    Thanks for reporting about the tender to shore and how you have to get transport to excursions. Now looking at excursion companies that provide transport!

      Thanks, I’m glad the video was helpful. Here is a couple excursion companies we use all the time and trust. They both have always provided great service.

    Belize port shops are the most expensive compared to Cozumel, Costa Maya, or Roatan.

    So if i understand well, there's no beach at the port that we can go into the water, only shopping or Excursions?

      There are no beach areas around the port or near Belize City. The water here is pretty dirty and really not the best for swimming anyway. There are some beaches south of the city that you can take an excursion to or get a taxi. There are also several good beaches on the islands just a short boat ride away from the city.

    I don’t think anyone would ask to braid your hair.

      😂 it might be a little difficult for them.

    Tendering is not a problem. I consider it a mini excursion. We hated Cozumel, Roatan, and (mostly) Costa Maya. All I ever want to do ashore is have a local beer and try some street food, but they are fenced in enclaves and a totally fake experience. In Costa Maya left the enclave and found a grocery store for antacids without paying a 5X sucker tax. Harvest Caye, Belize is OK, but not the real Belize either.
    Will be visiting Bermuda, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic by ship soon, and have high hopes for a very different port experience.

      I waz thinking about the costa maya, mahogany bay,and cozumel cruise. although I'm tired of Cozumel, I was looking forward to the first two mentioned. Why you didn't like those ports

      @@cloudygigi2270 The ports were not at al like visiting the people and culture of Mexico or Honduras. They were cruise company enclaves with nothing to see or do except buy made in China trinkets, overpriced beer and bad food.

      Snorkeling and scuba diving is amazing in Belize

      You didn’t see the real Belize. You should have before discussing what to do there

      @Lord.Kiltridge Thank you for responding, I didn't choose the Belize Itinerary but opted for Honduras, Costa Maya and of Cozumel. I'm going to make the best of it.

    So when travel to Belize on a cruise ship, you have to take a smaller boat to get to the port?

    • @take2-travel
      @take2-travel  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, you have to tender out in the middle of the ocean and take a ferry. The port area is too shallow for the large ships, so they can’t get any closer to the ports.

    Is port coral open yet?

      It wasn’t when we were there and it still needed a lot of work. From what I’ve heard it still isn’t open yet.
