      Hello Josh how are you today? My name is Erik Sanchez Im a student of yours on the course careers I.T course. It was because of you that I decided to take the course careers I.T course. I’m stuck on Lab 2 of the azure website. I did everything correctly followed the directions but when I look up network watcher and click on topology my VMs don’t come up. Do you think it’s ok if I delete what I created and start over again?

I just started an entry level IT Technician job and only a couple months in. After finishing the course, do you think I will need more experience under my belt? Or should I really get a little more experience before I start applying. I think I will put my Sec+ studying on hold for taking the course. I hope the course might actually give me the experience of what I have been reading. Thanks for all the great info packaged together.

    Hey Josh,
    Other courses you recommend, like the IT Course, is done through CourseCareers while it looks like this CyberSecurity course is done through LeveldCareers. I recall that there was community support and the fact that completing the CourseCareers course already led directly to companies who are partnered with CourseCareers to offer interviews to graduates. Is this going to also be true of the CyberSecurity course offered through Leveld? Also, what are some other differences between CourseCareers and Leveld?

    Are you using vacation days/PTO when you travel? I imagine the time difference if you do travel and work at the same time is difficult to manage when it comes to syncing with team mates or attending meetings at a "reasonable" hour.
    Second question, is it required that you need to visit the office every once in awhile as a contractor at Microsoft? Such as maybe visiting the office three times per year and then you're free to go off traveling around the world while working. Thanks.

    • @JoshMadakor
      @JoshMadakor  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Second question, It really depends on the team you work for. I didn't have to. I never actually had to step foot in the office even once, lol. But the last 3 months of my employment, I lived right next to Microsoft and was there all the time because the facilities are really good :)

I work with a guy who is in the same Unit as the guy who was just arrested by the FBI for leaking those documents for many months. My question for you Josh, is where were the auditors like the ISSO’s or equivalent to the Air Force to catch this guy who was extricating classified information. I know for a fact that when somebody burns a disk or prints from a classified system, it shows up in the audit logs. How could this have gone unquestioned for many months?? Clearly the Air Force is not auditing their systems.

      Hey! The course will present stuff to you that's really useful, and if learned well, will result in the skills required for remote work in tech ,but it's up to you to do the labs over and over and over again and research where needed, in order to build your intuition and skill :). I have an entry-level It course that might be an easier place to start. Many people have gotten remote jobs after that course as well. joshmadakor.tech/it
