He's right, it is simple. In order to be conscious there has to be awareness ... one cannot be conscious without being aware. Society has conditioned itself into "thinking" that consciousness (the total sum) is the true "inner" self. We then cement an attachment to all the images that make up our consciousness. We are deathly afraid of detaching from these illusions. It is this very "consciousness" that fuels the mind in all it's activities. We form psychological constructs like the past and the future which creates a false time in conjunction with actual chronological time. Empty or rather fully detach from the content that makes up your consciousness and the only thing that can be truly left is awareness. Pure awareness. A state where no psychological time can have a place ... the true state of your nature ... which is ... the infinite everything. You are everything, everything is you and when that fact is truly attained the observer becomes the observed.

Thank you so much for sharing this. Listening to near deaths experiences - where they all talk of being outside of time, of an absence of jugement, of a clarity in seeing the answer while asking the question; where love is all… I understand slowly maybe what K. makes reference to by pointing out our obstacle to this clarity which is our obsession with a value attached to « better » and the illusion to be able to bring this about « in » us

Subjective time is the enemy that blocks us every moment, either reflecting back on the past or projecting forward into the future. If we can stop that we find we are in the moment. Easily said, hard to do.

I need expertise to carry out my work so I will require becoming. 😊
As per fear, I must overcome it through practice and determination about what I'm doing, I cannot skip any of these.
