Will Eevee Heroes be reprinted?

- Since the beginning of this year of 2024, the Pokémon company started reprinting Japanese sets one after the other. Rulers of the Black Flame, 151, Clayburst, Scarlet & Violet base, Vstar Universe, and the last ones announced, Paradigm Trigger, Incandescent Arcana, and Lost Origin.
So everyone is wondering, what about Eevee Heroes??? There are rumors of a reprint but can it really happen, and what would be the consequences? Let’s break it down and discuss it!
I really hope they reprint all the popular sets. People should be able to buy and play with these cards if they are in demand. Investing in these cards is not a good idea. There are so many other investments out there that are far better than trading cards.
Agreed, never bought as many boxes as recently :-)
I think if they keep reprint those cards . the pokemon cards will return to what it is piece of paper. then for long run all the card store and fliter
will lost their money and client nobody want to single card anymore then pas company will lost money too
I agree with what your saying here. if they end up reprinting eevee heroes, yes, i'll buy a lot of it.
and if it does lead to a further market crash in JPN slabs, singles, and sealed, i'll also be getting a lot of that aswell. i think the market will eat up whatever is given to them if there are reprints of anything in SwSh or earlier at this point. it would be really chaotic for a while, but it'd settle down and rise up again once the reprints are distributed easily and everyone did what they wanted to do with what they got.
I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t buy a reprint of EH. I would enjoy cracking some open on the channel. Never had the chance to get one and looking at how much I paid for my only 2 booster boxes it is unlikely I will open them anytime soon xD
If they do reprint evee heroes then I will buy them all with a second mortgage. And not buy the new team rocket set coming in 2025.

Since it is a highly desired and valued collection, reprinting this collection would take a huge drop in the confidence of collectors and investors

they reprint playable cards. if eevee heroes cards somehow become playable then yes it can happen.

looking it only took less than 30 minutes for the reprint to be sold out, seems like the reprint is small quantities.... what is your opinion on the PSA 10 alt arts prices from reprinted boxes in couple months ahead ????
Usually the alt art price follows the same pattern as the Booster box. For example, when Clayburst was at 14,000yen a box, Iono sar was sold for 100,000yen raw. When the box dropped to 7/8000, Iono dropped to 50,000. And now that the box is at 6,000, Iono is at 33/35000.
The box itself has a soft limit at msrp, so I see Iono going down to 30,000 and then stabilize. Clayburst is a box that sells fairly well so I don’t see it going below msrp.
Same thing can be said for Lost Origin and Paradigm Trigger. When Paradigm trigger was at 11,000, Lugia was selling for 40/45,000yen. Now that the box sells for roughly 6,000, Lugia sells for 25,000.
When Lost Origin was selling for 20,000, Giratina was selling for 70,000yen.
Now that Lost Origin sells for 9,000 yen, Giratina sells for 40,000. After the reprint, if the box goes down to, let’s say, 6,000. I could see Giratina going down to 30,000, then stabilize before eventually going back up once the market swallows the reprint.
I would buy it at 30,000 :-)
Of course what I said now is for raw cards, the same can overall be said for PSA10 versions of these cards.

I bought into Eevee Heroes when it released, bought a few booster boxes, gym set and got the master set. All boxes are still sealed, since im a sealed collector.
That said, if they reprint a bunch of the okder sets, they will get a huge influx of money from the primary market, but they will crash the secondary market. The more older sets they reprint the more people will loose faith in the brand. Every set that came out i would buy a few boxes, 1 or 2 if i didnt like the set up to 6 - 7 if i did. At this point I dont have the faith that the singles, sealed boxes or brand will not reprint any set i buy and make it "worthless". So I am pulling out of buying Japaese as much as i once did.
Look at all the resellers, they are fire selling everything. Despite the scummy behaviour they kept the PCJ afloat by buying enormous amount of product. Will those people continue to buy as much in the future? No. They will move out of the hobby and put their money else where. Look at the recent sets, all are selling well under MSRP. Pokemon Center Japan cant sell them because Amazin is under cutting them, 5400 yen on PCJ v.s. 4500 or lower on Amazon.
This, plus the fact that the sets aren’t that great and not finding their audience.
From what I heard from various store owners, the amount of preorders for the new sets dropped nearly 60% since Rulers of the Black Flame.
The PCJ wants to put the cards in everyone’s hand but ultimately if it doesn’t sell on the primary market that’s when it’s not profitable for them. They probably have figured that out already and might end up slowing down the printers. Future flash and ancient roar are still widely available everywhere at 60/70% msrp. Even big chain stores start discounting them.
Overall I’m like you, if they were to reprint older sets I’d buy all the ones I missed in the past. But that’s because I’m a collector as well, don’t care much about reselling so for me the cheaper the better.
The market will eventually go back up but I don’t see this happening before the 30th anniversary.
we all buy from secondary market that is the point. filter buy a lot then resell . as i know eevee hero already reprint . I brought them in second wave.
They better reprint poncho Pikachu. Eevee heroes are not big deals! How dare they reprint all the poncho boxes 🎉🎉🎉. Look that price Eevee hero just piece of cake

IMO, as a collector, it's a very good new if they do reprint those hype set... BUT ! I understand that bring a lot of constraints.
Recently we all saw what happened with 151 : massive reprint, the whole set is now cheap, the hype is behind. Maybe 151 is going to be the new VSTAR Universe (gorgeous but worthless set) ?
Maybe they should do some kind of .x5 set "hall of fame cards" with a 2nd edition of all bangers ?
Easy money for them, happy customers, and 1st edition still keeping they're aura/price...

Pokemon doesnt care about "collectors" or "investors" they care about people playing the game. The days of "first edition" are over because that creates artificial value which they dont care about at all

Lost abyss, incandescent arcane and paradigm trigger are not yet in rotation, that are still playable in the tcg. So this should not be a surprise, they have done that in the past years with other sets before they rotated them like jet black spirit, silver lance, electrifying tackle and eevee heroes , they were all reprinted.
The issue is for the one that hoarded those later set from lost abyss to scarlet and violet... they should understand the risk and hopefully are not operating with rolling credit card debts... now we are probably observing in japan the equivalent of "survival of the fittest" ... the market will get healthier after that.
People are also selling high end sealed product and cards, because they need cash either to buy the latest reprint and flip it for gains... or to recover on a crashing balance sheet.
A bit of chaos from Japan. I'm also expecting to see that in the english market in the autumn... then maybe we will have 5-10y "winter" where people will wonder how foolish it was to see those "investors" operating the way they did.
You’re totally right when you say it shouldn’t be a surprise as it has been done in the past.
I think part of the reason people were in fact surprised is because they are in this case reprinting the previous generation. When eevee heroes, jet black spirit or electrifying tackle reprints happened we were still in sword & shield.
So many people now are under the impression that there is no limit to what can be reprinted, while it’s in fact not the case (as long as the Pokémon company stays true to what they’ve been doing for the past 28 years).
And of course as you mentioned all the « investors » who massively purchased eevee heroes/blue sky stream and are now crying.
@@PokeNickinJapan « investors » who massively purchased eevee heroes/blue sky stream" -> no i didn't mean eevee heroes, I meant people who heavily bought from the latest s&shield and s&v sets from lost abyss to scarlet and violet... people didn't see the rise of eevee heroes , the same could be said to evolving skies... people didn't see its potential. Now of course they could reprint everything... the thing I d like to see reprinted is the mario/luigi-pikachu which is very popular and is ultimately not at reach to many (I will not advise to buy at those prices, it's just insane)... there i d like pokemon to give an answer.. maybe not a straight reprint but a similar colaboration.
You have no idea how much I’d like a reprint of the Mario/luigi Pikachu boxes…
If they did reprint WOTC era cards (most likely won’t) they couldn’t do it with 1st Ed stamps could they? They also couldn’t have ‘copyright 1999 Wizards’ at the bottom. So for those reasons I don’t think it would do a whole lot for people collecting vintage and not wanting the prices of those to tank. 1st Ed stamps are always going to fetch a premium.

There was also never a 1st ed Japanese base set…both of your points are not valid in this
Japanese base set do have the « no rarity » mark version though which kind of is the equivalent of 1st ed, but that’s the only set with a no rarity version.
@@PokeNickinJapan while that is true, its still not a 1st ed stamp, and it still doesn’t change the fact that WOTC was never printed on Japanese base either.

Hey PokeNick, thank you for discussing this! hmm let's say hypothetically they do reprint it, when do you reckon they would do it? I presume the longer time passes the less likely it is to happen, is there a certain window for a reprint to happen?
Tough question, so don’t quote me on this. They’ve announced the lost abyss reprint through July, and I doubt they will announce a new reprint before then. So let’s assume they announce it in August, if they skip Starbirth, Vmax Climax and go straight to Eevee Heroes, I’d say September.
I think that if the Japanese market did crash that would create huge opportunities for true collectors, and would weed out all the types of investors that have no heart for it. A lot of sports cards stores and sellers are invested into Pokémon just for the monetary value of it. I would love if they left the space so this product goes into the hands of true passionate ppl , whether or not there investing or collecting, i’d rather see this product in our hands, then sitting in storage spaces of people who could care less for Pokémon. If they want to reprint it there is no time windows.... eevee heroes was reprinted 3 times. Pokemon makes money regardless of what they print 😂
