Plastic Pollution on Croatian Beaches

- This is all the plastic waste we collected during our summer vacation from the beaches near Vinjerac city. All collected plastic waste has been recycled.
With this video we want to raise awareness of the plastic pollution and microplastic problem in the oceans and on the beaches. Plastic is very quickly turned into microplastic by the ocean waves which is then ingested by fishes and sea animals we eat.
We should be more responsible and produce less plastic waste, especially single-use plastic products. We should also handle waste disposal properly, it should never end up in nature!

It’s upsetting to witness the blatant disrespect that mankind has for this wonderful planet. Croatia is not alone in the fight against the dumping of rubbish and subsequent pollution to its beautiful coastline, countryside and its public domain. I have scuba-dived for decades and I’ve become increasingly disgusted by the amount of rubbish gathered and removed from numerous dive sites. The entire world is becoming increasingly affected by the unconscionable conduct of blatantly disrespectful [individual & corporate] rubbish dumpers and polluters. The compounding affects of global warming over the past 25-years are unreservedly concerning, to say the least. I trust that mankind’s ability to listen, learn and take action [according to fact] will increasingly reduce the affects of climate change across this wonderful planet, we call Earth and home!
Even your plastic beaches look amazing ! I'll be honest I was distracted at 0:45 by the two teacups on the front of the boat , what a dream amazing calm water sunshine and a cup of tea. I need to escape the UK.
You are so right, we are the only species not in tune with nature. No other animal would do that. If just more people were like you and would think and care more. 🙏

Congrats to you, your wife and family/friend for this disturbing view of the plastic pollution issues facing Croatian beaches, and your willingness to collect and recycle.
Your video also highlighted the deep blue hue and crystal clear water of this beach near Vinjerac. I haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Croatia to date, but I’m going to add it to our list of European travel destinations😃👍
And then some say dogs are filthy animals don´t bring them to beaches...Take first a look on this, it all came from the humans
