders
Beautiful video. Loving the lack of music. Knowing when to say "nah, I'll leave that for tomorrow" is awesome.
A true masterclass on tech thats how it feels with every video you upload not just watching someone ride, you're an excellent teacher
Really love watching these guys ride together. Neither of them tries to outdo the other. Respecting each other’s decisions and building confidence together. That’s what riding is all about 👍cheers from Germany guys✌️
As it should be
I could watch you two smoke this gnar all day! Sick video!!
Love watching y'all ride the gnarliest features in B.C!
Steve watching that crash last year was rough. Watching you come back from that was amazing. Good on ya for not doing it this time since you weren't 100% feeling it.
Rémy amazing as always!
24:38 just can't stop grinning at this...and glad Steve listened to his inner voice.
Love this video and the message you have presented. Insane lines! Had a big crash a few weeks ago and have been building back that mental confidence! 🤙
You guys are just awesome. To share the side of your ride that deals with fear and how you manage it and take the right decisions is a enormous proof of humility.
This is really inspirational for those who follow you to learn how to improve our riding in or our journey.
Thanks for sharing!!!
You guys are great leaders in our sport! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and the process of building up to hard features. This is a really excellent video, it is educational and inspiring!
Our pleasure!
🎉Two legends on the trails, what more could you want. Absolute precision with the mountain bike.
You guys are great ambassadors of the sport. Safety is very important. Respect. Remi will you do a video on your drop technique? Please.
So smart. Love that last move and the message!
@steve vandorvek is riding great! Even after that crash, I know how difficult is to regain confidence.
Steve is such an enrichment for this channel! Great video as always, Rémy!
Glad you think so!
Incredible! The skills on show here are quite something. The thought you put into each feature is inspiring. Amazing!
Merci Rémy ! Superbe démonstration d'engagement et de contrôle. La combinaison des deux est inspirante. Suis fan !!
Bravo à Steve qui revient encore plus en maîtrise après son énorme crash de l'an dernier. Respect !
Perfect mental game and very important information for amateur riders! Thanks!
much needed video for the mtb community, thanks Remy and Steve. shits getting bonkers these days. the kids need a reality check
smart and staying safe only way to go
I really absorbed that point of blur being a sign of significance
You know its getting gnarly when remy pulls out the full face😂🤘
Some crazy great riding guys. Always listen to your inner voice. Thanks
Trio Infernale🔥 Alex's filming ON POINT! And u two guys riding this stuff....kind a not from this planet😨😱👌! How the hell🔥❤
Great stuff. Love seeing you and Steve break things down
More to come!
That line actually looks insane! Nice video keep up the good content!
Sick video guys. Thank you
Thanks for the great tips.
You bet!
Those were gnarly features. Great riding.
The Butch and Sundance of Mt b TH-cam - love it!
Absolute Banger🔮
Great Video and good Tips 👍
Remy riding with a full face. Gnarly stuff to come.
You guys make it look EASY! 😂 KEEP SHREDDING! 🚲🚲🚲
The best videos. Biking tec stuff in Squamish 🔥
When you said it was a special guest the other day I knew it was steve.
Grande Remy!
Steve has the best banger mullet evar!
His "pretty chill" is my God-like Saiyan.
Hey @remymetaillier, you should review your products. We all respect your riding. You certainly could expand your audience. What are your new😊 shoes?
They are the new Fizik Gravita Tensor Team editon. I will do product reviews soon!
I’m pretty sure that in a past life, both you guys were an Ibex!
This is sick!
Great video, however, we have very different ideas about ‘warming up’ on the trail.
Just watching the slo-mo of the second drop and thought "I wonder what kind of shoes they are, theyre cool looking." check the description its the only item not listed haha!
Oh shit. Fizik Gravita Tensor Team Edition
Sick man, love the content! Am hoping to ride in Canada in May next year! Been watching a lot of videos from around BC area! the riding looks incredible!@@remymetailler
👏 à vous deux . Good job 👍
LOL!! Guys are Warming up with a 50 Feets Bunny Up !! 😅
Yah Steve!!!! There's always next time.... smart move!!!
Help me please
@remymetailler no need Remy your a beast!!! Yewwwwww..
Sure. Both of you have other world skill levels. Check. But, to me, it is the consummate skill you have about what happens between your ears when you front up to these Mission Impossible features. How you can cut through the fear with the clarity to focus on the task. And that you know when to save one for another day if the vibe is off.
Having seen a lot of these features in person, it's comical what you 2 call the warm up line 😅
"I even have a spare bike just incase I fall off a cliff, or something like that"
I flew from Singapore just to be there looking at those slaps. Sending it? A big no no.
why is he the best rider (just crazy on the bike)
Which was more terrifying? The trails today or the stairs in s. America?
Sick post today
Haha, Remy pulled a perfectly placed “that’s what she said.” 😂
Ohhh! Mais c"est tres dangereux!!!!
What under the jersey armor are you running.
A ten years old Troy Lee Designe
Poor Steve definitely suffers from PTSD after that crash
In real this must be wayyyyyy bigger than what it looks on the cam!! 😮
Always
Is your one up bar Carbon or Aluminum??
hey remy,
Do you know if you can buy the Tyee mountain bikes on installment?
i'm unsure. Did you check the Propain website? They should be able to get back to you quick about that.
The The first two feature why on earth would you want to gap into Them as if the normal Lines isn’t scary enough Plus if Steve‘s Wilson was rocking 26s I would be in heaven
What shoes is that😮
Steve looks like a Steve, Remy looks more like a Tim. Awesome vid as always.
Lol
My toxic trait is thinking I'd roll up on that and give it a look...
Remy has got to get someone to help with the video names
Please help me
@@remymetailler some great apps to help with copy & AI tools like chat gee pee tee are amazing.
like änd cömment beföre i watsch the vidäo

This video earned my thumbs pretty early with that toilet paper joke 😂. But seriously, Remy’s videos are the best. His combination of guts and skill is amazing, and he always imparts important lessons that are clear and caring
Thank you!
@@remymetailler any reason for the swap back to the coil for this video? Or do you change it up sometimes?
When Steve is involved you know it's going to be a gnarly one. This one did not disappoint either. 👍👍
You're basically watching the pinnacle of extreme Mountain Biking right here. These guys are the top 1%. Literal do or die moves. Incredible to watch
so much respect to steve for knowing when to call it a day. It's tough to make that decision, but it's really important.
I had a blast seeing and capturing you both sending it all day on these insane features, masterclass!
Thanks Alex. Phenomenal work as always my friend. Looking forward to the next one.
Could you send it too? In the videos your riding skills look almost as good as Remy's
All the way from de suburbzzzz
A true masterclass on how to not die on a mountain top!Jeese louise that was clever dude!
Man, I love these videos. I've never been out there but these edits really bring the features to life. Anything with Steve is always the best!
Glad you like them!
Would love to see it in person one day. Everyone who has experienced the Gopro-effect even on easy to intermediate trails can only imagine how unbelievably intimidating this has to look in real life!
Thank you guys for giving a good exemple to younger riders that you don't have to send everything everytime or just because your crew do it. I always try to warn my friends about features and stuff even if i know they can do it. Nice riding as always and glad you guys take some of your time to give a heads up to the community about the risks and attitude you have to play with.
Our pleasure!
I wonder why Steve doesn't wear any upper body protection? He seems to be mindful of the consequences and also had a bad crash before, so seeing him sending these features in a T shirt seems strange.
These guys are pros. They fall, learn, and get back right at it
Yes, and that is commendable. However, that doesn't take anything away from my question. @@hmongentertainment2022
Pure artistry from you both! Never ceases to amaze me how Steve makes incredibly difficult features look so effortless, and seeing you Remy just attack features with such confidence is epic. Shout-out Alex (@the_frenchliner) for capturing all the action, that rear-wheel tracking doesn't go unnoticed ;)
It’s Steve’s backyard pretty much 😂
I could put subtitles in Spanish! Greetings from Spain Barcelona
Awesome lines! 🔥 Great sending guys! 🤘
Thanks a ton!
Mad respect ! Walk away come back another day.
I remember standing on the top ledge of Dynamite Roll once... I cannot believe the way you guys just send it down like that. INSANE!
Man , you Guys are absolutely Legends . Great Control , perfect on the brakes , nerves of Steel . Thumbs Up !
I had to make this choice just last week end, 3000m mountain unkown trail, zero telephone signal. Better to go back.
Hey Remy, that's incredible. Something like that is actually not drivable at all - but I saw it in the video. I'm getting dizzy just watching it!
You are really professionals! The normal biker is only amazed here, what you do for a performance! Keep it up!!! - you are the best crack ever!
Steve is absolutely slept on, what a weapon. Nice to see you guys work through some big features.
Message to Steve: I don't know if you have been able to get over your blockage since that video, but I am a sport psychologist and my specialty is bike crash trauma recovery. So far, one session was enough for my clients to fix the issue for good. I broke my neck in a bike crash in 2018 and now ride better than ever at 58 so there is hope for everybody! lol I live in BC now and would be happy to help you with that if you are interested...
Total admiration. True professional with your take on riding. Bottom line, know how your feeling and know your limits on any given day. Cheers to both of you....!
Huh 😮. I thought “warming up” meant something like ‘gently starting your day’, ‘get into it with something mellow’. Clearly I was wrong. Who knew. 😂👍
I’m warming up first before watching this video as well. That trail is sick. It’s possible to get injured just by watching the video.
If you don't feel it, don't send it. No shame, nobody cares if you don't ride something. We like you alive.
