We loved Belize’s a rough getting there but once your there our stay was amazing and the people are so kind. We felt safe. The amount of time we were told by the people that they take care of visitors because that’s how they make their money. It shows. It was nice the island so small we kept running into the same people it’s comforting.

Secret Beach is nice for a first time attraction but as a belizean who dont like the large crowds at secret beach i suggest tourist ask about "rocky point" you can literally look over the barrier reef while one the shallow side of the sea. Perfect for a more tranquil family time.

How much did you spend while you were there? If you hadn’t stayed at the resort, how much. How many days/ weeks/ months were you there? Did you need your VPn? I’m looking to move there as a digital nomad for 1-3 months. Plan is to connect with expat community for appropriate pricing like my time in Thailand 🇹🇭 China 🇨🇳 and Taiwan 🇹🇼. The story of the flag is funny. When I was a kid in the 70s before independence one of the guy was black and one white. Now one is black and one mestizo. They had the flag made in China or Taiwan at a certain point and it came back one black and the other Chinese.

We were just in Belize and had to do a return trip about a month later. There is so much to like about Belize and buying land down there is amazing and the reality is there is so much freedom built into ownership down there.

I think you’ll do great. I got my Driver’s license in China when I lived there. It was also the first time I got an accident. My license was company sponsored, but I’m pretty sure that if you’re not in Vietnam or most of Asia on a scooter or one of those countries driving. You should be just fine. With AI, my return to traveling the world will restart in my 40’s. The Digital Nomad lifestyle will commence soon. Essentially coaching 9-15 hours of classes per month can pay for a good lifestyle in most countries with internet 🛜 2nd world country infrastructure abroad.

What's interesting is I've never had problems with mosquitos, and I typically go once a year. My only thought is it may have something to do with the fact that I don't eat beef or pork, which may come out in your pores.
Hey there! When do you typically go to Belize? I've been during summer, winter and spring. The mosquitos can be quite relentless in winter, at least from my experience. If you traveled in winter I will have to give up meat. 😂

The Belizian dollar is tied to the US dollar. As well as El Salvador in Central America. The reason food is so expensive is the import duties are the highest in Central America in Belize. So it’s local grown it’s way cheaper but the import duties for food is cheaper in Costa Rica but going out to dinner, in Costa Rica , is considerably more expensive which you already know I’m sure.
At the Mahogany Bay when you were filming I didn't seem like there were a lot of people. What should one expect during the summer months at that location

You can only book through Hilton for any property in Mahogany Bay resort. Even if somebody owns a home there and wants to rent it out they must go through Hilton and that will give you access to the mahogany bay beach. There are some properties further away in Mahogany Bay that you can rent directly through Airbnb and Verbo, but you do not gain access to the mahogany bay beach.

Congrats on visiting every country in Central America guys. So many gems in this video😍 We stayed at Mahogany Bay for part of our rent trip to Belize - we love the beach club. We also toured Blue Hole by plane - spectacular views🙌🏾

The story of the flag is funny. When I was a kid in the 70s before independence one of the guy was black and one white. Now one is black and one mestizo. They had the flag made in China or Taiwan at a certain point and it came back one black and the other Chinese.
That's quite an interesting story about the flag! It's amazing how things can change over time, even in the design of a flag. Thanks for sharing!

We were just in Belize and had to do a return trip about a month later. There is so much to like about Belize and buying land down there is amazing and the reality is there is so much freedom built into ownership down there.

Hey there! Congrats on conquering Central America! I'm traveling to Belize with my husband and teenage daughter and wondered if you found the drive to San Ignacio challenging to navigate. This will be my first time driving a car outside of the U.S. and would like to know what to expect.

I think you’ll do great. I got my Driver’s license in China when I lived there. It was also the first time I got an accident. My license was company sponsored, but I’m pretty sure that if you’re not in Vietnam or most of Asia on a scooter or one of those countries driving. You should be just fine. With AI, my return to traveling the world will restart in my 40’s. The Digital Nomad lifestyle will commence soon. Essentially coaching 9-15 hours of classes per month can pay for a good lifestyle in most countries with internet 🛜 2nd world country infrastructure abroad.

What's interesting is I've never had problems with mosquitos, and I typically go once a year. My only thought is it may have something to do with the fact that I don't eat beef or pork, which may come out in your pores.
Hey there! When do you typically go to Belize? I've been during summer, winter and spring. The mosquitos can be quite relentless in winter, at least from my experience. If you traveled in winter I will have to give up meat. 😂

The Belizian dollar is tied to the US dollar. As well as El Salvador in Central America. The reason food is so expensive is the import duties are the highest in Central America in Belize. So it’s local grown it’s way cheaper but the import duties for food is cheaper in Costa Rica but going out to dinner, in Costa Rica , is considerably more expensive which you already know I’m sure.

At the Mahogany Bay when you were filming I didn't seem like there were a lot of people. What should one expect during the summer months at that location
Thank you for noticing the peacefulness in the video! In the summer, Mahogany Bay does see more visitors, but the charm of the place remains. We went in august and it wasnt bad at all

It really can get quite humid in Belize City! Staying hydrated is key during those hot days.

You can only book through Hilton for any property in Mahogany Bay resort. Even if somebody owns a home there and wants to rent it out they must go through Hilton and that will give you access to the mahogany bay beach. There are some properties further away in Mahogany Bay that you can rent directly through Airbnb and Verbo, but you do not gain access to the mahogany bay beach.
