    Nice threads. Poshmark is a great idea. I like just about all of them man. Pockets are a big one and I won't buy a jacket without them. Rip's jacket is cool too, love that show!

    • @rockymtnstyle
      @rockymtnstyle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it's great! There were so many middle-aged ladies who looked me up and down last Halloween and then said how much they loved Rip. Mrs. RMS was not a fan. Hah!!
      Poshmark going well. Both the jackets I posted last night sold already! Maybe I need to raise prices.
      Cheers mate!

    I love the bomber jacket. It’s noticeably a bomber jacket, yet it stands out just enough where you won’t look like everyone else. You’ll be able to have your own sense of style. How warm is the passport jacket? I live just outside of Chicago, IL and it get cold, cold here. Lol. My question would be. How late into the winter season have you worn the passport jacket? Do you feel the need to layer underneath it?

    • @rockymtnstyle
      @rockymtnstyle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed on the bomber. The passport, for me, is as warm as I want in a jacket. I handle the cold very well so I may not be a good judge, but I think it's plenty warm for a Chicago winter. I got it last Feb I think from Huckberry so I didn't get a ton of time with it, so probably 20s and it was fine for me with a scarf and hat.

    Did any of the wax rub off on your car seats while wearing the waxed trucker jacket?

    • @rockymtnstyle

      Nope. Not that I can tell. My raw denim though... Yes... I have cream colored seats. The left bolster now has a nice blue hue lol.

    I usually like my jackets a little larger so I can layer, but the Keanu one is a better color than the next leather one. Maybe one denim one and one waxed one were enough if one was lined or something? Any jacket I can't button or zip I consider TOO SMALL. I would likely do a separate list for sport jackets from other casual or "work" jackets, but you just said you work in an office, so I don't know if that means you regularly wear suits or sport jackets or if your office is totally informal like so many these days?

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy ปีที่แล้ว

      I tend to buy stuff for longevity more than always GET NEW STUFF IN except for the leather upgrades [and then the resale is just the b-tch since everybody is a cheapskate in stupid hoodie now].

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get the wax stuff from maybe Cabela's or possibly Duluth, but I find that since I'm in a dry climate and don't typically NEED it for rainwear, it's better to just let it dry up because otherwise it gets all over everything like your car seats and your other clothes.

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer shirt-jacs overall to "trucker" ones for a couple decades already.

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I think that's just a heavy cord shirt. Most of mine have pockets and some kind of flannel or heavier lining such as fleece or quilting. LL Bean used to have the toughest canvas ones that will last well over ten years of hard use, but I think they've discontinued most of their really rugged stuff.

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess I've never needed a "chore" coat because if I want cargo pockets I can use a military blouse.

    The problem I have with jackets, and which is illustrated well in your video, is that you essentially look the same in majority of your jackets...
    Like if I was your friend and hadn't seen you in a week I'd assume you're wearing the same jacket since last I'd seen you for most of these (which defeats the point of a jacket to me).
    I want to look different each time someone sees me.
    There were a few exceptions in your collection (wax jacket and the puffer jacket) but by and large the shape and styling of all of these is negligible.
    I also like the jacket with the flannel contrast on the inside (it looks really good on you). I think because it's one of few which looks different on you.
    Camel jacket also looks fantastic on you.

    • @rockymtnstyle
      @rockymtnstyle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks for the comment, Al! I can't say I disagree with you. A lot of these I bought at different times for different reasons, or I bought to make a video, or they were samples. As I was making this video I actually came to a similar conclusion as you. I'm going to start offloading a few pieces and saving up for another statement piece. Thanks for the compliments on those 2 jackets. Appreciate it! Cheers, mate!

  • @dougg4633

    Funny,
    People buy the "Best Quality" so itll last and not wear out.
    But it becomes old, as in out of style or lack of use because of to many items

    • @rockymtnstyle
      @rockymtnstyle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it's definitely some cognitive dissonance for sure. I think if I never started a channel I'd have much less, but trying to make content make me a little more of a collector than I should be. Cheers, mate. Thanks for the comment.

      Ever heard of layering, Richard? All jackets in a wardrobe shouldn't fit the same. Also I bought some when I was fatter.
