This is a great interview. This is the second person that took the course that have a bachelor degree and have the certification in comptia security plus and then take joshes course to eventually end up with a very good job. The one prior to this was a guy from Texas so people the common denominator is this to get a very good position and cyber security. You need your degree and at least one certification everything after that is an added bonus. Great work, Josh I look forward to taking a course.

@@GABRIELJACMEL not in this day in age. . I have a senior position in one of the most biggest banks where I work with tech and non technical roles. You have to be able to market yourself and get hands on exp . Nothing wrong with a degree but it’s not needed to get to a big bag . I follow and talk to so many black people in tech that making 100k and up with no degree and it’s not just the government sector . I’m in too many networks to even believe it and work with people as myself with “no degree”. Managers want you to be able to learn and show that you can do the work . My position even listed it needed a degree . I have no degree lol . I know how to market myself and research ! Transferable skills , Certs, and hands on exp in todays world can take you far .

Outstanding.. very informative and inspiring, especially since right now it is hard to find a true "entry level" role. He brings up alot of great points, a company that is willing to invest in a candidate will get a loyal and hard working member of the team for many years to come.
I have found myself in a similar situation, my current company noticed my hard work and leadership, and are now offering me a chance to break into a cyber role while willing to train and certify me along the way. This shows that even though we might not find a dream job the first time, as long as you land in a good company with a great team, opportunities will always present themselves if you work hard enough.

It's either you like my skillset or you don't.
