- Bass fishing off the bank in deeper water is a great way to target post spawn fish. In this vlog, I'm giving you fishing tips for fishing off the bank and using some new bass fishing lures to catch these fish. Using a fish finder is key to finding these fish as well. I'll show you some fish finding tips on the graph that will help you identify fish and be able to tell if the bass are feeding or not. My primary fishing techniques for this video are a carolina rigged plastic worm and a boot tail swimbait. The needle worm and the ring fry worm were catching the most numbers of bass, but I had the biggest fish when fishing the swimbait. I got on a few different schools of largemouth bass and they were in similar water depths around the lake. Fishing away from the bank can produce some big bass and lots of them in the post spring months. Even though this is spring time now, there are already fish moving away from the bank and more fish will be moving to deeper water soon.

LFG, fishing close to your earlier years, North Central Texas. Frustrated as all get out. Have yet to land a bass this year. Been strands to bank, boats down currently. Any advice you can throw my way? I've really targeted setting in on bass for the first time in my fishing years. I'm getting skunked, but I'm not giving up. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Hopefully boat will be on the water in the next week or two. But need to get this skunk off me. HELP!!!
bryan reneau try going to points that have a low current at the main point and high current off that same point.. if you get into a hot spot stay there the big ones will eventually bite. But if that doesn't work go to deeper water and throw a deep to medium diving crank bait. if that doesn't work..try a football head jig with a crawfish type body.. it's always worked for me!!

@ 8:08 when you are looking at the chart..are the fish right below the boat? if not where are they in relation to where your boat is sitting.. I have a hard time transferring what i see on the map to where i need to fish.

When you're throwing that swimbait with the exposed hook is that something you would throw in rocks and on pond dams. With wood would you throw the same hook or more of a weedless presentation?
