For Roatan, I suggest the Roatan Rum Distillery and the two Chocolate Factories (especially the one on the beach at the other side of the island). Royal Caribbean used to have an excursion to those before the pandemic but not anymore. However, we were able to hire a car & driver through TripAdvisor in 2021 and we got to go to them again.
That sounds amazing!! My sister would love that. We will definitely have to look out for it when we go. Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy travels
Hi friend. New subscriber. 🙋🏻♀️ I just got back from a carnival vista cruise from Galveston to Mahogany Bay in Roatán. Belize and Cozumel. It was awesome loved Mahogany Bay beach 🏝️ and the Magical flying beach chair was the perfect way to see all of the beach.
Im headed there this time next year and I’m hoping expansion construction will possibly be finished by then, but I can’t find a timeline anywhere online. Fingers crossed!
It is usually cheaper to do it at the port. There are some risks doing that. The excursion you want might be sold out and when you book with a cruise line they will wait for you to come back. Just be sure you know when you need to be back and your clocks are right :)
We are going next year, and thinking of the gumblimba and Tabayana excursion. We also want to have time to shop a bit a grab a drink. Do you think an hour and a half is enough time to explore the port after our excursion? Its our first cruise so we want to be back on the ship a bit early, leaving us 90 minutes after the excursion for the port.
That sounds like a lot of fun. You will definitely have enough time. There won’t be many people at the port and it isn’t that big. We hope you have a great first cruise 🚢 ❤️
Roatan is always a favorite stop of ours. Love the video. 😊
Thanks for your support. It is so beautiful 🏝️
Particularly valuable comment on not needing to tender, we had a long wait in Greece for tenders. Always enjoy your videos
The Tenders can be a long wait. It is nice to get off quick and explore. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What is tender?
Jolly Roger Catamaran is the best. This was one of our favorites.
That sounds like so much fun!!
I popped out for a drink and had one of the best long island iced teas I had ever had!
My favorite thing to know is can I easily walk to a beach or place to enter the water and swim or snorkel. Thanks for great video and inspiration 😊
Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy travels 🦩

The port at Roatan has changed in remarkable ways since I last visited.
When was the last time you visited?
Man, been watching all your cruise videos. Can you believe I have never done a cruise before? HAHAHA. This ship is HUGE! LIKE 61. 👍👍👍
Lol cruising is so much fun. A big resort at sea and you get to visit new ports. Thanks for your support 😊
We went to one of the Sloth Hangouts and loved it! Who wouldn't love to hold a sloth? 😊

Who did you use/what sanctuary did you go to?
Maya Key is awesome!
We used Real Deal tours good prices, and many of different excursion.
Do you have go in excursions to see the sloths? Where are they at?😊

We couldn’t find a timeline either but it looks awesome. We will keep you posted :) happy travels 🦩
Thank you! Can you walk to any beach?
We have not tried walking as we are usually there in the summer heat. Cabs are a decent price and might be a better option.
Is the cost for excursions cheaper when booked on site at port, or through the cruise ship prior?

Stay in the tourist areas. The poverty everywhere else will make you sick.
Did you give a few dollars to anyone in the poverty area?
